Diversity Is The Main Star of Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Fourth Phase of Films

But that wasn’t the only news announced at San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend about Marvel fans can expect in the next phase of MCU films. When Phase 4 officially kicks off next year, fans can look forward to the most diverse and craziest one yet. The upcoming slate of Disney+ shows and films features the first Asian superhero, the first LGBTQ superhero and plenty of girl power this time around. Marvel Studio’s head Kevin Feige confirmed all the fantastic news during the 90-minute presentation on Saturday (July 20). Marvel fans will remember that Sir Ben Kingsley played a fake version of the supervillain in Iron Man 3 much to their dismay. Awkwafina was also announced as a member of the film’s cast in a yet-to-be-revealed role. This time around, she won’t be a damsel in distress but instead, become the new God of Thunder and Lightning. Taika Waititi ( Thor: Ragnarok ) returns to direct Thor: Love and Thunder. The upcoming sequel also boasts the first LGBTQ superhero with Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie looking for Queen to rule by her side. Of course, we can’t forget Falcon and The Winter Soldier , Loki , Hawkeye and the animated series What If? all coming to Disney+. Plus Feige also hinted at the arrival of the recently acquired Fox properties The Fantastic Four and X-Men finally finding their way into the MCU. For well over a year, reports of a feud between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton have dominated tabloid headlines. The Dueling Duchesses, as they were dubbed by the British media simply couldn’t seem to get along, or even pretend to get along enough to fool the public. This was not, royal “insiders” insisted, a case of the press creating a false catfight narrative out of whole cloth, simply because that’s always what the press does with powerful women. No, this was a case of two of the most influential women in the world clashing so brutally that they were unable to hide their bad blood from London royal-watchers. And for a while there, it seemed the press was really on to something here. Meghan and Kate did not seem to like each other, as evidenced by their coolness toward one another in public, as well as Meghan and Harry’s decision to move out of Kensington Palace , the home they once shared with Will and Kate. But as new information about the spat became public knowledge, a very different narrative began to take shape. Insiders claimed that it was William and Harry who were feuding , not Meg and Kate. And recent photos and footage of Kate and Meghan enjoying each other’s company at Wimbledon seem to serve as evidence that the duchesses do not dislike each other at all. So did they really keep their distance and go to such great pains to disentangle their lives simply because their husbands couldn’t get along? Well, not quite … According to a new report from The Sun , the rumors are true, and Meghan has had a hard time gaining acceptance with several members of the royal family, including pseudo-royals like Kate’s sister, Pippa Middleton. Pippa has no royal title, and officially, she has little to no clout within the Windsor clan. Unofficially, however, Pippa is surprisingly influential as a woman who’s very well-liked in a number of important social circles. And apparently, she and Meghan had to work hard to get to a point where they could peacefully co-exist: “On paper, Pippa and Meghan seem like a match made in heaven, as they are both good cooks, enjoy exercise and are wealthy mums with small baby sons,” an insider tells the tabloid. “Reality check is she is never going to be more than an American duchess married to Prince Harry who was hurtful to Pippa’s sister and who wants to rewrite the rules for the monarchy in the 21st century,” the insider adds. Yes, it seems Meg is still viewed as somewhat of a threat, due to her Americanness and her progressive views. And as much as they may not like each other, it seems Pippa is best at keeping the Duchess of Sussex in check: “Pippa is way too savvy to fall for all of that. Pippa will be more than capable of dealing with Meghan,” the source continues. “She is a seasoned old Marlburian brought up with good manners, clever and tough enough not to let light in on her sisterly frustrations with the Duchess of Sussex, particularly over the treatment Meghan meted out to Kate. “Meghan realises just what a close-knit family these girls come from, the support from parents Michael and Carol is unwavering.” Yes, it seems Pippa is still not happy with the way Meghan behaved toward Kate at some point (even though Kate seems to be over it). As a result, Pip seems to function in a sort of attack dog capacity, willing — if need to be — to do and say the things Kate can’t. “Pippa has a long memory say Edinburgh Uni chums. She has a rather hands-off relationship with Meghan and her overriding loyalty is to her sister,” the informant adds. “At the end of the day, there is a cordial friendship but an enduring closeness between Pippa and Meghan is never going to happen,” says the source. “Pippa will not be seen encouraging Meghan to pop by her Chelsea house, though visits have been made with Harry in tow.” We’re just gonna go ahead and assume that not encouraging someone to pop by your house in Chelsea is, like, the ultimate diss among UK socialites. Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club Reportedly Vandalized, Staff On High Alert

