A couple of weeks ago, he claimed that he was assaulted by two men who yelled out racist slurs at him, including making him wear a noose and pouring bleach on him. The case was sort of fishy and has sparked all sorts of debate. As the days went by, the story got more and more bizarre. Now, police have enough suspicion that the whole thing is a lie that they have gone ahead and arrested Smollett this morning. There’s definitely a lot of evidence that Smollett told a lie. Little People, Big World star Amy Roloff is living her best life, but fans continue to demand to know when she'll get engaged to Chris Marek . After her latest romantic getaway with her boyfriend, some of Amy's fans and followers are growing suspicious. Some accuse Chris of being downright creepy. “Costa Pura Vida,” Amy writes on Instagram. “Beautiful country and people.” She and boyfriend Chris Marek went on a stunning romantic vacation for Valentine's Day. “Great R&R time w/ Chris and friends,” Amy writes. “Time to say audios until maybe next time.” “We’re ready to come home,” her caption concludes. “Because there’s no place like ‘home’.” “Chris and I had a great time in Costa Rica,” Amy tells her fans and followers in a thoughtful video. “It was a good R&R,” she shares. “But,” Amy continues. “Like everything else, we're ready to go home.” She explains: “I'm ready to see my grandkids and get back to life.” “And,” she adds. “Figure out Amy Roloff's Little Kitchen.” It is no surprise to longtime followers that Amy found a way to plug her products in the video. “And,” Amy adds. “Continue on with my book. A whole bunch of other stuff.” “Life's back home,” she affirms. “But you can hear the fountain,” Amy notes. “The pool area.” “It's been great,” she gushes. “Costa Rica's been wonderful, and I hope to be back.” “Anyway, back to cold weather,” she says. “Back to normal. Back to reality. And that's a good place to be.” (Not everyone would enjoy tropical weather, but clearly Amy does) Amy's cheerful posts and photos didn't bring a smile to everyone's face, however. Some took aim at Amy's relationship with Chris Marek — and were especially critical of Chris himself. “Didn't buy the cow,” notes one hater. “Gets the milk for free. Shame on you both!” We're still comparing women to livestock and shaming people for not being married? What year is it? “What's his motive?” another demands to know. “Why can't he commit?” “He's creepy,” accuses one commenter. “I wish he'd ask for your hand in marriage,” laments a nosey troll. “I wish he'd surprise you with a ring,” writes another hater, noting that Chris had given her a Valentine's card.” That same commenter continues: “Praying God gives you wisdom regarding the situation. Enjoy!” “Hum no ring,” another observed. Fortunately, Amy did see plenty of much nicer fans leave much more supportive comments. You know, like actual fans. First and foremost, Amy is a grown woman, She and Chris are consenting adults. If someone has a personal religious or non-religious reservation about non-marital sex, that's valid … for them. It's purely their business. Similarly, Amy's romance with Chris is purely her business. She doesn't ever have to marry him or anyone else. Second of all, there are a lot of people who think that Chris is just “using” Amy for fame or somesuch. Even if Amy appeases the people cranky about non-marital “milk,” those people will freak out if she and Chris get hitched. Finally, the suspicious about motives crowd really needs to lay off, because they're being ableist and insulting. They're implying that Chris couldn't just be interested in Amy because she's a beautiful, intelligent woman. Their implication is that because she is a little person, Chris must have some ulterior motive for dating her. That is a sickening, ableist suggestion. Cut it out.

