Thanks to a lot of work, Cardi B and Offset saved their marriage and are back together. But now, a pair of bloggers are threatening to ruin her life and reputation. Cardi is suing a pair of women for claiming that she is a “prostitute” who spends her days “spreading her herpes.” TMZ reports that Cardi B is suing Latasha K, a vlogger, over a series of posts on her channel, Unwine With Tasha K. Across 23 videos uploaded during a 14-month span, Latasha has allegedly made outrageous claims about Cardi. According to the lawsuit, Latasha made a post last April in which she made a claim that Kulture would be born with intellectual disabilities. The implication was that Cardi was a regular substance abuser and continued to do so during her pregnancy. While it is understandable that Cardi would sue over someone claiming she endangered her daughter, there’s more to this. Cardi is also suing Starmarie Ebony Jones. Starmarie, according to the lawsuit, posted a video in September with some wild claims about Cardi of her own. She alleged that Cardi did cocaine and Molly (that’s ecstasy, folks). To make matters worse, she accused Cardi of being a “prostitute” who had herpes and carelessly spread it to others. The suit claims that Starmarie said that Cardi is “just a Grammy nominated prostitute running around spreading her herpes.” Cardi is taking aim at both women in court, but they already know each other. Starmarie made a guest appearance on Unwine With Tasha K. In that appearance, according to the lawsuit, both women spread further claims about sexually transmitted infections. In that same video, both women level more sex work allegations at Cardi. Unless these women can prove that their claims are true or at least that they have evidence for them, this will not be a fun lawsuit for them. Cardi says that she has never been a user of either cocaine or Molly. She is not a full service sex worker and never has been. She also emphatically denies having herpes. According to Cardi, she gave both women plenty of time to simply retract their statements. People get carried away and then have to put out apologies all of the time. But these women have not withdrawn their claims, so Cardi is moving forward by suing them for defamation. She is also seeking an injunction to force the deletion of the videos. First and foremost, allegations of drug use are bad, but they pale beside implications of drug use while pregnant. Kulture is the center of Cardi’s whole world. Smearing someone’s reputation is a far cry from accusing them of neglect, abuse, or in this case, of risking giving birth to a “crack baby.” Cardi loves Kulture, even going so far as to take back the man who cheated on her with fans because Cardi wants Kulture to have both parents. We would be interested to know Latasha K felt confident enough to speak those accusations on her vlog. Or was she just trying to say inflammatory things to make a splash? It may be that Cardi ends up having to prove that the claims against her are untrue. If so, blood tests could show that she hasn’t used cocaine or Molly. More importantly, the herpes claim could be especially easy to disprove. If she takes a test and doesn’t have herpes, then the claim that she does is a lie. Now that they’re back together, Offset doesn’t want to lose Cardi B again . But it takes more than expert pipe-laying and avoiding groupies to make a relationship truly successful. Offset explains that he and Cardi are in marriage counseling to keep their In a new interview on “The Breakfast Club,” Offset opened up about his desire to not upset Cardi. When asked if he was afraid of losing her again, he replies: “For sho! Yeah!” But he explains that the two of them are working through their challenges. “You gotta go through steps and different things so we can grow,” he reasons. And one tool has been majorly helpful in helping them to process their relationship: marriage counseling. But don’t expect to see Offset and Cardi B appear on Marriage Boot Camp: Celebrity Edition any time soon. “Not on the TV though,” Offset clarifies. “Real behind the scenes.” He explains that he and his wife are working on “getting to know each other.” As has been demonstrated time and time again, reality television is an okay place to meet someone, but a terrible place for relationship growth. Real marriage counseling, Offset explains, is “getting to know who you’re with and appreciate them all the way around.” Charlemagne the God then asks for clarification: Did Offset and Cardi finish with their marriage counseling? Is everything fixed now? Offset replies that no, it’s really more of a process. He and his wife are “Working through it,” Offset answers. “Gotta work, gotta keep,” Offset emphasizes. “Don’t stop … we’re young, man.” In other words, he’s serious about staying with his wife, and that means that he doesn’t want to be complacent or just rely upon wishful thinking. Of course, the primary impetus behind Offset and Cardi B’s separation last year wasn’t some sort of mystery. It also wasn’t an emotional death by a thousand cuts. Offset was banging other women. Cardi had just brought Kulture into this world, but she gave her cheating husband the boot. There are women in this world who would be happy to have a rich rapper husband who sleeps around. Cardi, one of the most talented women on the planet, is not one of them. Offset was very lucky, because Cardi decided to give him a second chance. Their reunion brought mixed reactions from fans. First of all, some had felt that Cardi was always out of Offset’s league. That’s … really between her and Offset. Secondly, Cardi was very blunt about why she was giving him a second chance. After their first reunion, she explained that his dick game was out of this world and that she had missed it too much. Finally, a lot of fans fear that Cardi truly believes that Offset is the only man who could truly love Kulture as a father. Obviously, that is untrue. Cardi B is having quite a rollercoaster of a week. Things started off on a decidedly positive note when Cardi won the Grammy for best rap album , thus becoming the first solo female act to do so. But from there, however, a considerable amount of drama ensued, and not all of it had to do with Cardi’s reconciliation with Offset . First, there was the reaction to Cardi’s unexpected win on Twitter. Ariana Grande called the decision”literal bullsh -t,” but later clarified that her outburst had nothing to do with Cardi and was instead the result of her frustration over what she viewed as an unfair snub for her late boyfriend, Mac Miller. Unfortunately, BET’s tweets on the subject had everything to do with Cardi. And it seems the network’s bizarre trash talk created some major problems. As you may recall, Nicki Minaj and Cardi B have been feuding for months. And on a scale of Taylor vs. Katy to Biggie vs. Tupac, this one rates a full ” Cardi getting hit with a flying shoe ” during New York Fashion Week. And so, whoever runs BET’s Twitter account decided to take Cardi’s victory as an opportunity to throw some major shade at Nicki (below). Not surprisingly, Cardi wasn’t interested in being dragged down by pettiness on her big night. And so, she unleashed an expletive-laced tirade on BET before deleting her Instagram account altogether. “It’s not my style for people to put other people down to uplift somebody else,” said the mother of one in her noew-deleted rant. “I work hard for my f–king album,” she added. “I remember last year when I didn’t win for ‘Bodak Yellow’ and everybody was like, ‘Cardi got snubbed.’ Now this year’s a f–king problem?” And Cardi’s not the only one who’s pissed at BET. Nicki canceled an upcoming performance for the network in response to the ill-advised tweet. Elsewhere in the Cardi Universe, fans had a bit of fun with what appeared to be bruises on the rapper’s knee that were visible during some of her recent appearances. Cardi attributed the marks to her Grammys performance, during which she violently twerked on a piano. The internet, of course, had other theories. “U ain’t gotta lie you was on yo knees sucking d–k,” wrote one Instagram user. “I suck d–k on the bed not the floor so nooo,” came Cardi’s common sense response.