Source: Randy Shropshire / Getty Authorities Investigating Vandalization At Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club Jay-Z’s 40/40 staff is on high alert after the club’s front door was vandalized in a possible attempted break-in, TMZ reports. While surveillance footage shows two men hanging around the venue “all week,” authorities don’t feel there’s enough evidence to treat them as suspects. “Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … NYPD took a criminal mischief report over the weekend after the club’s staff called cops and reported someone had jacked up their front door, in what the staff believed to be an attempted break-in,” TMZ states. “ We’re told cops were shown photos of the damaged door, which looked like someone chipped away at it with some sort of instrument. However, officers noted the door had since been fixed.” See a photo of the door here . After reviewing surveillance footage, there wasn’t any clear evidence of a crime being committed, but according to the site, authorities are still going to investigate. Based on what the staff have seen on their OWN cameras, they reportedly feel “strongly” that someone was, in fact, trying to break in to the venue. We’re told the club is in possession of footage that shows two suspicious men hanging out in front of the building Friday afternoon, where one of them appears to come to the door in question … according to the staff who reviewed it, anyway. The alarm didn’t go off. Our 40/40 sources also say that upon further review of more surveillance video, the staff noticed these two guys had been hanging around the club all week, with suspicious vehicles driving by around the same times as well. We’re told the club feels they were staking the place out. Now, it should be pointed out that the two men of concern are NOT suspects in the probe yet, as police didn’t feel there was enough there to list them as such. TMZ goes on to say that the staff is in a “state of worry” and have had “round-the-clock security since Friday because of it.”

Last night (July 20) in Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Studio’s chief, Kevin Feige made dreams come true. While announcing the MCU’s 4th Phase which will be — the most inclusive, diverse and outright craziest one yet,— he announced Blade is coming back. BUT, he also revealed to the surprise of the crowd, 2-time Academy Award-winning actor Mahershala Ali will be wielding the vampire hunter’s legendary sword. This time around, Jane Foster won’t just serve as the Lord of Thunder’s love interest but will be wielding the mighty hammer, Mjolnir and will become Thor. Another groundbreaking moment in the film will be Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) becoming Marvel’s first LGBTQ superhero. In the upcoming movie, she will be looking for her queen in the sequel. The next Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) movie will see the master of magic and martial arts team-up with Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen). In the film which is interestingly described as Marvel’s first horror film, Strange will explore the Multiverse first hinted at in Spider-Man: Far From Home . The film will directly follow the events of the Disney+ series WandaVision. The original show will see the return of the Bruce Banner and Tony Stark’s (RIP) creation Vision, who was killed by Thanos in Infinity War . Feige before closing things out also revealed that the Fantastic Four and The X-Men are on the way. He dropped the surprise announcement stating he didn’t have enough time to squeeze them in. Kima From ‘The Wire’ aka Actress Sonja Sohn Arrested For Cocaine Possession

Source: Steven Ferdman / Getty Actress Sonja Sohn aka Detective Kima Greggs from HBO’s The Wire and more recently Showtime’s The Chi  was arrested for cocaine possession, amongst other drugs. She got pinched on Sunday morning (July 21) at around 2am in North Carolina. According to TMZ , Sohn was arrested for cocaine possession, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The booger sugar charge is a felony while the rest are misdemeanors. Details are scarce beyond her arrest at 2 am, and she bailed out 6 minutes later. She posted her $1500 bail and is due back in court for her arraignment on Tuesday (July 23). Life comes at you fast. Sohn left The Chi after its first season.

Amy Duggar Baby Name: REVEALED!

