The Bachelor Season 23: When Does It Premiere?

As has been explained and detailed many times over the past few months, Colton Underwood has never been inside a woman. But ABC has now announced the date on which he’ll premiere inside The Bachelor Mansion as the lead star in this ever-popular franchise. The network just confirmed that Season 23 of The Bachelor will kick off on January 7, 2019. The former football player first competed for Becca Kufrin’s heart on Season 14 of The Bachelorette this year — and he later shattered Tia Booth’s heart on Season 5 of Bachelor in Paradise. Underwood has been making his reality show rounds, but, as he’s mentioned on multiple occasions, he’s never gone all around the bases with a woman. We don’t mean to keep hammering this point home, but you better believe ABC will continue to promote Underwood as a virgin all throughout his upcoming season. “I’m very excited,” Underwood said on Good Morning America two months ago, adding: “Third time’s a charm.’ That’s what they say, right? That’s what I’m hoping for.” Colton also seems aware that his selection as the Bachelor wasn’t met with universal praise. Some critics out there think he’s too boring; too vanilla; not horny or lewd enough to be entertaining. He’s aware of what these folks have been saying and he’s trying to stay above it all. “People hate what they don’t understand & try to destroy it,” Underwood Tweeted in early September , adding: “Only try to keep yourself clear and don’t allow that destructive force to spoil something that to you is so simple, natural & beautiful.” You can’t deny that he seems like an incredibly nice guy, but that almost seems to be the problem Bachelor fans have with him. Underwood actually met three of the women competing for his affection when he taped an episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show this fall. He told the comedian at the time that he’s looking for someone who is a “good person” and “could be a good mother” one day. Hear that, potential suitors?!? “I feel like I was born to be a dad,” the 26-year old added. “I’m super excited about this.” As for what else Underwood is hoping to find on the show? Other qualification he has for a future wife? Colton sounds open to almost anything or anyone, but did say the following to Ellen: “I like to be challenged in a relationships. “My motto for this season is to live in the moment. I’m going to be present and just enjoy myself and have fun. The other two shows, I had to deal with some situations. Kailyn Lowry to Chris Lopez: For Real, Get Me Pregnant!

Kailyn Lowry and Chris Lopez have had a very interesting relationship. And by “interesting,” of course we mean “super weird and dramatic and perfect for reality television.” Unfortunately, although Kailyn is of course one of the stars of Teen Mom 2, Chris has never agreed to be on the show, so we’ve missed out on a lot of the action. But man, the things we have heard … It’s been a lot. Like we said, because Chris hasn’t been on the show and hasn’t given interviews, a lot of the things we know about him are just rumors, or information from Kailyn. And since there have been times they haven’t gotten along , she might not be the most reliable source of information. But the gist of it all is that they were friends in college who started hooking up when her marriage with Javi Marroquin fell apart. Towards the end of 2016, she became pregnant, and as she revealed in a blog post she made when the news leaked, it was by choice. Still, the pregnancy was rough on her emotionally, especially because Chris wasn’t that involved. She said on Teen Mom 2 that he had another girlfriend, and that he refused to accompany her to her doctor’s appointments for the baby. In one particularly tough episode, she had a health scare while on vacation, but he still wouldn’t answer her calls or texts. When she gave birth to their son, Lux, in August of 2017, he did start coming around to spend time with the baby. In her new book, Letters of Love, Kailyn wrote that during that time, they actually tried to be a couple for Lux’s sake, but that it only lasted a month. After that, they didn’t speak for around eight months, and during that time, she said that things were especially bad . “I’ve had my bedroom window broken while the baby was sleeping with me in the room,” she claimed, apparently insinuating that Chris was responsible. She also said that “My backdoor had been broken while all of my kids were at home.” “I’ve been left to take care of everything,” she continued, referring to the time that Chris wasn’t involved in Lux’s life. “I kind of knew this would be a possibility, but I guess I wanted to be proved wrong,” Kailyn admitted. “Because I can be totally responsible for our child doesn’t mean that I should take care of everything.” In spite of all of that, she’s said several times that Chris is the only person she’s ever really been in love with . Yep, she had a kid with Jo Rivera, and she got married AND had a kid with Javi Marroquin, but Chris is it. And in a new interview with Us Weekly, she details exactly how much she loves Chris. Hint: enough to want him to put another baby in her! “Before I got pregnant with Lux and had multiple miscarriages, my doctor told me I should be thankful that I have two healthy boys and what’s meant to be will be,” she begins. “I kind of have that perspective now.” Kind of, but not totally. Kail says that in her new book, she wrote that Lux “will probably be my last child.” “I would definitely have more,” she clarifies, “but I also know that my life isn’t really set up for another right now.” She admits that “Ideally I would have liked Chris to be the father of my next child.” Don’t worry, though, it’s not like she’s set on that idea. Instead, she says that “In the meantime, I will focus on my hair line and business ventures and hopefully the other things will fall into place.” It’s good that she sounds pretty chill about this whole thing, right? But then again, it seems like she’s been considering the possibility of having another baby with Chris for quite some time now. On an episode of her podcast from all the way back in May, she brought up the idea, saying that perhaps he could simply donate his sperm to the cause . Given how many ups and downs their relationship has had, it’s hard to say whether or not this could ever actually happen. Right now though, they seem to be getting along better than ever before. Colton Underwood: A Manipulative Creep Who Wants Fame, Not Love?

