Jinger Duggar STUNS Fans With Gorgeous Dress in Wedding Snap

While her sister Jill Duggar is finally realizing that kids will ruin your life , Jinger has been more or less living it up in California. For the first time in her life, she can make her own clothing choices, even if that means wearing “skimpy” outfits that her dad would hate. Jinger has great taste. In a new wedding photo, she is stunning fans with her style. And Jeremy and Felicity don’t look half-bad, either. “I love Autumn weddings,” Jinger Duggar Vuolo proclaims in the caption of this touching family photo. Here, we see Jinger wearing a navy blue dress. What it covers in sleeves it makes up for in skirt length, and the lower hem leaves Jinger’s knees exposed even when she’s standing. The platforms in her sandals give her diminutive height a bit of a boost, though she’s still considerably shorter than Jeremy. Her hair remains blonde — a move that continues to shock some longtime Duggar fans to their cores. The family of three flew out from California to a familiar state, Texas. There, they were guests of two friends, Cade Foehner and Gabby Barrett, as they tied the knot. Cade and Gabby actually competed against each other in Season 16 of American Idol . While both couples have been friends for some time, Jinger and Jeremy were more than simple guests. Jeremy actually officiated the wedding, as well, which had a very rustic motif (as you may be able to tell by the old wood background, above). It shouldn’t really come as a surprise that Jinger and Jeremy are good friends with Cade and Gabby. Though it’s believed that the two couples only started hanging out early this year, they have a very close bond. Both couples share a strong sense of religious adherence (all involved are Christians). And both couples participate in similar ministries. Jeremy has previously joked on social media that Cade and Gabby were grooming him and Jinger to perform as a musical duo. It was a joke. It’s also notable that Gabby gets along very well with adorable little Felicity. It’s not clear when (or if) Cade and Gabby intend to welcome a child of their own. But we could see how cute little Felicity could ignite a baby fever in just about anyone. In the mean time, fans are singing the praises of Jinger’s sense of style and fashion. She wore such a tasteful, beautiful dress to her friends’ wedding. And it’s just the sort of thing that her parents would never have dreamt of allowing her to wear. Some fans have wondered if, between Jinger’s move to California and her husband’s beliefs about dress codes, Jinger is straying from her family. While it’s possible that her dressing like a human being and not like a pile of wrinkled earth tones has raised some eyebrows … … We should keep in mind that Jinger isn’t really “straying.” According to the Duggar fertility cult’s beliefs, daughters are their father’s property until they are traded off to an approved husband. So even if Jim Bob believes that seeing a woman’s shin is tantamount to motorboating her, it’s officially Jeremy’s “call” how Jinger dresses. And Jeremy is firmly of the belief that his savior has bigger priorities than who is wearing shorts. Jinger Duggar: Planning to Defy Parents By Celebrating Halloween?

Jinger Duggar has developed a well-earned reputation as the most rebellious of all the Duggar daughters. The mother of one lives a pretty tame lifestyle by most standards, but she’s parted with her parents’ views in a number of significant ways. For example,  Jinger’s decision to wear pants in violation of her family’s dress code might receive the most attention, but that’s just one of many ways in which she’s strayed from Jim Bob’s belief system. First, Jinger married Jeremy Vuolo , a man her father openly disapproved of. Recently, Jinger and Jeremy moved to Los Angeles , which again, might not seem like the kind of thing that would create a rift in the family. But LA is a long way from Tontitown, Arkansas in more ways than one. And Jinger’s decision to relocate to a bastion of West Coast liberalism created such a stir that insiders are claiming she’s been disowned by Jim Bob and Michelle . We don’t know if the situation has really gotten that bad, but we do know that Jinger seems less and less concerned with her parents’ arbitrary rules. As we were reminded last week, the Duggars don’t celebrate Halloween . “From the beginning of our marriage, we just kind of felt like we didn’t want to celebrate that holiday. But we enjoy the harvest celebration,” Michelle wrote on her blog. “Our church fellowship has had different celebrations through the years that we’ve been a part of, ones where the children can play games and receive candy and toys and do all kinds of fun things, like a cake walk,” she continued. No real surprise there. After all, if it’s fun, the Duggars are generally opposed to fun of any kind, and day that celebrates devils, witches, and ghosts seem like the sort of thing that would leave Michelle clutching her crucifix. But based on the most recent pic of Jinger’s daughter, Felicity (below), it seems the Vuolos might be more accepting of traditional Halloween celebrations. Jeremy is much more liberal than Jinger’s parents, but the couple still subscribes to a very old school, evangelical belief system. In other words, he’ll be the one to decide if Felicity gets to go trick-or-treating one day. And fans think he just might allow it. “I could see Jeremy going either way on the topic,” one follower commented on Jinger’s pumpkin pic. “I hope she puts Felicity in the most scandalous costume imaginable… I want biker chick,” another remarked. We don’t know about that part — but it does seem like Jinger is bracing her parents for yet another minor act of defiance. Derick Dillard: Just Get Over How I Bullied Jazz Jennings!

