Woman Who Blamed Acid Attack On A Black Woman Apologizes

Back in September, Bethany Storro- a woman from Washington was “attacked” with acid by an African American woman, or so she claims. It turns out that the story was a hoax, and that Bethany actually splashed acid on her own face, causing severe burns and hospitalization. The truth came out when Bethany was under serious questioning by detectives and police noticed the differences in her story each time she told it. She finally broke down and confessed that she splashed herself with acid and blamed it on an African American woman. Now, Bethany has taken a plea deal for making false statements to the police. She now must log 240 hours of community service and pay $4,000 worth of overtime to the detectives. During sentencing, Bethany apologized to the people of her community, and especially the African American community, for blaming the incident on a black woman without reason. SMH. Weekend Receipts: Hop’s On Top Again, Your Highness Has A Schwaggy Sixth Place Debut

The Bunny reigned supreme again as Hop grabbed the top spot for a second weekend, but at the expense of Russell Brand’s other comedy, Arthur , which could only muster a distant second place finish. In fact, when final number come rolling in tomorrow, it may be beaten out by Hanna , which notched a very close third place, followed by inspirational stump film Soul Surfer . And poor Your Highness came in at 6th, proving perhaps that a little Danny McBride goes a long way. Your weekend receipts are here.

This weekend, Helen Mirren, at the age of 65, will become the ninth oldest host in the history of Saturday Night Live . And while the young and spry are terrific for a variety of reasons, let’s not forget that some of the greatest moments in SNL history have come from some of its more seasoned hosts — including one 80-year-old unknown who resulted from a write-in campaign. (Yes, this happened.)

I really didn’t expect to be seeing anything sexy at the Kid’s Choice Awards , I think that’s a fair assumption, but I was happy to see that hottie Victoria Justice was invited. The chick is just hot. Do they have an Adult Male Awards ? Because that would make more sense to me, kids don’t know what the hell’s going on. You can’t rely on them to make an informed decision when it comes to this kind of thing, they’ll vote for candy canes and apple jacks. Useless.