A couple of previous leading men have warned that  Colton Underwood will hate being the Bachelor . It’s a harder job than it seems. But the  The Bachelor  Spoilers  that we’re hearing about Colton’s season is painting a different picture. It sounds like Colton is much shadier than anyone had ever imagined. Speaking to  HollywoodLife , a source says that the wide-eyed virgin  Colton Underwood is a fame-hungry manipulator . “Colton’s smart,” the insider says. As proof, they point to his actions since he joined the Bachelor Fam. “All his moves were well calculated,” the source claims. “After getting eliminated on  The Bachelorette ,” the insider points out. “He joined Tia in  Bachelor in Paradise. ” Going from one to the next is just part of the gig for a lot of stars, but it’s the timing of Colton’s moves that is raising eyebrows. “And then,” the source narrates, Colton “broke up with her” The insider points out that Colton did that “just in time to get his own show.” That’s a pretty serious accusations — since Tia is a real person with real feelings. “It’s no wonder she doesn’t feel like he’s ready [for a serious relationship],” the source concludes. Tia is not Colton’s only ex with concerns about him. But this next piece of info is a bit of a spoiler. Annie Reardon is one of  the women competing for Colton’s heart .  She even got to meet him early, in an appearance on  Ellen . That’s a promising start, right? On October 2,  Reality Steve  revealed that Annie had been home for a week. What’s more, she apparently — if we’re to take her at her word — chose to come home rather than continue competing for Colton. Reality Steve  revealed a Snapchat that appeared to show Annie dragging Colton. “When you dump the  Bachelor  bc he’s weird as s–t,” her allegedcaption began. The caption continued: “And are headed back to normal, happy life without psycho people.” We are  intensely  curious to find out what transpired to send Annie running home to her seven dogs. But Annie isn’t alone in thinking that Colton may not be the best leading man ever. It wasn’t so long ago that Dean Unglert looks like a solid candidate to be an unusually young Bachelor. Dean blew his goodwill in a disastrous  Bachelor in Paradise  love triangle. And though he redeemed himself on  The Bachelor: Winter Games , he’s no longer the apple of the Bachelor Nation’s eye. Deanie Babies warns that  Colton Underwood will be the worst Bachelor ever . It’s not that Dean is trying to be mean. But Colton has a history of appearing to be wildly indecisive. Being the leading man this show is literally just making decisions. It’s hell if you can’t make choices and stick to them. That said, if Colton is a shrewd calculator rather than being truly indecisive, maybe Dean has him pegged all wrong. While we’re talking about Colton as a reality star, we should also talk about Colton as a boyfriend. He may be hot, but if you read between the lines of ex-girlfriend Aly Raisman’s book, he may lack inner beauty. Olympic champion Aly wrote a tell-all book that mentions her dating an unnamed football player. She describes this guy having her fly out to watch him play, and then says that he was only interested in hearing people on the radio discuss him after his game. He allegedly became irritable when she assumed that he was joking. Without actually name-dropping him, it sounds like Aly  accused Colton of being a selfish jerk . The idea that he just wanted to hear his name on the radio really blends with the rest of this picture that is forming. Annie was very vague in her snap, but the source that spoke to  HollywoodLife  was not. It could be that Colton is self-obsessed and putting on a puppy-like facade to milk the Bachelor Nation for fame and attention. But it’s also definitely possible that people are on their guard after Arie’s season, and a little too eager to spot a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Kim Kardshian Stuns the World: I Hate My Giant Butt!