Notorious bigot Derick Dillard’s transphobia is so intense that it tanked his reality career. Some of his fans hope that he might express some degree of regret — or maybe even apologize — for verbally attacking a teenage girl. Instead, Derick says that people should just “get over it already.” Ugh. “QUESTION: What do you consider to be the most pressing civil rights questions?” Derick asked his followers on Twitter. It’s not the right question to ask, since no single issue can be tackled alone. Civil rights work has to be intersectional or it does little good. “Thank you!” Derick replied to a no-longer-available tweet. “There’s no right answer; I’m just interested in what people feel are the biggest issues.” “I agree with you,” he then affirmed to his follower. “That we should always treat everyone with dignity and fairness.” “Great!” replies another tweet, who then asks Derick: “So you can now apologize to @JazzJennings, right?” Instead of ignoring the tweet or replying “hey, that’s a good idea,” he instead doubled down on his general awfulness. “Oh get over it already,” Derick demanded. He wrote: “Any comments were directed @TLC and the parents.” “I love @JazzJennings,” he claimed, all evidence to the contrary. Then, in a sentence that would be random if you didn’t know how his twisted mind works, he concluded: “We have got to protect children!” See, Derick Dillard thinks that Jazz Jennings’ parents are “abusing” her by accepting and affirming who she is. While it’s absurd and insulting for anyone to claim that, it’s almost comical coming from someone who married into the Duggar family. Even before Josh’s molestation scandal was uncovered, the Duggars were notorious for their monstrously abusive parenting practices. In the mean time, Jazz’s parents simply let her be herself from a young age, giving her love and emotional support. But to Derick’s distorted worldview, a “good” parent would force their child to live out a lie that matches whatever was scribbled on their birth certificate. In August of 2017, totally out of the blue, Derick took to Twitter to rail against TLC for the show, I Am Jazz . I Am Jazz has followed Jazz Jennings for years as she experiences her teenage years. Jazz is very fortunate in that her family has been supportive of her gender since she was very young. She’s always know that she is a girl. She was also able to undergo bottom surgery — the term for genital alteration, sometimes known as gender confirmation surgery. Not all trans folks experience enough dysphoria to get bottom surgery (or have the money to afford it if they wanted to), but Jazz underwent that in 2018. TLC’s cameras followed Jazz through that part of her journey — and that’s part of why Derick thinks that the show is “bad.” Even though trans folks have existed across numerous cultures for thousands of years, Derick thinks that hiding their existence from kids will magically stop kids from being trans. That’s not a surprising point of view — his ilk have been saying the same about gay and bi people for generations. It’s not true for htem, either. What really happens when you raise your kids in a bubble where they don’t know about LGBTQ+ folks is that kids who are think something’s wrong with them. Some will go into denial. Others will live with their secret for decades, feeling misplaced shame over who they are. Either Derick would prefer that minorities remain silent, invisible, and miserable … or he really thinks that they just hear of trans people existing and go “oh, I’ll try that for fun.” So no, Derick, people are not going to “get over” your clownish transphobia. It got you fired and it got you hated, and you deserve both. View Slideshow: Jazz Jennings Dismisses Derick Dillard: Who Cares What He Says?!?

