“Science” Declared That Beyonce Is The 2nd Most Beautiful Woman In The World; #1 Has People OUTRAGED

Source: Gareth Cattermole / Getty Beyonce Declared 2nd Most Beautiful Woman If there’s one thing we know about Beyonce it’s this: she should never be second place at anything, let alone being called a beautiful woman. Well tell that to the *squints* Golden Ratio of Beauty Phi who used an equation to determine beauty. Beyonce came in second but guess who was first: View this post on Instagram new @michaelkors by miss baby bluesss @zoeygrossman @paulcavaco #michaelkors #ad A post shared by (@bellahadid) on Oct 15, 2019 at 3:13pm PDT Bella Hadid. Colombian Castaways Held On To Cocaine Bales After Shipwreck

Source: SOPA Images / Getty Three smugglers are thanking both the heavens and the infamous coca plant after a harrowing experience. The trio hung on to their product, bales of cocaine, for dear life while waiting for help. Raw Story is reporting that the trio were on route to transport 1.2 tons of cocaine from Tumaco, Colombia . While in the middle of the Pacific sea they were met with very rough waters; so rough that their ship was capsized by a wave. The men did not have a safety raft forcing them to keep afloat while holding onto their bales of the illegal substance. Seven hours later the Colombian coast guard found them about 30 nautical miles from shore. Captain Jorge Maldonado of Colombia’s Task Force Against Drug Trafficking described the scene. “The coastguard arrived and these three people were floating on a material that by its characteristics resembled drugs ” he revealed. While the unidentified males were still in good health they were formally arrested once they arrived on the mainland. The Task Force say that they are still looking for a fourth man who was a part of their crew but has yet to be located. Photo: Getty

Billy Porter’s Protégé Mykal Kilgore Makes R&B Debut With ‘A Man Born Black’

Originally posted here:

Source: Ambe Williams / Ambe Williams Mykal Kilgore has the kind of voice that makes you shout during Sunday service. The tone of it is rich and soulful and with ease, he transitions through rifts and runs making any song he sings a melodic experience; an effortless talent he honed performing in the church choir as a youth. Kilgore gained the confidence to follow his dreams while entertaining a group of classmates, one day, in school. “I would sing with my friends at lunch and one day a group of ‘cool guys’ came over and demanded me to sing them something. I started singing Killing Me Softly and they went crazy,” he explained. He felt “accepted and special.” “I also saw that there was something to singing that makes everybody come together. I wanted to be a part of bringing folks together.” Under the tutelage of Pose star Billy Porter , the Florida native eventually moved to New York where he pursued a career on Broadway ( Motown the Musical ,  The Book of Mormon , Hair). While Mykal thrived on stage, his passion for singing was bursting at the seams. He released his debut R&B album A Man Born Black on September 6. “I wanted to do something audaciously authentic,” says Kilgore. “I didn’t want to release music until I knew I had something clear to say. I’m so secure in my point of view right now.” The 10-track body of work, according to his website, “is an exploration of faith, loss, the stumble and spills on the way to maturity, and the beauty of hope and love.” The freshman debut showcases Kilgore’s songwriting ability while serving as an ode to the classic R&B structure. Produced by Jamison Ross, A Man Born Black embodies sounds from beloved artists like Al Green, Stevie Wonder, Sade and Laila Hathaway. “My hope was that if I could be real about my life and my story through the writing that it would make the song relatable to all people,” he explains. “There are basic things that I want and I use the album to explore these things. I want more love in the world, more respect, more honesty, and more grace.” Kilgore describes A Man Born Black as his “baby.” He laughs when asks what song is his favorite. “You’re making me pick my favorite child?! I think Let Me Go is the song I find myself humming in the shower these days, but maybe by the time I shower tomorrow it’ll be My Heart! I love Let Me Go , because it grows with me everyday. It changes and matures with each listen.” Kilgore set out to give fans an experience that evokes an array of emotions. “ I want fans to feel respected when they listen,’ he says. “I give them my best and that means that the music, the lyrics, the vocals all work together to give an experience that warrants multiple listens, tears, hand claps, toe taps, and their LOVE! I want all of that.” Listen to A Man Born Born Black , here. HAUGHT OR NAUGHT: Are You A Brow Pomade, Brow Powder, Or Brow Pencil Type Of Girl? [POLL]

Continue reading here:

Source: Umehz Charles / EyeEm / Getty When it comes to the topic of shaping our eyebrows, the debate is an ongoing one throughout the beauty community. While some beauty mavens are interested in growing out their brows, some are conditioned to use brow pencils or powders to style their eyebrows during the growth process. Now more than ever, pomades are slowly replacing brow pencils as the popular choice. And it makes sense! Pomades are a great product to create bold brows that we see all over Instagram. Definition is key for many makeup lovers and pomades are a great alternative to execute that look. This formula also comes in handy to give brows a long-lasting hold for all day wear. However, if your a fan of the traditional soft brow look, the right pomade will deliver. Many makeup mavens think that pomades are only for those with sparse brows, but anyone can use this product. To perfect the look, dip an angled short brush into your pomade. Gently tap the brush against the back of your hand to remove excess product. Then, brush on the product starting at the center of your bottom brow for an outline. Follow up with an outline at the top of your brow starting just after your brow begins and connect with the bottom line. Fill in the brow with light strokes and use a spoolie brush to fade the product into the front. A front runner and fan favorite in the Hello Beautiful office is Anastasia Beverly Hills DIPBROW Pomade ($18.00, sephora.com ). It’s long lasting and comes in 11 different shades. On the flip side, brow pencils also come in major clutch! You can create soft, natural looking brows with ease. And if you’re a sucker for a well placed arch, brow pencils will blow your mind. Simply start at the most sparse area of your brows and fill them in with short, feather like strokes. The key to this method is to be light-handed in application and drawing on the strokes in the direction of your hair growth towards the end of your brows. If you’re looking for an affordable brow pencil, try NYX Micro Brow Pencil ($12.00, nyxcosmetics.com ). This is great if you’re just starting with brows, the only downside is that the pencil tends to run out quickly. You also have beauty mavens who can’t resist a good brow powder. Providing a softer effect that other brow products, powders can be worn alone and can be used to set eyebrow pencils for a fuller finish. The application process is also as simple as can be. All you’ll need is an angled brush coasted with the powder formula. Dab on the back of the hand to remove excess product and sweep the brush in the direction of your hair growth with a light hand. Brush through with a spollie and voila! Our Fashion and Beauty Director, Danielle James, swears by Urban Decay Brow Box in Brunette Betty ($12.97, nordstromrack.com ), “It comes with a spoolie and an applicator and even though it’s a powder, it also has a white pomade to help shape or create a stronger brow. I love it!” It’s currently on sale for over 50% off so you might want to scoop this up ASAP. So, the question remains- are brow pomades easier to shape your brows? We would definitely say that pomades are the safest bet! Not only does this product provide all day wear, it provides the picture perfect finish we all know and love. Pencils are great for those who are just starting their makeup journey, but pomades are where it’s at! What say you? Are you a fan of brow pencils or are you attached to eyebrow pomades?
