Eminem’s Recovery Track List Revealed: Lil Wayne, Rihanna Guest

Pink also appears on album, due June 22. By Jayson Rodriguez Eminem’s Recovery Photo: Interscope First, Eminem opened up his circle of producers to include Just Blaze , Jim Jonsin and Mobb Deep’s Havoc on his June 22 album, Recovery. Now, the album’s track list has arrived via RapRadar.com , and it finds Slim Shady collaborating with a cadre of artists he’s never worked with before in his career. Pink, Rihanna and Kobe, a singer who appeared on Fabolous’ last album, highlight the list of guests on Recovery, Em’s follow-up to last year’s Relapse Lil Wayne is the only other guest who appears on the album. The two lyricists collaborated previously on Wayne’s rock-leaning project Rebirth, but they’ve never traded rhymes with each other on the same song; on “Drop the World,” Wayne sings for the most part aided by Auto-Tune, and Eminem delivers a rap verse at the end of the number. The lead single from Recovery, “Not Afraid,” premiered a month ago and quickly established that Eminem was back. The track debuted at #1 on Billboard ‘s Hot 100 chart, making the rapper one of only a handful of artists to achieve the feat. The cover artwork for Recovery debuted earlier this week on the rapper’s website. MTV News’ request to Interscope Records to confirm the track list has not been returned as of press time. Recovery track list, according to RapRadar.com: 1. “Cold Wind Blows” 2. “Talkin’ 2 Myself” (featuring Kobe) 3. “On Fire” 4. “Won’t Back Down” (featuring Pink) 5. “W.T.P.” 6. “Going Through Changes” 7. “Not Afraid” 8. “Seduction” 9. “No Love” (featuring Lil Wayne) 10. “Space Bound” 11. “Cinderella Man” 12. “25 to Life” 13. “So Bad” 14. “Almost Famous” 15. “Love the Way You Lie” (featuring Rihanna) 16. “You’re Never Over” Are you excited to hear Eminem’s new album? Eminem Is ‘Back’ On ‘Not Afraid,’ Fans Say

‘THAT is the eminem I like hearing,’ one fan tweets about the lead Recovery single. By Jayson Rodriguez Eminem Photo: Kevin Winter/ Getty Images Eminem’s “Not Afraid” has been the talk of blogs, message boards and social-media networks on Thursday (April 29), as the rapper detoured from his normal route of celebrity-bashing numbers and instead delivered an honest take on his life and career, even calling last year’s Relapse “ehh.” Fans have mostly been supportive, with many noting his departure from zanier fare. “Very different than his usual 1st singles, but I like it,” kevi-B wrote on MTV.com. The Detroit rapper’s last album, Relapse, was among 2009’s highest sellers, but fans complained that it didn’t show off the MC’s skills. The album was Eminem’s first in five years, after suffering from drug dependency and the loss of his close friend, D12 rapper Proof. In interviews, Em noted that the album helped him work his way through writer’s block, and he returned to his Slim Shady persona for aid. Rbrt_vndrvn wrote on MTV.com that the criticism seems to have motivated Eminem on “Not Afraid.” “Well, it’s official: Eminem has to work with a chip on his shoulder and something to prove to bring out his potential,” he said. “From now on, I declare Eminem the underdog, and we will always get great music!” Since Relapse, Eminem stayed visible by contributing to Drake’s “Forever,” Lil Wayne’s “Drop the World” and B.o.B’s “Airplanes (Part II)” in preparation for his upcoming Recovery, due in June. That output left fans excited, and Twitter member Tony Markovich gave Em two virtual thumbs up. “THAT is the Eminem I like hearing,” he tweeted. “Forever, Drop the World, Airplanes, Despicable, and now this!? I’d say he’s back.” Some Slim Shady fans weren’t happy with Eminem dismissing Relapse, which actually took home some awards-show hardware. “Great leadoff song,” Tom wrote on MTV.com “Really goes well with the album title. … I’m surprised he called Relapse ‘ehh.’ Relapse wasn’t as bad as people make it out to be. The only downside to it was it was a bit repetitive, but he spit fire on every track. Em’s ‘ehh’ album still wins a Grammy for Best Rap Album.” Are you excited to hear Eminem’s new music? Lil Wayne Leaves A Video Warning For Other MCs: ‘Y’all In Trouble’