Lauren Swanson: I’m SO Different From the Other Duggar Wives!

At this point, the Duggars are so famous that even people who marry into the family become minor celebrities. Of course, not every new spouse is thrilled with that development. Take Lauren Swanson, for example. Lauren married Josiah Duggar  over a year ago but thus far, she’s managed to keep a lower profile than most Duggar partners. Those who know Swanson best say that’s no accident. To say that Lauren is a bit more shy than your typical reality star would be a massive understatement. In her first video messages to fans — posted shortly after she and Josiah got engaged — Swanson spoke so quietly that many fans openly wondered if she were concealing some sort of speech impediment. (The denizens of Duggar nation are not always a kindly bunch.) To this day most fans know very little about Lauren — but that changed this week, when the mom-to-be posted a list of 11 facts about herself on Instagram. Some of the facts aren’t exactly jaw-droppers. Lauren kicks things off by revealing with that she loves Jesus with her “whole heart,” and she “grew up in central GA on a little farm”  Important parts of her life, no doubt, but nothing that’s likely to take anyone by surprise. After the introductory items, however, Lauren’s list actually gets interesting. “I am a quarter hispanic (and no I am not fluent in Spanish, but I wish I was),” Swanson continued. “My middle name (Milagro) is in Spanish, it means Miracle.” So, maybe the Duggars aren’t the whitest family in the world anymore? (Just kidding, they still are.) From there, Lauren revealed that she’s known Josiah for much longer than previously thought. “Met the Duggar family in 2010, at the ATI conference in Big Sandy, TX (so yes, I watched Josiah grow up; I remember him as the funny/talkative little kid),” she wrote. And here’s where it really gets interesting — it seems Lauren was very nearly a career woman: “I went to college when I was 16 and finished my Associate’s degree in Nursing at 18,” she wrote.  Next on the list was an equally, though considerably less impressive revelation: “My secret talent is yodeling,” she wrote. From there on out, its pretty standard stuff — Lauren plays piano and digs interior design, but her favorite pastime is hanging out with Josiah. But still — nursing, yodeling, interests that don’t involve Jesus and housework? Seems that Lauren may have a richer interior life than some folks gave her credit for. For years, we’ve been hearing that despite all of the hype about Jinger, Josiah is the real Duggar rebel , the one who resists his father’s influence at every turn. And what better way to rebel against Jim Bob than to marry a woman with no interest in being enslaved by a patriarchal cult? Demi Lovato Posts Unedited Bikini Pic: I’m CelluLIT, Bishes!

It’s possible that no pop star in history has displayed more candor and openness over the course of their career than Demi Lovato. But it seems that despite admirable confessions about her substance abuse issues and eating disorders, the singer hasn’t always been completely honest with her fans — and she’s trying to correct that now. Back in May,  Demi posted some bikini pics  from her vacation to Bora Bora. But it seems those photos didn’t tell the whole story. Last night, in one of her most candid Instagram posts to date, Lovato revealed that the images had been retouched. She then revealed an unedited pic from the same vacation along with a lengthy caption describing her mindset: “This is my biggest fear. A photo of me in a bikini unedited. And guess what, it’s CELLULIT!!!!” Demi wrote. “I’m just literally sooooo tired of being ashamed of my body, editing it (yes the other bikini pics were edited – and I hate that I did that but it’s the truth) so that others think I’m THEIR idea of what beautiful is, but it’s just not me. This is what I got,” the 27-year-old added. “Here’s me, unashamed, unafraid and proud to own a body that has fought through so much and will continue to amaze me when I hopefully give birth one day.  “It’s such a great feeling to be back in tv/film while not stressing myself with a strenuous workout schedule before 14 hour days, or depriving myself from a real birthday cake rather than opting for watermelon & whip cream with candles because I was terrified of REAL cake and was miserable on some crazy diet shit.” (The “back on TV” comment seems to refer to Demi’s recurring role on the new season of Will & Grace .) “I’m not stoked on my appearance BUT I am appreciative of it and sometimes that’s the best I can do. I hope to inspire someone to appreciate their body today too,” she concluded. She added the hashtags: “#nationalcelulliteday #celluLIT” Is National Cellulite Day really a thing? It is now, muh f–kas! Of course, as many commenters have pointed out, Demi still possesses many of the qualities prized by Superficial America. In fact, if you subscribe to the Sir Mix-a-Lot school of aesthetics (and really, who doesn’t?), you may find this photo more appealing that Demi’s previous bikini pics . Really, what we’re looking at is an embarrassment of riches, and to some folks, Demi’s confessional caption might inspire about as much sympathy as the guy who complains that the vast estate he inherited in his youth often made him feel alienated from his peers. Still, our insecurities are our insecurities, and the effort to confront them head-on should always be applauded. Of course, Demi might not need any applause, as it appears she has no difficulty making it clap. We’ll show ourselves out. Duggar Family: Still Abusing Kids With Parenting Methods?

