Chief Meadows believes the gang unit is already helping with the crack down of slider crimes and Narcotic rings. Because he kissed up to The Donald, the future for Billy Bush is all but over at The Today Show. According to both The Hollywood Reporter and The Los Angeles Times, the embattled anchor is negotiating his way off the morning program. It is expected that he will leave under what both sides will likely deem some kind of “mutual” arrangement, with a buyout involved and Bush avoiding the fate of actually being fired. But his departure comes as no surprise. Bush has been in the center of the news for all the wrong reasons for several days now. On Friday afternoon, The Washington Post released a video from 2005. It featured Bush and Donald Trump laughing about the latter’s sexual exploits with women, as Bush egged Trump on and found his description of how he just grabs a female by the genitals whenever he feels like it to be hilarious. Totally cool and awesome and hilarious. The stars were aboard an Access Hollywood bus, on the way to the set of Days of Our Lives, when Bush spotted Arianne Zucker. “Sheesh, your girl’s hot as sh-t. In the purple. Yes! The Donald has scored,” Bush said like an absolute moron upon seeing Zucker, with whom Trump was to film a cameo. You can watch the idiotic and immature exchange between Bush and Trump below: Donald Trump & Billy Bush: Lewd Comments Caught on Video Soon after the tape went viral and Trump’s campaign when into a tailspin, Bush issued an apology. “Obviously I’m embarrassed and ashamed,” he said on Friday. “It’s no excuse, but this happened eleven years ago – I was younger, less mature, and acted foolishly in playing along. I’m very sorry.” As far as apologies go, it’s a solid one. It’s simple, contrite and to the point. But it also appears to be a case of way too little, way too late. According to The Los Angeles Times, female producers and personalities on The Today Show made it known since this news broke that they don’t want to work with Bush. A previous report had said Bush wasn’t very popular on set even before this video went public. With Today locked in an ongoing ratings battle with Good Morning America, the program cannot afford this kind of publicity. It also cannot afford guests canceling an appearance with Bush and heading over to GMA instead. Bush only joined NBC News in August as co-host of the show’s third hour, alongside Al Roker and Tamron Hall; it didn’t help his cause that Bush was so new to the series. “He doesn’t have enough time there to warrant anyone of substance going out of their way to help him,” said a Times insider. It’s also worth noting that females represent 68% of the audience in this third hour. So it’s pretty easy math and logic. It’s not hard to see why producers saw no way to move forward with Bush. The annoying host has allegedly been distraught ever since the video emerged last week, but he’ll probably end up with a big six or even seven-figure buyout check after all is said and done. So life could be worse for Billy Bush. It also helps a little that the other men on this scandalous video is running to be President of the United States. Donald Trump has sucked up most of the negative attention, similar to how Bush is sucking up to him in the video. Both of these guys suck, pretty much. Well Gabby is speaking further on his film “Birth Of A Nation” and stating that while she understands why some folks refuse to watch, she’s still standing behind it. Union plays a slave in the film who’s raped. E! News reports: “I say, for a lot of different reasons this film’s going to be difficult to see for a lot of people, and I get it,” Union, who wrote about her own rape and the Parker controversy in a powerful essay for the Los Angeles Times, tells me. “There are movies I sit out, so I understand and I’d be a hypocrite to say I don’t. “But I would say this movement that this film has inspired includes our issues,” she continued. “That is my sole purpose, and I’ve been by joined by so many advocates and allies on our cast and worldwide who say this is uncomfortable and everything makes me so angry, but I recognize that there is a movement that I want to be a part of, and that movement is education about sexual violence, toxic masculinity, misogyny, rape culture. I want to be a part of that.” Nate Parker also spoke on his film and danced around a question about people skipping out on it. Parker didn’t directly address the sexual assault allegations when I asked about those who have decided to skip what he has called a “labor of love” and a “passion project.” He first praised the 400 people involved in the making of the movie. “My hope is that we can recognize that films are very difficult to be made, and then furthermore, that this film is hopefully more than a film, that it’s an opportunity to be parlayed into a movement that we can look at this and say, ‘Yeah there was the film, but after the film I had this conversation,’” Parker said. “You know, after the film I talked to my kids and said, ‘You know what son, or daughter, this is how you should move forward, or this is what this type of integrity looks like when it comes to standing up for people around you.’” Will YOU be going to see “Birth Of A Nation” on October 7??? ESPN’s Jovan Buha reported that while Lakers head coach Byron Scott said that his decision to bench Young over the Lakers’ last few games has “everything to do with basketball,” he was adamant that it was Young’s mental state, not divisiveness among the team, that caused him to place the 30-year-old shooting guard on the inactive list. “It has nothing to do with the chemistry,” Scott said at practice on Monday. “It has everything to do with just basketball.
