Lady Gaga: The Mugler Fashion Show Remix

Lady Gaga fans follow her unique style almost as much as her chart-topping music. It’s only fitting that she’d debut a new, remixed track at a fashion show. The house of Mugler, which retained the boundary-pushing star as musical director for its Paris menswear presentation Wednesday, has released a short film. That film combines footage from the runway with a remixed version of a new track, reportedly called “Schei

Bun B Hopes To Shoot Trill O.G. Videos With Drake

‘It’s always a good thing when me and the young boy get together,’ he tells MTV News. By Jayson Rodriguez Bun B Photo: MTV News Bun B and Drake are on a hot streak together, from their first collaboration “Uptown” to their most recent tracks “Put It Down” and “It’s Been a Pleasure” The UGK rapper opened for Drake earlier this month as a part of the Toronto star’s OVO Fest , and while he was in town, he tried to rope in his collaborator to shoot a video. The plan didn’t work out due to Drake’s busy schedule, but Bun said he plans to shoot videos for their songs and as many on his album, Trill O.G., as he can. “Definitely look for some visuals for ‘Put It Down’ in the future,” Bun told MTV News. “As well as ‘It’s Been a Pleasure.’ We’re gonna try to put out a visual for as much of Trill O.G. as we can.” A snippet of “Put It Down” leaked onto the Web well ahead of the album’s release, but now that Trill O.G. has arrived, the reaction to the Drake-assisted track has been high. “It’s very hard to live up to the hype the people create for things nowadays; luckily, this song did,” he said. ” ‘Cause a lot of time, people build something up, and it’s almost impossible to match up to that. In this case, it matched up to it. And the fact that the other song, ‘It’s Been a Pleasure,’ is on it, as well, you get two for two. It’s always a good thing when me and the young boy get together. It’s special music. That’s how I feel, and I think that’s how Drizzy feels.” What do you think about Bun B and Drake’s chemistry? Let us know in the comments!

Kaskade And Dragonette Vocalist Team Up For ‘Fire In Your New Shoes’

‘I wanted somebody who was on the pop-electro sound already,’ Kaskade says of choosing Martina Sorbara as his collaborator. By Akshay Bhansali Kaskade Photo: MTV News Earlier this year, progressive house-music producer Ryan Raddon — known to his fans around the world as Kaskade — found himself body-checking pop-music goliaths when his album Dynasty debuted at #5 on the iTunes album download charts, knocking Justin Bieber out of the top 10 that week. The album spent three consecutive weeks in the top 10, an indicator of popular music’s current appetite for faster beats per minute as well as a credit to Kaskade’s own skills. And while Dynasty features a mainstream dance collaboration with Dutch music titan Ti

M.I.A. ‘Didn’t Care About’ New Album, Diplo Says

‘All she has is a bunch of yes men around her and they kinda suck,’ producer tells BlackBook magazine. By Gil Kaufman M.I.A. Photo: Jeff Kravitz/ FilmMagic The last time producer Diplo was quoted talking about M.I.A. ‘s ///Y/&#92 album, he got caught in an Internet sinkhole when he referred to the noisome disc as a “turd” in joking response to a question from a fan about what sounded like a toilet flushing on the song “Tell Me Why.” He shrugged off that controversy, saying that the many music blogs that quickly headlined his slam of his collaborator’s music were “trippin’.” Diplo has since made a number of controversial remarks about the album and how it represented a breach in the once-close musical relationship he had with M.I.A., implying that he felt a bit locked out this time around. But in a new interview with BlackBook magazine , Diplo pulls no punches, making it very clear that he is not onboard with the sound of the album. “She didn’t care about it. I was in the studio with her, she didn’t write anything,” he said of M.I.A. “Me and [collaborator] Switch tried our best to be quality control of the record and she didn’t want that. She kind of went on her own way … I was like, Look, nobody in your crew — we were the only people she could trust, and our asses were on the line too. We got here because of working with people like her. We care about the way things sound, and when the people that she works with don’t, then it’s f—ed up.” Of course, Diplo was not naming names, and he noted that “she’s got talent in every aspect,” praising M.I.A.’s big ideas and ability to make things happen, but he lamented that the singer may have fallen into the usual trap of surrounding herself with sycophants. “All she has is a bunch of yes men around her and they kinda suck,” he said. “I burned like 20 bridges with her. I build my own bridges, it doesn’t matter. I’m honest. As soon as she comes to terms with what she does then we can work again. One of us has to be like, We f—ed up, and then we can do it again.” Last month, Diplo told MTV UK that M.I.A. “didn’t want to put any of my records on it like last time. She will do anything to discredit me.” And in the BlackBook interview, he added that he was a bit shocked at some of the backlash M.I.A. has gotten over the album. “I am surprised by it,” he said. “She like, retired because she married a dude and she didn’t care about music. She only did it again because ‘Paper Planes’ did blow up in the end. It gave her a second wind, but she didn’t have any hunger anymore. She already got a full table … but besides that I think she’s amazing and she’ll put another record out that’s going to be f—in’ sick because I think she needs to get grounded at some point.” For her part, the outspoken singer seems to have taken the high road and has not shot back at Diplo so far, recently telling MTV News that she’s very proud of the “3-D” sound of the album, saying she likes the aggressive, rattling drill bit effects on tracks like “Steppin’ Up.” Spokespeople for Diplo and M.I.A. could not be reached for comment at press time. Eminem, Lil Wayne Toss Salvos On Anguished ‘No Love’

The Just Blaze-produced duet samples unlikely dance track ‘What Is Love?’. By Jayson Rodriguez Eminem’s Recovery Photo: Interscope Eminem and Lil Wayne toss lyrical salvos on their Recovery collaboration, “No Love,” which arrived online Tuesday (June 8), leaked to the web with the rest of Em’s album. Just Blaze produced the angst-ridden number, which, somewhat surprisingly, samples the Haddaway dance track “What Is Love?” better known as the theme for the Saturday Night Live “Roxbury Guys” sketches than for its rap cred. On the menacing track, though, Wayne and Em swap tough-guy rhymes. “They call me a freak because I like to spit on these p—–s before I eat them,” Em raps on the second verse. “Get these wack co——ers offstage/ Where’s Kanye when you need him?” Later on the track, Em croons in a sing-song flow on the chorus: “It’s a little too late to say that you’re sorry now/ You kicked me when I was down/ But what you say … don’t hurt me.” The track marks the first time the two have specifically traded rhymes as a pair on one track. On Drake’s “Forever,” the two guest MCs were joined by Kanye West. And although Em and Wayne appeared together on “Drop the World,” off the Young Money star’s rock-leaning effort, Rebirth, Wayne wasn’t rapping as much as singing (aided by Auto-Tune). While traveling overseas recently, Eminem had high praise for his collaborator. The duo have long admired each other, and Wayne campaigned for years to join the Detroit MC on a track. “I’ve always respected what Wayne does, and Wayne, to me, is definitely one of the greatest in the game right now,” Em said. Jay-Z: Kanye West is Just "Passionate"

The only person yet to weigh in on Kanye West’s Taylor Swift ambush at the MTV VMAs has finally said his piece, thanks to a BBC Radio 1 DJ who got ahold of him. “It’s an awards show,” Jay-Z said, dismissing the controversy surrounding his collaborator and good friend Kanye. “He’s just a super passionate person.” That’s a nice way of saying ” jackass .” Jay-Z, the husband of Beyonce, who Kanye was giving props to during his rant on stage, did acknowledge that, “Of course it was rude, it was her moment.” But, “that’s the way he felt .