Whether you're a fan of Counting On or you simply watch the Duggars from a safe distance out of morbid curiosity, you have some sense of who and what you're dealing with. Put another way, you're probably aware that the family's belief system, and by extension, their child-rearing methods have been a frequent source of controversy. Practices such as ” blanket training ” and other forms of systematic abuse have led to calls for boycotts and even demands for a full CPS investigation in the past. But the Duggars have refused to shy away or even issue a public apology, which isn't surprising – and now it looks like these lessons are being handed down. According to a report from In Touch Weekly , it looks as though the torch is being passed from one generation to the next, in disturbing fashion. Are Jim Bob and Michelle's grown children now  practicing the same techniques that were used to quite literally whip them into shape in their own youth? Understandably, fans are terrified that this continued behavior and methodology may eventually result in someone paying the ultimate price. 1. The Originators Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar have strict views on child-rearing and family hierarchies that were formed in part by their involvement with the unfortunately-named Bill Gothard’s Institute for Basic Life Principles. 2. The Fallen Idol Those who follow Gothard may now that he got what was coming to him. He is now a disgraced former minister who was drummed out his own organization after being accused of abuse and sexual assault by dozens of employees. 3. The Stubborn Ones Despite the scandal, and attempts to distance themselves from him from an image standpoint, Jim Bob and Michelle have remained true to Gothard’s teachings, including two beliefs that have attracted a considerable amount of criticism in recent years. 4. Full Quivers Gothard is the originator of the Quiverfull Movement, which holds and practices the belief that women are put on this planet for the sole purpose of birthing as many children as possible. 5. A Dangerous Proposition This isn’t a vaguely-defined “the bigger family, the better” sort of deal. According to Gothard’s teachings, women are to continue having children until they literally cannot bear any more of them. That means they are expected to conceive well into middle-age, regardless of threats to their health or the health of their offspring. 6. Casting Pearls Before Swine It was also Gothard who directed Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar to the controversial teachings of self-proclaimed child-rearing experts Debi and Michael Pearl. Anna Duggar Criticized By Fans For Suggesting "Girls Night" With Guys Away Doing Hurricane Relief