KABOOM! Weeks ahead of her forecasted delivery date, Amy Duggar has dropped yet another baby bombshell on Duggar Nation. While this popular family breaks one giant piece of pregnancy news after another, Amy and husband Dillon have made it clear they’re just too anxious and excited to keep one juicy tidbit about their impending child a secret. They simply had to come out this weekend and make the reveal. They had to alert all followers to their son’s first and middle name! “Baby K has a name!!!” Amy wrote as a caption yesterday to the following image, adding: Baby Dax we cannot wait to meet you!! You already bring so much joy into our lives!! We love you so much Daxton Ryan! So there you have it: Daxton. But it sounds like the young man will go by the nickname Dax. Amy has entered her third trimester and is clearly trying to make the most out of her pregnancy. She waited all the way until the age of 32 to start her family — which is perfectly “normal” and would not be noteworthy at all if she were a member of any other family. As a native Duggar, however, she might as well be 92, you know? She’s downright ancient when compared to the ages at which other loved ones have first gotten pregnant. Amy and Dillon got married in Arkansas in of 2015 and announced they were expecting their this past April, initially sharing the news with People Magazine. Gabe Brown and Raquell Rose: Expecting First Child!

Alaskan Bush People is about to add yet another person to its family. Another very small person, that is, at least initially. Gabe Brown and wife Raquell Rose have announced that they’re expecting their first-ever child, breaking this very exciting piece of news to People Magazine via the statement below. We’re so thrilled to share we’re expecting a new addition to our family this November. God has blessed us in so many ways and we can’t wait to meet our little one this fall. The couple did not reveal the gender of its impending little one, but did specify that he or she is due on November 10. Brown’s famous younger sister, Rain, couldn’t help but also make her feelings known, telling this same publication of her brother, her sister-in-law and her future niece or nephew: “Gabe and Raquell are both adventurous, kind souls and I know they will be amazing parents.” We learned late last year that Gabe and Raquel were engaged . They then went ahead and actually got married in January in the state of Washington. This joyous and exciting pregnancy confirmation, however, comes just over a month after the parents-to-be exchanged vows for the second time in an intimate ceremony with friends and family in June. They did so on the five-month anniversary of their first nuptials. Gabriel and Raquell’s baby will be the newest member of this famous and beloved family after Noah Brown and his wife Alisha welcomed their son Elijah Connor Brown back in February. Every single time Farrah opens her big ol’ mouth and speaks, it’s just a magical experience, isn’t it? And by “magical,” of course we mean “painfully, unimaginably dumb.” Though, to be fair, the way Farrah is able to twist reality and the English language really could be considered magical. After all, do you know anyone else who who’s capable of mixing up such impressive word salads? Anyway, Farrah is ridiculous, forever and always, and we all know it. But lately, things have been a bit different for her. She’s been out of Teen Mom OG for a good long while now, and since then, she’s kind of been floating in the wind, right? She did a stint on that MTV dating show, she does appearances now and then, and she’s been very active on social media. There have also been a few more adult ventures — remember when she tried to be a sex therapist on her camgirl site ? However, many, many people think she’s been working as a high class escort . The rumor has been floating around for a few years now, but in the past few months, it’s really picked up. The theory is that being a prostitute is how she manages to do so much traveling and to stay in such expensive resorts , and also how she pays for all the work she’s been getting. Like, we know it’s not her keen business sense that’s paying the bills. And let’s not forget that she’s been in legal trouble a few times in the past year. She owes people a whole lot of money. The prostitute theory has been supported by statements from two of Farrah’s former friends, Myla Sinanaj and Phoebe Price, as well as from her own mother. Just last month, someone asked Debra on Instagram how she felt about Farrah working as an escort, and she responded by saying that “God gave each of us free will.” Lots of sites have been reporting on all of this, and lots of people have been discussing it. Enough that when Farrah and Sophia were spotted at LAX and approached by paparazzi, she addressed it. “People always feed the need to drag hard working people down and wreck their families,” Farrah complained. She called those people “idiots and liars and haters.” She also spotted the opportunity to throw an insult at Jenelle Evans, who also accused her of being a prostitute earlier this month. “She definitely has been making poor choices,” Farrah said of Jenelle, apparently linking her to the “idiots and liars and haters” she discussed just before. “I’m just reacting to the facts,” she added. “She lost custody of her kids … that’s not a positive thing to even have on TV.” A feud between Farrah and Jenelle is just pointless, because they’re both awful and we can’t even root for either of them. Instead of focusing on that part, let’s move right ahead to the past where Sophia also spoke with paparazzi, OK? Sophia, totally of her own free will, spoke about her mother, saying “She’s always positive, she always makes me happy when I’m sad.” “And when we go through things like this type of stuff, everything just turns out fine and haters back off.” She also said “Our most mother daughter thing is vacations and travelling, and we really just have a lot of cute moments together.” As for those haters, had a little message for them: “I hope you get karma later in life.