Before Keeping Up With the Kardashian — and even before her now-infamous sex tape with Ray J made her a household name — Kim Kardashian’s prodigious backside captured the attention of both star-making Hollywood power players and creepy internet pervs alike. Actually, we now know there’s some major overlap between those groups, but that’s a conversation for another time. The point is, the pop culture mainstream had never seen anything like Kim’s outsized ‘donk before. These were the dark ages in which the three old white guys who run Hollywood still thought Jennifer Lopez had the biggest ass imaginable. Kim single-handedly shattered the glass chair that had so long prevented women with genuinely giant butts from taking seats of power in Hollywood. (It’s not a perfect metaphor, but you get the idea.) You may be thinking to yourself, haven’t you guys spent enough time talking about Kim Kardashian’s ass over the years? To which we say, you might as well tell Neil DeGrasse-Tyson that he’s spent quite enough time talking about space for one lifetime. Anyway, we present you with this short history of ass for good reason. You see, it’s recently come to our attention that Kimberly Noel Kardashian West is less than thrilled with her most famous feature. This shocking news was delivered courtesy of a preview clip for Sunday night’s episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians . The scene starts innocently enough with Kourtney Kardashian throwing a bit of humorous sisterly shade: “Kim, when you sit down your butt looks so huge,” Kourtney opined. When she was rebuffed by Kris Jenner, Kourt objected: “She likes having a big butt, I’m not saying anything offensive,” she said. That’s when Kim made the sad reveal that her most coveted asset has become a burden: “No I don’t! I cry about it on the daily,” Kim replied. Now, this attempt to shame Kourtney for her joke may be a result of the ongoing Kim vs. Kourtney feud . But it’s equally possible that Kim really is not a fan of her own butt. It’s hard to imagine — like Kylie dissing her own lips, or Kanye deciding his ego is grotesquely oversized — but we suppose it’s possible. So if you want to do some good for humanity today, head on over to Kim’s Instagram page and give a shout-out to the ass that broke the internet. The Bachelor Will Do Fantasy Suites Differently for Virgin Colton Underwood!

The Bachelor Nation knows that Colton Underwood is the next Bachelor , and fans have some questions and concerns. Chris Harrison has come forward to address at least some of those worries. He promises that fans will have a good time. He shares how the show plans to tackle Colton’s virginity — and how this season’s Fantasy Suites will be very special. At the New York premiere of  A Simple Favor  on Monday. September, 10, Chris Harrison told Entertainment Tonight about why they picked Colton. “No matter what we say, if we said Jason, if we said Blake, it doesn’t matter,” Chris admits. “There’s going to be backlash, that’s the way social media works these days.” In case you’re wondering why so many celebs keep saying problematic stuff, it’s that exact attitude and an inability to distinguish between trolls and actual feedback. “Colton’s going to be good TV, and that is the reason we chose him,” Chris explains bluntly.  That sounds very honest. Chris then cracks a joke that will honestly sell more viewers on Colton than anything else: “He probably won’t have his shirt on after night one, so it’s going to be a good season.” Chris does admit that the fans aren’t sure if Colton is ready for marriage. And, as Chris says, “that’s the whole point of the show.” Looking for candidates for marriage is the whole point of The Bachelor franchise. Finding out if Colton is ready for it is the point of this season, we guess. “Maybe at the end of it, he’s not, and it’s a complete disaster,” Chris says. “That’s the way it goes, that’s life” Chris does address that the Fantasy Suite is going to be a little more intriguing since Colton has never banged before. “Well, this year, because I know he’s the Bachelor, I brought in props,” Chris jokes. His joke continues: “So there’s going to be a big presentation of what happens in the fantasy suite [with] 3D models.” That sounds painfully awkward. Fortunately, to make sure that we know (we hope) that this is a joke, Chris continues. “It really gets interesting,” Chris says. “And I’m going to bring my son in as well, who is a teenager, so I can knock out the talk.” If you haven’t had the talk with your teen yet, they already got it from their friends. But, again, Chris is joking. We hope. Chris does take