Lil Wayne’s ‘I’m Single’: Meet The Women In The Video

Tammy Torres and Mizz Na’Tasha play Weezy’s mistress and wife, respectively. By Shaheem Reid Tammy Torres in Lil Wayne’s “I’m Single” Photo: Nino Brown Now that Lil Wayne’s “I’m Single” video has premiered, people are curious about beauties in the clip vying for his affection. Playing the part of the mistress is model Tammy Torres. Torres, an alum of XXL ‘s Eye Candy section, has also appeared in other magazines, such as Smooth. She’s also appeared in other music videos, but her most popular cameo also comes courtesy of Mr. Weezy via his “Mrs. Officer” clip. Playing the part of Weezy’s wifey in the video is the woman the Twitter nation knows as Mizz Na’Tasha — however, Natasha Salimi said “I’m Single” is her curtain call. She’s retiring from the modeling game and focusing on going to school to study entertainment law. “I used to model. I been in Smooth magazine. My last cover is out right now. I’m in AsIs magazine. I was in ‘Notorious’ the movie. I was in Busta Rhymes’ video for ‘Arab Money.’ But I also work on Wall Street and I go to school. That’s my main focus now. The modeling is cool. … You gotta have a backup plan.” Na’Tasha told us “I’m Single” is actually her favorite record off of the No Ceilings mixtape, and she had a blast going psycho in the clip. “It was fun because I got to act a little crazy, stabbing the cake and throwing stuff,” she said. “Scoob was telling me to try and act as natural as possible and think about if I had something like that that happened in the past,” she explained. ” ‘Let it happen on its own.’ I tried to really put myself in the position of the role I was playing. Everything was laid-back, it was cool. Scoob is a great director. It went by quick. We came up with it as we were acting. I was like, ‘Wait, why don’t I act like I’m stabbing the poster then stab the cake?’ ” Related Artists Lil Wayne

Pam Grier is Latest to Join Tom Hanks’s Star-Studded Larry Crowne

Add another head shot to the illustrious wall of fame set to appear in Tom Hanks upcoming writing-directing-acting effort Larry Crowne : Pam Grier tweeted today that Hanks recruited her for the role of Julia Roberts’s BFF in the mid-life crisis drama. Adrianne Curry’s Nerdy Superhero Boobs

I’m beginning to think that Adrianne Curry is a very lonely person with WAY too much time on her hands. She’s also a bit of a nerd if you ask me. Here she is posting more pictures of herself on the Twitter wearing retarded nerd superhero costumes and giving all her fans the finger. I don’t know what to tell you, at least in her futuristic Raggedy Anne costume her boobs look pretty good. I guess that’s something. Enjoy.

Demi Moore Brings the Quote of the Day

The secret to looking young. “I don’t know if there is any particular secret, but there is one thing that I’ve thought of recently. I think that laughter and smiling are one of the best antidotes to aging that you could possibly have. I think that, in general, I pretty much think of myself as still being, like, five. Maybe that’s why my Twitter picture is of me at five. That’s how I feel. I’m just still trying to figure it all out myself.” … says Demi in Parade Magazine. © Versus for Skinny VS Curvy , 2010. | Permalink | No comment No tags for this post. Wiz Khalifa’s Kush And Orange Juice Hits Big On The Internet

MC’s latest mixtape remains a trending topic on Twitter. By Steven Roberts Wiz Khalifa Photo: MTV News Wiz Khalifa is winning right now. Khalifa released his newest mixtape Kush and Orange Juice via his Twitter page on Wednesday (April 14) and the Internet paid attention. Twitter’s list of trending topics included #KushandOrangeJuice and the amount of fans searching for the mixtape also put it on the list of Google trends. Hype for the mixtape actually started to build Tuesday night on Twitter, when Khalfia tweeted to his fans, “Yo Taylors, #Kushandorangejuice drops tomorrow for ur waken & baken pleasures.” He teased about the mixtape for most of the night and once it was released Wednesday morning, a frenzy followed. The mixtape’s cover pays homage to David Ruffin’s 1980 Gentleman Ruffin album, and the tape features various samples as well as Khalifa rapping over Loose Ends’ “Hangin’ on a String” on “The Kid Frankie.” This seems to be another step in the right direction for Wiz Khalifa, whose popularity has skyrocketed since he left his label Warner Bros. in July 2009. He has since released three well-received mixtapes, Burn After Rolling, How High (a collaborative effort with Curren$y) and Kush and Orange Juice, as well as an indepedent album, Deal or No Deal. He’s also seen his fanbase grow on Twitter and was featured as one of XXL ‘s 2010 Freshmen 10 . When MTV News caught up Khalifa at the Freshmen 10 photo shoot , Khalifa attributed his success to hard work — and his fans. “Just staying in the studio, always working, always putting out mixtapes, material for people to listen to, capitalizing off of whatever I do. If something does well, you got to keep going after that. You can’t get comfortable after that and think that’s it. So just constantly working and reinventing myself, making smart moves — and having great fans.” Have you heard Wiz Khalifa’s latest mixtape? Let us know what you think in the comments below!

The Romeo and Juliet Twitter Version

The Royal Shakespeare Company began its latest production Such Tweet Sorrow , a 21st century remake of the classical play Romeo and Juliet . It will happen entirely on Twitter, since almost everybody uses Twitter, the company thought of setting up a trend to continue entertaining the people with such publicity. As the artistic director of the Royal Shakespeare Company told the BBC, “Mobile phones don’t need to be the antichrist for theater.” Characters like @julietcap16 and @LaurenceFriar have been posting their musings on daily life. Under the eyes of a director and some team of writers Juliet Capulet writes statuses like: “@Tybalt_Cap HEY! Shut it! It’s not our fault your [sic] in so much trouble! You have noone to blame but yourself!.” And @LaurenceFriar goes on about his murky past: “Perhaps I shouldn’t have told them about my role in the legalize cannabis campaign? hmm. There’s something meditative about skinning up.” It sounds weird but most of the Twitter users are enjoying these fictional activities. Some private citizens such as Helen Klein Ross, a New York-based advertiser who has written the Betty Draper Twitter feed since 2008, said that it’s the love for marketing that inspired her to create such page. Some popular shows like Glee, 24 and even some of the Stepehn King novels are venturing on the Twittervers. All in all, the blurbs from fictional characters on Twitter are hit or miss.