He could be facing charges related to filing a false police report. Right now, detectives are presenting evidence before a grand jury. This comes after surveillance video showed the brothers who allegedly helped Smollett stage the attack buying items TMZ said were used during the incident. Anthony Guglielmi wrote in a tweet: “Case Update: Jussie Smollett is now officially classified as a suspect in a criminal investigation by # ChicagoPolice for filing a false police report (Class 4 felony). As evidence unfolds, the details of the attack seem to make less and less sense to investigators. Today, before a Grand Jury, Chicagp Detectives presented evidence that the “attack” may have been staged. Two Nigerian brothers also thwart Jussie’s story during a police interview, claiming he paid them to attack him. Today, store video of the Nigerian brothers purchasing MAGA hats and ski masks has surfaced. The brothers reportedly told police Jussie asked them to stage the entire attack and this supports their story. CBS Chicago found the footage of them purchasing the item right before they allegedly attacked Jussie. (If the video below fails to play click here .) Source: Noam Galai / Getty White Woman Harasses Black Mother Taking Photos Of Infant Daughter The ex-wife of Houston Astros owner Jim Crane, Franci Neely, was captured in a viral video accosting a Black woman and her husband who were doing a photo shoot to celebrate their 1-year-old daughter’s birthday. Kelyn Alyssa, the girl’s mother, recorded the tense confrontation and uploaded it to Facebook with a lengthy caption explaining what the hell was going on with this crazy white lady. Here’s what husband and father Isaiah Allen told Click2Houston: ‘These were our first professional shots we have taken of the baby since she’s been born. It was something that was supposed to be very special for us, and I hate the fact that, when I look at these pictures, this is what I have to remember. ‘She’s yelling things like, “You’re trampling the grass, that we pay for, you need to leave,’ even though we were on the walkway talking the picture. ‘She said, ‘You’re on private property. You need to get your stuff out now.’ (She was) very aggressive, in our face. It was escalating to the point where my wife suggested I start recording.’ All we have to say about Franci Neely is “FDB!”
This is the kind of easily preventable dumb stuff that should never have gotten as far as it did. Burberry is publicly apologizing after one of its recent pieces of clothing caused a stir — and outrage — over the weekend. At London Fashion Week, they strutted a model out onto the runway with a noose dangling from their neck. Oh no . Content warning : this post continues numerous noose images for reference. Burberry was first called out by one of their own models, Liz Kennedy, who wrote on Instagram: “Suicide is not fashion,” Liz writes. “It is not glamorous nor edgy and since this show is dedicated to the youth expressing their voice, here I go.” “Riccardo Tisci and everyone at Burberry,” she says. “it is beyond me how you could let a look resembling a noose hanging from a neck out on the runway.” “How could anyone overlook this and think it would be okay to do this?” she asks. Liz adds: “Especially in a line dedicated to young girls and youth.” “The impressionable youth,” Liz emphasizes. “Not to mention the rising suicide rates world wide.” “Let’s not forget about the horrifying history of lynching either,” she adds. “There are hundreds of ways to tie a rope,” she notes. “And they chose to tie it like a noose completely ignoring the fact that it was hanging around a neck.” “A massive brand like Burberry who is typically considered commercial and classy should not have overlooked such an obvious resemblance,” she writes. Liz notes that she herself struggled with suicidal ideation as a teen. This was personal for her as it is for so many others. Marco Gobbetti issued a public apology. “We are deeply sorry for the distress caused by one of the products that featured in our [Autumn/Winter] 2019 runway collection Tempest,” Gobbetti writes. Notably, all images of that particular garment have been purged from the website. Tisci wrote: “I am so deeply sorry for the distress that has been caused as a result of one of the pieces in my show on Sunday.” “While the design was inspired by a nautical theme, I realize that it was insensitive,” Tisci acknowledges. “It was never my intention to upset anyone,” Tisci concludes. “I will make sure that this does not happen again.” Those experiencing suicidal depression could be hit with overpowering suicidal urges from exposure to certain images. One can think of these triggers like allergies . Harmless to most of us, but deadly to some. But, as Liz acknowledges, the noose is perhaps first and foremost evocative of lynching. Thousands of black Americans died by lynching in the United States. As you can see from the couple of sample headlines we have icnluded, the noose has become a symbol of intimidation and hate. Lynchings are a horrifying part of America's past — and the imagery persists because racism persists. The noose has been used to intimidate black people at work, on school campuses, and at their homes. We have all seen footage in which effigies of President Obama lynched were waved about during protests. No one genuinely believes that Burberry was trying to subtly intimidate or harass black audience members with their clothing line. But this kind of mistake should not still be happening in 2019. We cannot afford to be thoughtless. Short of a swastika, just about the worst symbol to wear around your neck is a noose.
Farrah Abraham loves to post on social media with her daughter. She really loves to talk about her daughter and pose her daughter in various ways and really garner as much attention as she can through her daughter. But does she actually love her daughter? While out celebrating little Sophia's entire birthday month (the little girl turns 10 on February 23), Abraham addressed her status as a single mother, remarked on whether this will ever change and said a lot of other stuff about parenting. She has her own life and is doing her own thing, and I’m doing mine.” 5. Or How She Posed Sophia for Professional Modeling Photos Even if Sophia was all about this at the time, it’s a mother’s job to know what’s best and to say no to certain things. 6.
