His sauce repertoire isn’t any more impressive, and on the latest episode of Hot Ones , Yachty reveals that he’s never tried hot sauce in his life! “I was always curious about, like, how does hot sauce work? Growing up I used to wonder, ‘If I touched it, was it hot?’” he asks during the episode. As you can probably imagine, Lil Boat’s first experience trying hot sauce didn’t exactly go over well–especially on a show that’s too spicy for some people who’ve been eating spicy food their whole life. The murder of Skylar Neese by her two closest friends – one of whom confessed to stabbing her and lying about it for months – shocked her hometown. Skylar, a West Virginia teen, disappeared on July 6, 2012 and for six months her family and friends searched for her and pleaded for her return. Rachel Shoaf and an unidentified teen had been her best friends for years and they cried with her parents and helped look for their missing friend. All the while, knowing they were guilty of her murder . Skylar, 16, came home from work at a fast food restaurant and was last seen on surveillance video in her apartment complex climbing out of her bedroom window. When Skylar didn’t return that night or go to school or work the next day and her parents alerted the police and a six-month long search for her began. Rachel and the other girl, who has not been identified because she has not been charged as an adult yet, were constantly with Skylar’s parents. “She walked in when she came here. She didn’t even knock. She was like our daughter,” Dave Neese said of their relationship with the unidentified girl. The girls misled investigators and Skylar’s parents until January when Rachel finally confessed that they had lured their friend out with them. At that point, they drove her to a remote area in Wayne Township, Pa., where at an agreed upon time, they stabbed her repeatedly for unknown reasons. During the May 1 hearing prosecutor Marcia Ashdown said the girls tried to bury Skylar but were unable so they covered her body with branches. Her mother, Mary Neese, said the girls didn’t tell the truth and that is how they were finally arrested. “One after another, just lie, lie, lie,” she said. “Did the same thing to the police.” “That’s how the police got onto them, because they would forget what they told them at one point and tell them another, totally different story.” Classmates of the girls told authorities that they even overheard them talking about the murder but didn’t believe that they were telling the truth. The unidentified teen posted a picture online with Skylar and wrote a note begging her to come home, despite being involved in her disappearance.
After defeating the Boston Bruins to win the Stanley Cup this week, the Chicago Blackhawks took out a full-page ad in the rival city’s Boston Globe . The purpose: To thank the Bruins, their fans and Boston itself. Pretty classy gesture by the Blackhawks, especially after celebrating their Cup victory on Boston’s home ice with a dramatic Game 6 clincher. Win like men, lose like men. Both goals can be elusive. But based on the contents of this letter, it appears the members of both NHL finalists did just that, along with the fans of the 2011 champion Bruins. Refreshing, wouldn’t you say?
Auction items from rented home include bed on which Jackson died. But will they pony up big bucks to own the bed on which their icon died? We will find out on December 17, when Julien’s Auctions Gallery will auction off the contents of the rented Holmby Hills, California, home that Jackson was renting at the time of his death. Though the announcement of the sale does not mention Jackson by name, it lists a variety of fine art and furnishings from the residence, including a gilded Louis XV headboard (est. $3,000/$4,000) and a $30,000 watercolor painting by Maurice Utrillo. An Associated Press story revealed that the sale of contents of 100 North Carolwood Drive will comprise items left behind by Jackson. The singer passed away in the home on June 25, 2009, and on Monday his personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, was found guilty of one felony count of involuntary manslaughter in Jackson’s death. Among the pieces of evidence brought up by prosecution witnesses attesting to Murray’s medical incompetence was the fact that he gave Jackson CPR on a bed instead of a hard surface. The hundreds of items up for sale in the auction include the queen-size bed where Jackson slept. In an ironic twist, just as Murray was getting news of the guilty verdict, reporters were being taken through the three-story home on a private tour in order to publicize the auction. “We want to preserve the history of these items,” said auctioneer Darren Julien of the contents, which include paintings and sculptures Jackson surrounded himself with in the rented home as he tuned up for his planned “This is It” comeback tour. The house, where Jackson lived with his three children from December 2008 until his death, is also separately up for sale. One of the most-personal items on the block ($400) is a chalkboard that hung in the home’s kitchen that features a note from the kids that reads, “I (heart) Daddy. SMILE, it’s for free.” A mirror on an antique armoire in Jackson’s private bedroom featured a message the star wrote to himself that read, “TRAIN, perfection, March April. FULL OUT May,” a reference to the grueling rehearsal schedule the 50-year-old was keeping up as he prepared for the string of concerts that were to begin in London in July 2009. Reporters also saw a “medication room,” the bedroom shown in evidence photos at Murray’s trial, where fans can pick up upholstered chairs smudged with Jackson’s makeup. An attorney for Jackson matriarch Katherine Jackson said that the family is aware of the auction and has made certain that the event does not use Michael’s name or likeness to help sell the items; Jackson’s name is not mentioned in the promotional materials for the auction.
