‘Iron Man’ Came Out 11 Years Ago And It’s Got Everyone’s Feeling A Lot Of Emotions

Here is the original post:

Source: Frazer Harrison / Getty *SPOILER ALERT* If you still haven’t seen Avengers: End Game and have somehow managed to not see any spoilers until now, back away from the computer. Seriously, there’s gonna be a major spoiler in the first sentence of this article–don’t say I didn’t warn you. Let’s cut right to the chase: we all cried when Iron Man died at the end of Avengers: End Game . And if you didn’t, you definitely heard a few sniffles in your theater from the people who did. The death of the man who kicked off the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe is devastating enough on its own, but it’s been made even more emotional for fans as they remember today, May 2, is the 11 year anniversary of Iron Man’s release. Eleven years ago today, he became Iron Man. #TodayInMarvelHistory #Marvel80 pic.twitter.com/ddhtVe6Xoh — Marvel Entertainment (@Marvel) May 2, 2019 If you’re one of the diehard Marvel fans whose been paying attention to the actors from the film on social media, you already know it’s impossible to stumble upon a post without seeing at least a few “I love you 3,000” comments. What was an absolutely adorable line at the beginning of the film was made tragic when Tony Stark’s hologram uttered that same line to his daughter following his death. Now, as we remember where it all started over a decade ago, everything is 3000 times more sad. With all of the sorrow surrounding the ending of the 3rd phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, one thing we can all take solace in is the fact that we aren’t suffering alone. With all the box office records End Game is breaking, it really seems like those who aren’t mourning the death of our beloved Iron Man are the ones who are alone. With that being said, it’s only right we celebrate the 11 year anniversary of Iron Man by looking at some of the most devastating tweets about Tony Stark and his meaningful MCU ending. Here’s what people are saying as they celebrate the anniversary of the film that started it all while simultaneously mourning the death of the Avengers’ patriarch: My mom just told me after my little brother saw End Game he went home and put his Iron Man suit on because he was sad pic.twitter.com/6DEAK4e6Xk — (^з^)-☆ (@mellowthai) May 2, 2019 “seems like a thousand years ago… I fought my way out of that cave, became iron man” pic.twitter.com/VLN20BerCg — mariam ⎊ || spoilers (@verstarks) May 2, 2019 Iron Man is 11 years old today. Meet Tetona Jackson – Star Of BET’s New Series “Boomerang”

Source: WENN.com / WENN Rising Actress Talks Working With Lena Waithe & Halle Berry & More With BOSSIP Tetona Jackson wants you to know her new show, “Boomerang” on BET, isn’t a remake of the 90s cult classic. The new show picks up on where the 1992 movie starring Eddie Murphy, Robin Givens and Halle Berry left off, continuing the story of womanizing ad exec, Marcus (Murphy) and his colorful love life. Jackson stars as Simone Graham – the daughter of Marcus and Angela (Berry) – in the ensemble cast about young black professionals in Atlanta. “It’s such an iconic film, so I thought it was really cool that they were doing an extension of the film and not redoing the film,” Jackson told us by phone from L.A., where she’s now based. “As soon as I read the script and read my character, I instantly fell in love and wanted to be a part of it.” This new iteration of “Boomerang” focuses on a younger cast of characters, but Jackson said the show is filled with references to the original movie and appeals to both millennials and mature audiences alike. Source: Corey Nickols / Getty Another big plus of being on the show was getting to work with both Lena Waithe and Halle Berry, who were executive producers on the project, Jackson said. “Lena was very hands-on with the project,” Jackson explained. “She flew back and forth to Atlanta when we were filming. She’s a boss…To be around her was a lot of fun and a great learning experience.” Berry was away from the set as she filmed John Wick III in London, Jackson said she got to spend time with her at the Television Critics Association. “She has such a great light, a great spirit,” Jackson said. “So down to earth, such a beautiful soul.” Jackson got the entertainment bug at an early age, Her father was a jazz musician, and she was a dancer for many years before transitioning into acting. Besides “Boomerang,” she has appeared on several movie and TV projects over the years, including “Victorious,” and teen dance drama “All Styles,” and the Hulu series “All Night.” The actress said she hopes to return to Atlanta to film a second season of the show. “I’m so excited and blessed to be part of this project and I’m excited to see where it goes,” she said.

This Is Us: Coming to an End!

