Patricia Schlein/WENN.com MTV VMA Viewership Hits Record Low Despite all the chatter that’s popped up since the VMAs took place on Monday night…apparently, none of y’all were really watching it. Ratings numbers for the 2018 ceremony have rolled in, and it’s not looking too good for the award show out here. According to Complex , the show pulled in record low audience viewership for the network. Despite boasting performances from Travis Scott, Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande, and Jennifer Lopez to name a few, the show didn’t quite garner interest from viewers, only 2.25 million of which tuned in on MTV. Another 5.234 million tuned in on Vh1, BET, MTV2, and 8 other Viacom-owned channels where the show was broadcast live. So, overall, a total of only 7.484 million overall… which doesn’t even rival a viewing of HBO’s Game of Thrones . When “whoopings” go too far… Texas Soldier Beats Daughter To Death Over Soiled Diaper AS we’ve seen in the past few weeks, when people push the limits with corporal punishment , especially on small children , things tend to get out of hand and babies get hurt . Unfortunately in this tragic case, a father’s “whooping” went way too far and his two-year-old daughter ended up losing her life. Via DailyMail : A soldier beat his two-year-old daughter to death after he became upset that she had soiled her diaper, police have said. Dartarious Graham, 20, has been charged with capital murder after his daughter Peyton was found unresponsive with ‘suspicious’ injuries in his apartment in Fort Bliss, Texas. Police have also charged Graham’s cousin Robert Franklin, 19, for allegedly witnessing the attack and walking away. Graham, a US army specialist, is said to have become enraged and taken the little girl into his room with a belt. According to police, Franklin looked through the door and saw Graham beating little Peyton but ‘actually walked away while the beating took place.’ Investigators said Franklin told them he heard the child continue to be attacked and then came out of the bedroom. The pair called 911 in panic when they noticed the child go limp at 4.50pm on Saturday. Peyton was transported to El Paso Children’s Hospital, where she was pronounced dead an hour later, ABC7 reported. The child’s mother, Elizabeth Graham, 23, who was not home at the time of the incident, has been charged with injury to a child by omission. Investigators learned the father had a history of beating the child and that the mother had failed to protect her and report the abuse, police said. All three are being held in El Paso County jail. Dartarious Graham, whose bail is set at $250,000, could face the death penalty or life without parole if convicted. SMH! Discipline and abuse are NOT THE SAME. People really need to learn the difference and stop with this “my parents did this to me” mentality…
