BMI Drops Kim Burrell From Gospel Honors Over Anti-Gay Rant

Kim Burrell Cut From BMI Gospel Celebration It’s looking like Kim Burrell isn’t about to be welcomed anywhere but that pulpit where she declared death on homosexuals a few weeks back, because more and more people are distancing themselves from her. After already getting dropped from multiple appearances and even losing her radio show…even more L’s are coming her way. In an official statement, BMI announced that they have formally dropped Kim from their upcoming celebration of gospel, since they are an inclusive organization, and Burrell’s views are clearly not in line with that message… BMI’s Trailblazers of Gospel Music is an annual celebration of gospel music and its many talented songwriters. Given the controversy surrounding this year’s co-honoree Kim Burrell, we have asked her to not take part in the ceremony in order to allow the focus to remain on the songwriters and their music. BMI was founded over 76 years ago with an open door policy to welcome songwriters across all genres, and that same spirit of tolerance, diversity and inclusiveness continues today. WELP. But hey, despite all the backlash, Kim seems set and comfortable with sticking to her statements. We guess holding on to her hateful rhetoric is worth more than those checks to her… Instagram

India Yelich-O’Connor, Lorde’s Younger Sister: The Next Lorde?

India Yelich-O’Connor is the younger sister of Lorde. She’s following in her vocal footsteps too, it appears … possibly creating a new generation of “Royals.” The 17-year-old songbird Lorde (real name Ella Maria Lani Yelich-O’Connor) is all the rage these days, and apparently, musical talent runs in her DNA. India, 15, is generating major buzz with a cover of “Say Something,” the hit song by A Great Big World and Christina Aguilera, which hit the web this week: India Yelich-O’Connor – Say Something The beautiful song featuring The Voice coach and the alternative duo is soft and melodic, which fits perfectly with the young singer’s angelic vocal stylings. India’s rendition is a rough cut, for sure, with flaws in both harmony and recording quality, but her talent shines through, as does the family resemblance. Lorde has not spoken out about her sister’s first cover on social media, but it shouldn’t be long, as it’s already getting plenty of Twitter love from fans. Big sister is up for four Grammys this weekend – Song of the Year for “Royals,” Record of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album, and Best Pop Solo Performance. Think India will join her on the stage before we know it?

Shia LaBeouf goes all out with co-star Stacy Martin in the new teaser trailer for Lars Von Trier’s upcoming sex flick Nymphomaniac. And we mean all out. We are talking about raw sex. Nymphomaniac Teaser Trailer The very NSFW trailer begins with dramatic organ music before LaBeouf is shown thrusting passionately on top of Martin. Both thespians are quite nude. Finally, Shia is shown sticking his tongue deep into Martin’s mouth. In another scene, a man is shown performing oral sex on Martin, who goes full-frontal. Earlier this month, a bevy of Nymphomaniac posters were released featuring the film’s stars – all 14 of them – naked and showing viewers their o-faces. The film is already getting major buzz, and it’s easy to see why. The actors, including LaBeouf, hold nothing back in a graphic movie even by today’s standards. “I have ethics. I’m not completely out of my mind,” the actor, 27, who went naked for a music video last year, has said of going nude on the big screen. “But I don’t think there’s anything wrong with sex. Sex is beautiful if it’s done right. And I wouldn’t just do it for no reason. Sex is different than love.” “There is a separation, and that middle gap is what the movie’s about.” There looks to be a lot of intense bonking in that gap, just FYI. Seriously. This trailer is so sexy that YouTube won’t even air it and we had to embed Vimeo.

Charlie Sheen to Brooke Mueller: You Get SQUAT (and Thank Jon Cryer)!

Charlie Sheen is serious about paying Brooke Mueller zero child support if at all possible, and is evoking the name of a longtime co-star to boost his case. The actor filed legal documents requesting the massive change in child support – $55,000 to $0 – because Brooke doesn’t even have custody of their boys. While she’s in and out of rehab, Bob and Max are living with Sheen’s other ex-wife, Denise Richards, who’s already getting support from him. In court papers, Charlie references Jon Cryer’s divorce , in which his ex-wife was arrested in ’09 for alleged child abuse and temporarily lost custody. Charlie claims Cryer requested his support payments be reduced from $10,000 per month to zero, and the court granted that request, setting a precedent. Sheen also reveals that he earns more than $740,000 a month (before taxes), more than enough to cover $90,000 a month in expenses on all his homes. Also, Charlie says he foots the bill for ALL the kids’ expenses – therapy, medical, schooling, and more – on top of that $55,000, and will continue to do so. His point? I take care of the kids anyway, and Brooke Mueller clearly isn’t using that $55,000 a month to do so, as she doesn’t care for them anyway. A judge has yet to rule.
