TMZ caught up with Towanda and Tracy Braxton when they landed in LA to support their sis, Tamar, after news broke of her divorce. “You guys came out to support Tamar?” the reporter asked. “That’s what we do, we’re Braxtons, we support everybody. That’s just what we do.” Towanda added that they’ve “all been divorced.” “We might have a divorce party, who knows,” she laughed. Tamar officially filed for divorce from her husband of eight years Tuesday. Her rep released a statement saying: “At this time we can confirm Ms. Braxton has made an extremely difficult decision and has filed for divorce from Vincent Herbert. Collectively, their son Logan and his well-being during this extremely unfortunate process is most important. We ask that everyone respects her privacy during this incredibly difficult time. She appreciates everyone’s love and prayers.” At least Tay-Tay won’t be alone during the process. Back in November of 2016, Jinger Duggar married Jeremy Vuolo in one of the lavish, massively attended ceremonies her family has become known for. From the first kiss shared in front of 1,500 guests to the TLC camera crew capturing every moment, the entire wedding was in keeping with Duggar tradition. Everything that’s come after the “I do’s,” however, has broken the mold. Shortly after the wedding, Jinger and Jeremy moved to Laredo, Texas , thus making her the first of the Duggar girls to permanently relocate outside of Arkansas. In a well-publicized display of sartorial rebellion, Jinger also began wearing pants , thus becoming the first of her generation to flout her parents’ famously strict dress code. But the most salient act of defiance on Jinger’s part is her decision to live a life that flies in the face of the central tenet of the Duggars’ ideology. If you follow the family closely, you know that the Duggars teach their children from a young age that a woman’s primary purpose in life is to have as many children as possible. As a result of that lifelong indoctrination, most Duggar women announce their first pregnancies within a few months of tying the knot. Recently, a new record was set when 19-year-old Joy-Anna Duggar revealed that she got pregnant on her honeymoon within days of marrying Austin Forsyth. So it comes as quite a surprise to fans that almost one full year after getting married, Jinger is still not expecting. Countless Jinger pregnancy rumors have circulated online, but thus far, they’ve all proven bogus. But, of course, that hasn’t been enough to bring an end to the constant scrutiny surrounding Jinger’s uterus. Fan theories abound as to why Jinger and Jeremy have yet to procreate, and now, according to In Touch , many Duggar aficionados are speculating that Jinger might be using birth control . Obviously, in most situations, a young, newly-married woman using birth control wouldn’t be considered remotely unusual. But Jinger is a Duggar, and her parents have made their feelings about contraception clear on numerous occasions. The most memorable, perhaps, is the now-deleted anti-birth control screed that Michelle and Jim Bob’s published on their personal website. Jinger’s parents explained: “As conservative Christians, we believe every life is sacred, even the life of the unborn. Due to our lack of knowledge, we destroyed the precious life of our unborn child.” “We prayed and studied the Bible and found a host of references that told us God considered children a gift, a blessing, and a reward.” “Yet we had considered having another child an inconvenience during that busy time in our lives, and we had taken steps to prevent it from happening.” Obviously, Jinger Duggar’s parents would consider it a personal affront if were revealed that the daughter has been using birth control. That doesn’t mean she is, however. Naturally, there are several reasons why Jinger and Jeremy may be holding off on having children, and not all of them are scandalous. It’s unusual, however, that she hasn’t gotten pregnant yet – that’s simply a fact, based on the track record of all of her married siblings. The Duggar family's unusual dating rules have been well documented, and have been well before the family was embroiled in scandals. It was an abrupt and stunning fall from grace when Josh Duggar's child molestation history – and rampant adultery – was first exposed. Yet, despite his hypocrisy, and the fact that everything about them has been under more scrutiny, the Duggars weathered the storm. TLC axed 19 Kids & Counting , only to come back with Counting On , and you can count on them never backing down from their beliefs. When it comes to their core convictions, they stand firm. Their belief system certainly takes a certain kind of conviction in order to practice, too, since their list of rules for love and life is not short. Despite talk of Joy-Anna Duggar breaking courtship rules , and signs of hope like Jinger wearing shorts , these guidelines ain't no joke. Here are 16 things the Duggars specifically do not allow … 1. Dates Without Chaperones The Duggar parents often accompany their kids on dates in order to maintain “accountability” and “keep things from going in the wrong direction,” per Jim Bob. The girls are fine with this, as being alone with men puts them in grave “moral danger.” When the parents aren’t available, their older siblings will often tag along, making every date a group date and a family affair. 