Oh, the irony. Just a couple days ago, Joanna Krupa complained that she isn’t getting enough sex from her fiance. Now, The Real Housewives of Miami star stands accused of selling her body for sex! According to TMZ, Krupa’s attorney has sent a letter to Nik Richie of TheDirty.com in response to that site’s accusatory article, the headline for which reads: Joanna Krupa Is a Confirmed Hooker . Said confirmation is the word of an anonymous man who claims to have paid $10,000 through an escort agency to get it on with the gorgeous model. In the letter, Krupa refers to the allegation as an “an extremely serious matter” and is threatening to file a lawsuit against Richie doesn’t remove the article. We hear he isn’t planning to do so, however.
L.A. Clippers star Matt Barnes is apologizing for calling the police officer who arrested him a fa**ot and a pu**y, among other things, after their exchange spread virally on video. Matt Barnes Arrest Video Matt Barnes said: “I would like to apologize for the unfortunate language I used. I know that certain words are extremely hurtful. I meant absolutely no disrespect to anyone.” “This comment, spoken in the heat of a difficult moment, does not accurately reflect my actual point of view. I hope that all offended parties can accept my sincerest apologies.” Barnes clearly had an ongoing beef with the cop . The same officer stopped the NBA player twice before and waited nearly 2 hours in a Manhattan Beach, Calif., parking lot last July for Barnes to leave a restaurant. There, he was arrested for driving on a suspended license and resisting arrest. Barnes eventually pleaded no contest to misdemeanor interfering with a cop and driving while not in possession of a license. He got off with a fine and informal probation.
Tameka Foster spoke out on her son’s death and the current custody court hearings for the first time today. To begin, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the countless number of people who opened their hearts, extended their prayers, well-wishes and remained hopeful for my son Kile during the last weeks of his life. I truly believe that he has always been an Angel from birth and the World was just too small to contain a spirit so vast. I’m thankful and blessed to merely be the vessel that carried him and humbled that God gave him to us to love. Sadly, I remain in the unfortunate position of having to respond to and attend court proceedings that were not initiated or begun by me. I did not file this custody case (January 2011) and was content with the ‘joint custody’ arrangement that we share. Most importantly, nor do I wish to appear in court while I am mourning the loss of my son. But I do not want to delay thus prolong these proceedings either; I’d rather continue this arduous process hoping it will help move me through this most difficult period in my life. People seem to be privy to only my filed responses as ‘Defendant’ to the initiation of this case (Jan 4, 2011), when I have only been defending myself and protecting the best interests of my children through my counsel. I cannot control how the media reports are written/slanted/spun or even how court documents may be manipulated in their attribution of certain statements as if they are direct “quotes” from me- yet I can control what I actually say myself. This may sound really cliché but you must NOT believe everything you read or hear and never judge… especially without solid facts and always, but always consider the source. Discernment is key. My boys are my entire world and I will fight tooth and nail to keep all of my sons together as a family, I pray for a swift, peaceful resolution so that we all can move forward. Again, thank you for your concern, positive energy and hope for my family during this surreal time. Greece’s triple-jump champion has actually been removed from her country’s national team just days prior to the Opening Ceremony in London because she posted the following Tweet on July 22: “With so many Africans in Greece .. At least the mosquitoes of West Nile .. will eat homemade food!” With backlash building and rebuke of this tasteless joke strong, Greece has announced that Papachristou will not compete at the Games due to “statements contrary to the values and ideas of the Olympic movement.” She has since issued her own statement/apology: I would like to express my heartfelt apologies for the unfortunate and tasteless joke I published on my personal Twitter account. I am very sorry and ashamed for the negative responses I triggered, since I never wanted to offend anyone, or to encroach human rights. My dream is connected to the Olympic Games and I could not possibly participate if I did not respect their values. Therefore, I could never believe in discrimination between human beings and races. I would like to apologize to all my friends and fellow athletes, who I may have insulted or shamed, the National Team, as well as the people and companies who support my athletic career. 72-Year-Old Voiceover Actor Fired From PBS After Being Arrested For Lewd Acts Fred Willard is learning the hard way that you can’t just willy nilly pull your willy out in public… Within hours of news that Fred Willard was arrested for lewd behavior in an adult movie theater, he lost a television job. The comic actor, 72, was dropped Thursday from his voice-over gig on PBS’s Antiques Roadshow spinoff, Market Warriors. “Given the unfortunate news reported today, effective immediately, Fred Willard no longer will be involved with the Market Warriors series,” Jeanne Hopkins, a rep for WGBH, the Boston public broadcaster that produces the show, said in a statement. Willard’s duties on the program will be taken over by Mark Walberg, host of the show. Damn, son got fired from doing VOICEOVERS? Is it really that serious? Willard has denied the allegations via his attorney : “With all due respect to the individual officer,” attorney Paul Takakjian tells TMZ , “our belief is that Fred did nothing in any violation of any law. Kiowa Gordon’s leaked pics might seem standard for young Hollywood, but ‘Twilight’ Tuesday notes that the cast has largely avoided scandal. By Kara Warner Kiowa Gordon Photo: Jason LaVeris/ Getty Images With all the glitz and glamour associated with being a young celebrity in Hollywood, it’s hard to imagine there are any cons to fame and fortune. It’s safe to say that one of the more precarious aspects of being universally recognized is the fact that any time a celebrity does anything worth a tweet, photograph or snarky comment, they have the potential to generate many a headline. The amount of news coverage a star commands depends, of course, on the level of public interest, for which the minute details in the lives of Justin Bieber, Kim Kardashian and the “Twilight” cast are of great importance. A lot of the newer stars find out about their headline-generating factor the hard way, as has been the case with Kiowa Gordon and a batch of private photos that were posted to a pornographic website. Never mind the unfortunate circumstances surrounding the incident; by all appearances, Gordon is doing his best to resolve the matter and move on. The “nude photos discovered” headline is so prevalent in pop culture that it’s almost expected. Speaking of expectations, because there are so many ways in which a young celeb might be photographed doing something naughty — they’re teenagers, for cryin’ out loud! — I think we can all take a moment to appreciate the fact that on the whole, the entire “Twilight” cast has done an excellent job in upholding the ideals associated with their role-model statues. There have been a few leaked photos here and there but no evidence of any kind of truly inappropriate behavior that is often associated with young stars. It really is an amazing feat when you think about how many young actors we’re talking about and how scrutinized they are. When I think about some of the dumb things I did in my teens, I thank my lucky stars that Facebook and Twitter were not around. I can’t even begin to think about how difficult it would be to navigate as a young celebrity. So as much as we love to obsess over our favorite stars, let’s try to not sweat the small stuff and appreciate them for being worthy of our continued admiration. The news about Eddie Murphy hosting the Academy Awards was well-received, but he will no longer be the master of ceremonies of the 2012 Oscars. Murphy made his unfortunate resignation after Brett Ratner, the producer of the annual event, stepped down in disgrace yesterday (November 8th). Since Ratner hired Murphy to host the Academy Awards, some expected Murphy to follow suit. Ratner used a disparaging homosexual slur recently, and resigned from his post after many expressed offense and outrage at his word choice.