a slightly more serious tone as he discusses the implications of Colton Underwood’s virginity. “No, but it’s part of the storyline, the fact that Colton’s a virgin, clearly,” Chris affirms. “How will the women react to that?” Chris asks rhetorically. “How is he going to handle that?” That’s a good question. And, of course, we already got a taste of that narrative after the episode aired in which Colton confessed to Becca. “It’s something that he’s obviously dealt with his entire life,” Chris reminds viewers. “And he got emotional about it.” Chris mentions how Colton spoke “about when he was in the NFL and having to fake it.” Actual locker room talk, for Colton, involved pretending that he’d had sexual experiences that he had not. “So, we are going to deal with that,” Chris says. “We’ll dive into that.” We’re sure that they will. So we suppose that Chris Harrison’s pitch for Colton’s season is:  Come for the shirtless eye candy, stay for the virginity drama . Will it work? For the network, it’s a gamble. Especially if someone comes forward and claims that Colton has been lying about his virgin status. Fans have already been warned that Colton is a selfish jerk who may be more interested in fame than finding love or marriage. Some think that, after Arie, the network should have gone with the most trustworthy, non-controversial pick that they could. Others say that people are simply being unfair to Colton. Jean Blanc Accuses Colton Underwood of Having a Micropenis

We may know who wins the final rose thanks to The Bachelorette spoilers , but nothing could’ve prepared us for this drama. Things have turned rather personal between Jean Blanc and Colton Underwood. Like, very, very, very, very, VERY personal. At this point, we should likely state that the rest of this post may not be safe for work or for young children… Both Blanc and Underwood competed on Season 14 of The Bachelorette, vying for the heart of star Becca Kufrin. Both advanced far enough and made enough of an impression with their personalities to have been featured last Monday night on the Men Tell All special. At one point on this special episode, Blanc was called to the sofa alongside Kufrin and placed on the hot seat by handsome host Chris Harrison. It didn’t take long for things to escalate from here, as ABC was forced to censor most of the back-and-forth between Blanc on the couch and Underwood from a spot in the crowd. Did Underwood really tell Blanc to “shut the f-ck up,” as it sounded like to those of us watching at home? Dod Blanc really respond by slamming Colton as a “pussy” and making a remark about his well-publicized virginity in the process? No, actually. Not according to Jean Blanc at least. “Colton called me [a pussy.] His negative energy was directed towards me, and it made me feel very uncomfortable,” the scorned suitor told Life & Style this week, adding: “On the show, I was shocked and disappointed by the vulgarity and level of aggression by Colton. He is desperate to become the next Bachelor and is doing everything he can to maintain relevancy. It’s sad.” The possibility of Underwood as The Bachelor isn’t far-fetched, that’s for sure. The series has never featured a virgin before and there’s no doubt such a unique trait would be marketable to the network. Added Jean Blanc in this interview: “The real version of what occurred was Colton attacking me, and me repeating what was uttered.” Underwood has spoken at length about his decision to not yet have slipped his penis inside of a woman’s vagina. But that’s exactly what it has been, he’s emphasized, a decision … until the right person comes along. Blanc, however, says something else. “Nothing I am saying is inaccurate,” Jean told the aforementioned tabloid, adding in juicy detail he swears to be true: “What was the reason he was a virgin?” “Because he is waiting for the right one? Colton told me he has a micropenis, I think that’s the reason why Colton is a virgin.” “Him attacking me is a reflection of his ‘insecurities’ like he said on the show and it’s disappointing to hear that.” Having a micropenis is a legitimate medical condition. It refers to a man possessing an unusually small penis, with the common criterion being a dorsal (measured on top) erect penile length of at least 2.5 standard deviations smaller than the mean human penis size and… … wait, WHAT?!? Blanc wants us to believe that Underwood willingly offered up this information to him? We may need to call BS on this claim. (Which we say with no judgment to any virgin or anyone with a micropenis. Respect all around. We simply do not believe what Jean Blanc is saying here.)