2. Non-Group Texts Even in the kids’ late teens and early 20s, mom and dad are creeping on their text messages. When Ben Seewald jokingly wrote to fiancee Jessa, “Give me a ring,” Jim Bob actually jumped in on the group text, writing “No ring yet.” With a smiley face emoticon. Seriously, he did that. Whatever you think of him, Jim Bob needs his own Instagram so he can start posting screen shots of this stuff. 3. Hugs on the Chest This moment you see here between Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard would not have been permitted until the couple was married. Side hugs are the preferred method of PDA in order to prevent any further temptation or “hanky panky,” as has been well documented on 19 Kids and Counting. The Duggars love their side hugs so hard … though not too too hard, lest they lead to full-frontal hugging. And any touching beyond that? Save it for your wedding night. 4. Alcohol This is probably an obvious one if you know anything about the Duggars. The family does not smoke or drink. They do, however, enjoy the occasional sugary dessert or getting high on life and love. 5. Romance Novels Safe to say the Duggars are in the minority, having not read Fifty Shades of Grey (the movie adaptation of which they won’t be seeing either, we’re guessing). The Bible warns not to “think about gratifying the pleasure of the flesh,” so instead the family studies Christian text and not E.L. James’ erotic fiction. The Duggars’ option is probably 1,000 times better-written, we will give them that much. 6. Modern Music and/or Dancing Avert your eyes, Michelle Duggar! We recently learned that Anna Duggar didn’t have sex with her disgraced, cheating husband for nearly a year after he checked into rehab. Turns out his family won’t touch him either (so to speak). While it may seem like Josh Duggar is being slowly re-introduced into public life, everyone is clearly still wary of any association with him. The Duggars are in Big Sandy, Texas, attending a week-long convention for Christian families who adhere to a common set of beliefs. They announced that the “whole family (minus Jill and Derick) is heading to Big Sandy for their homeschool conference for the week!” Yes, including Josh … not that you’d know. In photos from the event, the expectant couple has been carefully avoided, though their two-year-old daughter Meredith was spotted. Josh and Anna did appear in one picture of a large family gathering, though they are MIA from any solo shots or other group images. Beyond the fact that his sex scandals have made Josh into a human third rail, criticism directed at Anna may also give the family pause. Currently pregnant with her fifth child, Anna has been criticized by many for standing by her man (she can’t win either way with fans). In any case, the silence can be deafening. When the world first learned that Anna was expecting for the fifth time, she and Josh revealed the news on the family Facebook page. While they are always congratulating their younger siblings on similar life milestones, Jill and Jessa Duggar were radio silent this time. Throughout the many, many scandals that have plagued the Duggar family over the past 18 months, the marriage between Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar has remained intact. But even the strongest marriage would be put to the test by the series of public controversies that somehow haven’t kept the Duggars off TV. So it’s not all that surprising that Jim Bob and Michelle attended a marriage counseling retreat last week. What is surprising is that they were paid speakers instead of guests! Yes, the couple – whose best marriage advice seems to be something along the lines of, “No front-hugging without a ring on it!” – was invited to address a crowd about “the Godly principals for keeping a vibrant, Christ-like marriage.” No word on how much JB and Michelle got paid, but with a title like that, but attendees say they were charged an astonishing $275 per ticket. For that price, we assume Michelle strapped on a guitar while Jim Bob Jaggered his way around the stage belting out a flawless rendition of “Satisfaction.” Sadly, there’s no word on what JB and Michelle talked about, but we assume they repeatedly reminded their fans that Ashley Madison is owned by the devil . It’s interesting that they decided to accept the engagement, as their speech came just a few weeks after they posted a message on their website “Unfortunately, due to the number of invitations and our schedule we cannot entertain invitations to personal events such as birthday parties and weddings,” the Duggars wrote in late August. “We wish we could go to everything!” “If you have expressed interest in our family speaking at a public event we will respond as soon as possible.” Maybe this gig was booked in well in advance. Or maybe this is the Duggars’ way of coping with the fallout of reports that they’re trying to have Josh appear on Counting On . The mere mention of using their reality series to try and rebuild Josh’s reputation was enough to spur reports that TLC would be giving the Duggars the ax . Perhaps the timing is coincidental, but we wouldn’t be surprised if this were step one of a reputation-rebuilding campaign.