Plus: Check out new behind-the-scenes photos of Weezy and Eminem from their ‘Drop the World’ shoot, in Mixtape Daily. By Shaheem Reid. with additional reporting by Rahman Dukes Lil Wayne Photo: Derrick G The O.D.: A Mixtape Daily Exclusive The fans on Twitter are writing “Free @liltunechi.” The fans on the street are screaming “Free Lil Wayne.” Any way you put it, the people miss one of rap’s most dynamic superstars. We haven’t sat down with Weezy yet for a new interview, but he left us some more footage of himself before heading to jail last month . In the clip, Wayne is recording songs for his No Ceilings mixtape, and even though the music was coming out great, he wasn’t 100 percent inspired. “It’s all right, but I really don’t feel it like that,” Wayne said, looking into the camera while shooting his “Nino Brown Story” DVD. Someone off camera jokingly yells “bullsh–.” “I swear to God,” Wayne insisted. “It’s all right. I’m telling you, rappers now, you better get it up while I’m not feeling it like that. Once I start feeling it like that, y’all in trouble. Right now, I’m rappin’ right now because y’all ain’t heard me in a minute. I don’t really feel it like that. But my artists though … psssh. They’ll eat you n—as’ lunch. We superstars. We don’t battle. We don’t want to be compared to nobody. I teach, I preach and I [lead by example]. Superstars. We breed superstars. I teach them how to be superstars first. You don’t wanna be a rapper, you don’t wanna be a singer, you wanna be a superstar. Therefore you don’t have to rap nor sing. You can do whatever, because you a superstar. It’s easier.” Wayne recently teamed with another superstar, Eminem. As you know, they filmed the video for “Drop the World” in February, and some new behind-the-scenes pictures have surfaced. Also, we got a sneak peek at a Wayne video directed by DJ Scoob Doo. They made a movie. Check back soon for more on that one. For other artists featured in Mixtape Daily, check out Mixtape Daily Headlines . Waka Flocka Flame ‘Ain’t Worried’ About Who Shot Him

MC says he isn’t concerned about self-proclaimed gunmen who posted photo of himself online with Waka’s stolen chain. By Shaheem Reid Waka Flocka Flame Photo: MTV News Last week, a man claiming to have shot Waka Flocka Flame last month in Atlanta sent his photo to KarenCivil.com, holding Flocka’s stolen diamond Brick Squad chain. Obviously, self-incrimination took a back seat to attaining two minutes of fame for the self-proclaimed assailant. Although he’s said the shooting was an attempt on his life , Flocka said he isn’t concerned with who the gunman might be. During a visit to New York on Tuesday (February 23), Flocka said he’s moving on from the shooting . “I don’t know [if it was actually the gunman] ’cause I didn’t even see who shot me,” Flocka responded sarcastically when asked about his thoughts on the photo. “I thought a dog shot me. I thought a bird shot me. It’s stupid.” Flocka was sporting a brand-new Brick Squad chain today. This one had green diamonds and looked a lot flashier than the one he lost. “This is round two,” he said about his new chain. “Round one is gonna pop up in my mailbox like, ‘Hey man — here.’ “I ain’t worried about you. I appreciate you too,” Flame addressed the gunman, looking directly into MTV News’ camera. “You got me sacked up real big. I got a stupid house off you, cars off you. I appreciate you, man.” When asked why he thought someone would incriminate himself further by putting a picture online, Flocka said he’s he doesn’t know or care. “That’s on them folks. Let them folks do they job,” he said. “It is what it is. Y’all done said enough. I did enough. What I’mma keep flippin the story? I don’t know, bruh. Let them live their life, I’mma live my life. That’s right there [behind me]. They sitting right there. They probably not even sitting this close. I’m giving them too much. I ain’t even worried about them. That’s so behind me right now.” Flocka’s “O Let’s Do It” and its official remix continue to be hot singles, and he said he’s going to let the streets pick his next single and isn’t too focused on making an album at the moment. He’s content with dropping mixtapes. Waka and Roscoe Dash (of “All The Way Turnt Up” fame) are releasing a street project of duets called Ten Toes Down. Waka also has two solo mixtapes, LeBron Flocka James 2 and Keith Waka Sweat. “For these girls,” he explained about why he’s putting out the latter. “I got too much girl fans — 70 percent of my shows be girls — so I gotta give them some music.” Since being released from the hospital earlier this month, Flocka Flame is just now feeling up to moving around. Besides his gunshot wounds, he had blood clots in his right leg and arm. “I feels good, bro. It feels real different,” he said about being mobile. “It feels like the old me died. I promise to God. I don’t even have a normal life no more. I’m learning this new lifestyle. I’m just eating what they feed me. In this business, this attitude and anger — you gotta throw that to the side. Your pride, you gotta tuck that in. You go with the flow. But you don’t bend over backwards for nobody. To each his own, you gotta really count your moves and what you say in this game.” Waka’s first show since the shooting was last week in St. Louis. “That thing was turnt up!” Flame boasted of the show. “I’mma keep it gangsta, I was nervous. I was like, ‘Are they gonna mess with me? They gonna throw bottles?’ But it was crazy. I jumped in the crowd, I walked around in the club. I was in the Lou, turnt up.” Related Artists Waka Flocka Flame