As we reported earlier this week, several members of the Duggar family are  in the Bahamas assisting in hurricane relief efforts . Sounds admirable enough at first, but like everything the Duggars do, the rescue mission has become a source of controversy. The official Duggar Instagram account (operated by Jim Bob and Michelle) announced the trip by posting the above photo. Their caption read: “John, Jana, Jason, and James took off early this morning with a medical and disaster relief team to the Bahamas to help after the massive devastation from #HurricaneDorian.” The  Duggars’ efforts were criticized from the start for two distinct reasons: For one, many questioned the decision to leave Jana Duggar out of the photo, despite the fact that she took part in the trip. That’s upsetting enough. On top of that, the Duggars have been blasted online for their lack of training, as several fans have pointed out that there’s not a rescue professional in the bunch. Moreover, it seems they founded their own rescue organization for the trip – something they’ve called Medic Corp – rather than simply joining up with the Red Cross or another well-established organization. This could be because they feared they’d be turned away for their lack of training and experience. Or it might be because Medic Corp was created with a profit or tax-incentive motive in mind. Either way, it’s troubling. Still, the Duggars deserve credit for their willingness to roll up their sleeves and get to work rebuilding the battered Bahamas. Right? And fans should definitely lay off Anna Duggar for recent, innocent comments she made about their efforts. Anna is pregnant with her sixth child , so she obviously didn’t participate in the rescue effort herself, but she’s been offering words of support on social media. “Keep praying for those that have been affected by this terrible hurricane,” she wrote. She later commented on posts made by her sisters-in-law, writing: “And [pray for] all of the people that have gone down to do relief work!” and “Praying for the group.” All of those comments went mostly unnoticed, of course. When Anna announced her plans to “have a girls night while the guys are away!” however, some of her followers became upset. Yes, apparently, a number of ultra-sensitive Instagram users felt that it was inappropriate of Anna to use the hurricane as an excuse to have fun. We guess we would agree if that’s what she were doing – but she’s not. Would these critics have the same objection to a bunch of military wives getting together while their husbands are overseas?  We think not. What’s really going on here is that a lot of folks simply don’t like Anna, ever, because she’s still married to Josh Duggar . We totally understand that, don’t get us wrong – but let’s try to focus our hate on Josh, where it belongs, mmmkay? Kthxbai. Derick Dillard Reveals Love of Notorious B.I.G. on Instagram; Fans Lose Their Freakin’ Minds

We probably don’t need to tell you that many, many things are banned in the Duggar family. Pre-marital physical contact , certain types of clothing, any food that won’t instantly harden your arteries and/or doesn’t include Tater Tots as a main ingredient … the list goes on and on. High on the Jim Bob’s list of harmless diversions that’ll earn you a pitchfork where the sun don’t shine in the afterlife is secular entertainment. In JB’s mind, there’s one reason and one reason only to write a song — and that’s to praise Jesus. In fact, we’re pretty sure that’s Jim Bob’s only approved reason for doing anything. So you can imagine the patriarch’s chagrin upon learning that his kids have been tuning their radios to 66.6 Satan FM. It started with the revelation that Jana Duggar enjoys listening to Michael Buble. We literally can’t think of anything less dangerous than Jana Duggar rocking out to Michael Buble, but like we said, Jim Bob makes Ned Flanders look like Ozzy Osbourne. Anyway, from there, things escalated rapidly. Next thing we knew Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard were taking their kids to see Toy Story 4 , which — if we recall — doesn’t have a single crucifixion scene in it. Now, JB’s worst nightmare has come to life, as Derick has expressed a fondness for the hippity-hop. D-Dilly posted the above photo this week, along with the following caption: “I love it when they call me big papa… ha love hangin with these two, even if it might not always seem the most productive. “It’ll pay off in the end. I love them and how inquisitive they always are about the world around them.” Again, incredibly innocuous — until you consider the fact that Derick’s opening line is a reference to a song by the Notorious B.I.G., a man who is literally the exact opposite of Jim Bob Duggar. Believe it or not, this isn’t the first time that a member of the whitest, most rural family on the planet has expressed an affection for a genre of music that was born in black urban communities. Jessa Duggar’s husband Ben Seewald loves hip hop and he even interviewed Christian rappers on his short-lived YouTube series. Although come to think of it, Jim Bob’s disapproval of his content may have been part of the reason that Ben’s show didn’t last very long. Better be careful, Der! You’re never too old to lose your Instagram privileges! View Slideshow: Jill Duggar & Derick Dillard: Here’s Why Fans Think They’re Getting Divorced

Joy-Anna Duggar & Austin Forsyth: Was Their Marriage Arranged By Jim Bob?