This Is Us viewers are forced to break out multiple boxes of tissues on a weekly basis. The NBC drama is darn good, but darn sad and sentimental as well. Now, however, due to a bit of shocking news from showrunners Isaac Aptaker and Dan Fogelman, fans of the series are likely to lose their emotional $hit for reasons that have nothing to do with ongoing storylines. This is a long-winded way of saying the following: This Is Us is coming to an end!!!!!! In, like, three years. But still. In a revealing interview with Deadline, Aptaker and Fogelman say pretty clearly that the show will likely wrap up after Season 6. “We’ve got multiple seasons mapped out,” Fogelman tells the outlet of his beloved drama, which is currently in Season 3. “I think this season has been a lot about redemption, but also a lot of rebirth. Next season is a season of new beginnings and restarts.” Fans can expect interweaving timelines to play an even more prominent role in 2019-2020, the producers promise, but they also reveal that the plan all along has been to conclude This Is Us after six seasons. Explains Aptaker: “From day one, Dan came in with his master plan for the big picture stuff of the show and said, ‘I think this is where we end up. I think this is what I know. Let’s figure out the rest together.’ “So all of the writers and the actors really know everything. “We’re all pretty good at keeping secrets by now, it’s been three years, but it’s a total open book for everyone who works on the show, so there are no secrets from each other.” Naturally, of course, NBC may have something to say about this plan. The network renewed This Is Us for two additional seasons during its initial run, making it clear that it saw long-term potential in the stories of Jack, Randall, Kate and company. If the series maintains its popularity, and executies offer Aptaker and Fogelman enough money to stick around, who the heck knows? This Is Us could air 17 seasons in the end. For now, however, arcs and stories are being written with the sixth season end date in mind. And it sounds like the two men in charge know exactly how they want to say goodbye. “I would hope that it’s elegant,” Aptaker told Deadline of the series finale, which he’s already thought about it.” He continued: “That’s what we’re going for. I would hope that when we reach our ending, people think it’s a really satisfying end place, that makes sense, and it feels like they’ve watched something that is a complete piece of work because that’s really how we’re trying to plan it. “Almost like you would a book, or a super-long movie. “We’ve had this end in mind for a long time, so we’re able to plan for it, and try to make it feel like it’s a whole, as opposed to a series that’s going to go endlessly.” This Is Us – which stars, among others, Sterling K. Brown, Justin Hartley, Chrissy Metz, Mandy Moore and Milo Ventimiglia – airs Tuesdays at 9/8 c on NBC. It will definitely make you cry. But it’s pretty fantastic.

Carmen Argenziano Dies; Stargate SG-1 Actor was 75

Carmen Argenziano is a versatile, legendary actor with hundreds of acting roles under his belt. He is best known for his roles on Stargate SG-1 and in The Godfather Part II . On Sunday, Carmen passed away. He was 75 years old. Even Horizon Talent released the sad news about Carmen Argenziano with a deeply personal statement. “It is with a heavy heart and more sadness than anyone can realize right now,” the statement begins. The statement continues: “that I announce the passing of client Carmen Argenziano at the age of 75.” “His acting career began in the early 1970s and included a turn in The Godfather, Part II,” the announcement acknowledges. “Carmen worked steadily over more than 40 years,” the statement notes. “And was a staple character actor on our televisions throughout that time.” The announcement continues: “including on series such as ‘Cheers,’ ‘Melrose Place,’ ‘ER,’ ‘CSI:NY’ and many others.” Carmen did this “while also lending his talents to films both tentpole [expensive major motion picture] and intimate.” “To genre fans,” the statement continues. “He is best known for his role as Jacob Carter/Selmak on the series ‘Stargate SG-1.'” Genre is sometimes used as a euphemism for interesting media such as science fiction and fantasy. It was “a role he relished and recurred in for seven years.” “While Carmen was a client,” the announcement notes. “He was also a good friend.” “While he was a class act and a consummate gentleman at the events he was booked for,” the statement says. “He was also a caring and generous person.” “While I had known him for more than a decade,” the statement reads. It continues: “It wasn’t until the past three years as a representative for him that our trust and friendship grew and blossomed.” “He truly treated me like family,” the announcement affirms. “And that sentiment was returned.” “Please join me in sending thoughts and prayers to Carmen’s family and loved ones during this difficult time,” the statement asks. This heartbreaking announcement confirms: “Godspeed, my friend.” Carmen Argenziano had 227 IMDB credits under his belt. As the statement mentions, Carmen is best known for the twin roles of Jacob Carter and Selmak on Stargate SG-1 , which he played from 1998 to 2005. Portraying two characters sharing a body isn’t easy, but Carmen made the role very natural. He was introduced in Season 2 of the series and remained a returning character. Because Jacob Carter was the father of main character Samantha Carter (played by Amanda Tapping), Carmen appeared in 25 episodes. (That’s more than a season’s worth, and means that he appeared in nearly one out of every eight episodes of the long-running series) Ultimately, his character died in a moving episode, “Threads,” during the show’s eighth season. One often overlooked role of Carmen’s was his appearance on “Knives,” a pivotal episode of the science fiction classic  Babylon 5 . He has also appeared on murdery mysteries and in films, including Angels and Demons . More than once, he was cast to portray a priest, a role that he portrayed with dignity and nuance. Actors and fans alike are still reeling from this news. (Just last Friday, I was watching some of his work and wondering what he’s been up to lately) Our thoughts are with his loved ones at this time.
