Lady Gaga Meat Dress: The Low-Cut Return!

Lady Gaga shocked us with her now-infamous meat dress at the 2010 MTV Music Awards. Monday, she debuted a new spin of the carnivorous couture. Performing inside a meat locker-fashioned set (obviously), the 2012 version is markedly different from Lady Gaga’s meat dress as we originally knew it. With a tighter fit, plunging neckline and skirt-like bottom, it’s more compact than the original, which was probably necessary for a live performance. Which meat dress do you prefer, the new version or the first, now enshrined in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame? Check out the Lady Gaga pics below and vote:

Manny Pacquiao on Obama Gay Marriage Stance: An Immoral Abomination

Boxing champion Manny Pacquiao is pointedly criticizing President Barack Obama’s recent endorsement of gay marriage , calling it offensive to his religion. In an interview, the religious Pacquiao said that Obama’s view was nothing more than a direct attack on the morals of society and the will of God. “God only expects man and woman to be together and to be legally married, only if they so are in love with each other,” Manny Pacquiao said . “It should not be of the same sex so as to adulterate the altar of matrimony, like in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah of old,” he added, citing the Bible. He described same-sex marriage as an “abomination” and went on to say that America should be the model of morality for other countries to emulate. Recently voted Forbes ‘ fourth most influential athlete, the World Boxing Organization welterweight champion is regarded by many as the best pound-for-pound boxer on the planet, and already has a burgeoning career out of the ring. He is a member of the Philippines legislature, hosts a weekly TV game show and has his own vegetable business. Manny Pacquiao also hopes to become a leading Christian evangelist after having a religious “awakening.” Last week, Obama became the first U.S. president to publicly back gay marriage. Many politicians, pundits and stars have weighed in – Jay-Z praised Obama Monday, while Bristol Palin ripped him last week – but members of the sporting community have been largely silent until Pacquiao’s condemnation. REVIEW: Saoirse Ronan is Nifty New Action Heroine in Hanna

Who would ever have thought that Robert Ludlum would have become the father of modern action cinema? The ruthless 2002 film adaptation of his novel The Bourne Identity — with the hero trying to figure who or what he (or she is), while amassing a body count that warrants coverage on CNN — is now the genre standard, and in this year alone, we’ve seen a number of variations on that theme. The most recent is director Joe Wright’s efficient and soulful Hanna , in which the title character (played by Saorise Ronan), a pale-skinned teenager with matching sandalwood hair and eyebrows, has mastered the art of contained chaos.

Johnny Depp Says There’s A Little ‘Rango’ In All Of Us

‘We find ourselves in certain situations that you have to adapt to,’ Depp tells MTV News of his cartoon chameleon. By Kara Warner Rango, voiced by Johnny Depp, in “Rango” Photo: Paramount Johnny Depp is one of those actors who disappear so fully into the characters he plays onscreen that with each new film, it’s hard to know what to expect from the Oscar nominee. Depp’s latest, the animated pic “Rango,” is no exception. In the film — directed by Depp’s “Pirates of the Caribbean” director Gore Verbinski and featuring the vocal talents of Abigail Breslin, Isla Fischer and Bill Nighy — Depp plays the title character, a chameleon living a lonely life in a cage as a family pet. But Rango is also an aspiring actor so he stages elaborate plays within the confines of his little glass home. He suddenly finds his life turned upside down when his cage is accidentally thrown out of his owners’ car during a cross-country move, landing him in the strange town of Dirt in the Nevada desert. MTV News caught up with Depp and we asked him if, given his chameleon-like abilities as an actor, he felt a sense of kinship with the little green reptile, and whether Rango is perhaps the closest he’s come to playing himself. “What I saw early on with the character, and something that Gore and I talked about, is that it is in sort of all of us, in a way,” Depp explained. “There is a chameleonic side to all of us in which we find ourselves in certain situations that you have to adapt to, sitting across from personalities that you have to adapt to in order to survive the moment or survive the day,” he said. “That’s kind of how I saw Rango.” Who’s your favorite Johnny Depp character? Tell us in the comments! Check out everything we’ve got on “Rango.” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com .

Len Lesser, ‘Seinfeld’ Actor, Dies At 88

Actor who played Uncle Leo was also on ‘Everybody Loves Raymond.’ By Terri Schwartz Len Lesser in 2001 Photo: Jason Kirk/ Getty Images Actor Len Lesser, best known for his “Seinfeld” role as good-natured, cantankerous Uncle Leo, passed away Wednesday morning in Burbank, California, from cancer-related pneumonia. He was 88. Reuters reported that Lesser was admitted to a rehabilitation center near his home several weeks ago. His family said he died in his sleep after breakfast and told CNN that his passing was “very peaceful.” “Heaven got a great comedian and actor today,” daughter Michele Lesser told the New York Daily News . “The outpouring of sympathy we’ve already received has been amazing and is so greatly appreciated. Thank you to all the people who helped make my father’s last journey special and surrounded with love.” The veteran actor appeared in only 15 episodes of “Seinfeld,” but made a memorable mark as the cheapskate uncle best known for saying “Jerry! Hello!” whenever he saw his nephew. Lesser also had a running appearance on “Everybody Loves Raymond” as Garvin, a friend of Raymond’s father who always lifted his arms in excitement when he saw the title character in a reference back to his stint on “Seinfeld.” In addition to his long television career as a bit actor, Lesser also served in the army during World War II and worked in film alongside Hollywood heavyweights like Clint Eastwood, Steve McQueen, Lee Marvin, Dustin Hoffman, Barbara Streisand and Donald Sutherland. His last role was as a neighbor in a 2009 episode of ABC’s “Castle.” Lesser is survived by two children, Michele and David, and three grandchildren.

Josh Hutcherson: ‘Everybody Has Roles They Wanted and Didn’t Get’

What a difference a few months make. When we profiled Josh Hutcherson in The Verge last August , he was a promising young actor in two low-profile films that failed to do much business. This year, though, his career has taken off with a bang: not only was he heavily considered to play the title character in the reboot of Spider-Man , but the 17-year-old has supplanted Brendan Fraser as the star of their franchise, Journey to the Center of the Earth . And then there’s Lisa Cholodenko’s The Kids Are All Right : as Laser, the young son who spurs his mothers (Annette Bening and Julianne Moore) to meet the sperm donor who fathered him, Hutcherson turns in a winning performance in one of the best films of the year. Last month, I sat down with the up-and-comer to discuss how shocked he was that people found Kids to be a comedy, what exactly is going on with the troubled remake of Red Dawn , and how he feels when he loses out on a major role (in what turned out to be a prescient conversation).
