Last week, the music world was shocked by the news that beloved Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington had passed away at the age of 41. Shortly thereafter, investigators confirmed Bennington’s cause of death . Perhaps mimicking the recent suicide of his friend Chris Cornell , Bennington had hung himself in his Los Angeles home, where his body was discovered by a housekeeper. He died on what would have been Cornell’s 53rd birthday. Hundreds of thousands have paid tribute to Bennington online, including many of the famous friends he made over the course of his 17-year music career. Today, the singer’s grief-stricken widow made her first public statement since Bennington’s passing. Her words reflect not only her own heartbreak, but also the grief endured by those who knew Bennington best, including his six children. “One week ago, I lost my soulmate and my children lost their hero – their Daddy,” Talinda Bennington wrote. “We had a fairytale life and now it has turned into some sick Shakespearean tragedy.” Talinda went on to say that she hopes her love for her children will sustain her through this incredibly difficult time. She also reminded fans that their words of support are deeply appreciated. “How do I move on? How do I pick up my shattered soul? The only answer I know is to raise our babies with every ounce of love I have left,” Talinda stated. “I want to let my community and the fans worldwide know that we feel your love. We feel your loss as well. My babies are so young to have lost their daddy. And I know that all of you will help keep his memory alive.” She concluded with a tribute to her departed husband that’s sure to leave many fans in tears. “He was a bright, loving soul with an angel’s voice,” Talida wrote. “And now he is pain-free singing his songs in all of our hearts. May God bless us all and help us turn to one another when we are in pain. Chester would’ve wanted us to do so. Rest In Peace, my love.” Bennington’s family members have stated that while they appreciate the well-wishes from fans, they plan to lay the singer to rest in a private ceremony. Back in October it was widely rumored that Paris Jackson and Chester Castellaw had gotten married . Thankfully, the teens never took that leap (as far as we know), and Radar Online is now reporting that Paris and Chester have broken up after less than a year of dating. “Paris broke up with Chester about three weeks ago and they are not on speaking terms right now,” says one insider. Paris’ family is said to be happy about the breakup, as they believed she and Chester were moving too fast. No cause for the split has been given, but sources say it was Paris who kicked Chester to the curb, and the breakup was an ugly one. The rumors about the couple getting married have been debunked, but several sources have confirmed that Paris and Chester were engaged at one point. So the split was messy, but it could’ve been much messier. Sounds like Paris dodged a bullet on that one. The girl is 17 years old and insanely wealthy. She can pretty much literally do whatever she wants with her life. Settling down now would be like…well, like settling down when you’re a wealthy teenager with your whole life ahead of you. By James Montgomery Ryan Dunn Photo: Michael Buckner/ Getty Images The initial autopsy of “Jackass” star Ryan Dunn and the passenger killed in an early-morning wreck in rural Pennsylvania on Monday revealed that the two died from blunt-force trauma and the fire that consumed Dunn’s vehicle. According to the Chester County Coroner, Dunn and 30-year-old Zachary Hartwell were both dead before police arrived at the scene of the accident, which occurred around 2:30 a.m. on Monday in West Goshen Township, when the amateur daredevil’s 2007 Porsche 911 GTS swerved off the road and flew through 40 yards of trees before hitting one and bursting into flames. West Goshen Police Chief Michael Carroll told Radar Online that an accident-reconstruction team was able to determine that the Porsche was traveling at a very high rate of speed — almost 130 mph — when it collided with a guard rail. “I’ve never seen a car destroyed in an automobile accident the way this car was, even before it caught on fire,” Carroll said. “The automobile actually came apart. It was unbelievable and I’ve been on a lot of fatal accident scenes. This was by far the worst I’ve ever seen.” TMZ reported that, based on the autopsy results, “It seems it was impossible to determine if the two died from the impact of the crash itself or from the fire that resulted.” The coroner also told the site that toxicology results for both men — which would help determine whether alcohol was involved in the crash — would be released in four to six weeks. In the hours before the crash, Dunn was photographed drinking at Barnaby’s of America , a bar in West Chester, Pennsylvania, leading some to speculate that he was drunk before the accident occurred. But an employee of the bar told MTV News that he “didn’t seem intoxicated.” “He seemed like he was having a good time, hanging out with friends,” the employee said. “[He] only had a couple beers here. As far as we’re concerned, the biggest thing, our hearts go out to the family and friends, and his loss is a big loss to our community.