Lil Wayne And Eminem’s ‘Drop The World’ Video Is ‘Just Energy,’ Director Says

‘You got two guys who are basically huge supernovas coming together,’ Chris Robinson tells MTV News. By Jayson Rodriguez Lil Wayne and Eminem perform at the 2010 Grammy Awards Photo: Michael Caulfield/ WireImage Lil Wayne feverishly filmed a series of music videos in the weeks leading up to what he thought would be his last day of freedom two weeks ago, before dental surgery postponed his prison sentence . Director David Rousseau told MTV News that the Cash Money superstar recorded up to nine videos in one weekend, though most were in front of a green screen so his image could be added later to the finished clips. One video the rapper was on the set for, however, was his upcoming clip with Eminem for “Drop the World.” The collaboration between the two esteemed MCs is the next single from Wayne’s Rebirth album. The pair performed a snippet of the track at last month’s Grammy Awards . Chris Robinson directed the “Drop the World” video and told MTV News on Tuesday (February 23) that the shoot — featuring the two heavyweight MCs — was comparable to a movie set. “As a director, it’s how do you, more than anything, combine these two artists together and create something that’s special,” he explained. “Because when you have two artists together, it’s like, ‘Oh, they’ll stand next to each other [and that’s it].’ It’s very awkward sometimes to have two very big stars. How are you gonna cover that? Especially two artists that are so big. You can do that with a performance at the Grammys, because the spectacle is to watch them onstage and sit in the audience and look at it. But as an artistic piece to have some magic, or if it’s a mood piece or whatever way you communicate the music, you have to take two people into consideration with how you do that. And for me, I almost take it like a feature film: How did Scorsese put Jack Nicholson and Leonardo DiCaprio in the same movie?” The clip was filmed on the eve of the Grammys, Robinson said. It was a one-day shoot, and Wayne was on the set for upward of 14 hours. As of press time, no details regarding the premiere are available. The “Drop the World” video is still being edited, Robinson said. It’s likely the director will complete the final clip by the top of next week. Wayne is scheduled to begin his one-year jail sentence in New York on March 2 after undergoing eight root canals . Robinson wouldn’t reveal the premise of the video, but he promised the clip would match the song’s intensity. “You got two guys who are basically huge supernovas coming together, and the way that the song is constructed is great,” he said. “Because unless you see it coming, you don’t know Eminem is on the track. The first two hooks and the first two verses are all Wayne, and it’s kind of a surprise when Eminem comes through, and we matched it visually how Eminem enters the piece. From the concept and to just hearing the lyrics, with both of these amazing lyricists killing it, the whole video is just energy.” Related Artists Lil Wayne Eminem