It's been over two years since Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth married in the sort of lavish, massively-attended ceremony for which their family has become known. And it seems as though the young couple has been enjoying a life of quiet domestic bliss ever since. Though  Joy recently suffered a miscarriage , insiders say Austin has been a tremendous source of support. The 25-year-old is making a way for himself in one of the few career fields Jim Bob approves of (real estate). But there's reason to believe that when they first met, Joy and Austin were not so thrilled with the idea of exchanging vows. In fact, many fans believe that Joy was forced to marry Austin by heir overbearing fathers. Here's everything we know about the situation – and Austin's surprisingly controversial father – so far: 1. The Not-So-Happy Couple? Joy and Austin’s wedding looked just like every other Duggar ceremony. But one major difference may have been the fact that the couple wasn’t at the altar by choice, 2. The Duggars’ Version The “official” account of Joy and Austin’s courtship is more than a little creepy, but it’s one the Duggars have been repeating for years. 3. Do the Math According to that version, Joy and Austin met through the church (of course), and there was an instant attraction between them … despite the fact that Austin was four years Joy’s senior. 4. Yikes Not a big deal now that they’re adults, but considering Joy and Austin grew up attending the same church, they were probably pretty young the first time they laid eyes on one another. 5. The Wait Is Over Thankfully, Joy and Austin held off on starting a romantic relationship until after she turned 18. But that doesn’t mean they were able to avoid controversy. 6. Or Is It? As you probably know, the Duggars have strict rules governing romantic relationships. The most famous of which is that virtually all forms of physical contact among non-married couples are prohibited. View Slideshow

Jim Bob Duggar on Hurricane Dorian: I’m Sending My Sons to Fix the Bahamas!

Duggar fans and critics alike have long suspected that Jim Bob forces his sons to work for him to maintain a measure of control over them. This time, at least, those sons are going to work for what looks like a good cause. Several of the Duggar men are in the Bahamas, preparing to provide disaster relief after Dorian. But this may be more controversial than intended. Joy-Anna Duggar, fresh off of being shamed for how she holds hands , took to Instagram to give fans a major update. “Austin just arrived down in the Bahamas with @mediccorps,” she revealed. Joy-Anna shared a Mediccorps photo of an array of Duggars. She explained: “They will be some of the first on scene to help with disaster relief after Hurricane Dorian.” You can see their photo below: Joy-Anna then asked a favor of her fans and followers. “Please pray for all of the people who have been affected by this terrible hurricane,” she implored them. “And,” she asked, won’t they please pray also for the “safety for our medic team.” She wants her husband to come home safe, naturally. “To find out how you can pray or support,” Joy-Anna concluded. “Please follow @mediccorps or click on the link in my bio.” So which Duggars headed down south, exactly? Obviously, Austin was one of them. But so were John David, Jason, and James. Interesting enough, it looks like Jana also headed down, though so far it looks like she’s been tasked with taking photos. The Duggars are among familiars faces who aren’t family. Both Lawson and Nathan of Bringing Up Bates are also volunteering with Mediccorps. A lot of fans instantly had questions about what exactly makes these dudes qualified to provide emergency relief. Abbie Duggar is actually a registered nurse, but she did not accompany John David on the flight south. There’s a very good reason for that — she’s pregnant. With a due date this winter, she doesn’t need to be traipsing off to disaster zones, even with the best intentions. We’ll get into the concerns that people have about the people who are going in just a moment. The estimated cost of this “short-term rescue mission” by Mediccorps is about $20,000. In general, people in developing countries benefit less from someone traveling to them than they would if one simply sent them the money for the trip. It’s unclear if that is true for disaster relief or if feet on the ground do more good. Regardless, the Mediccorps site claims that they can provide helicopter rescue and medical transport and deploy first-responders. Above all else, Mediccorps is a devoutly Christian organization and their statements and reading material emphasizing faith in Jesus. People have serious concerns about the Duggar boys not necessarily being prepared to help people in need beyond giving them transportation. (There has been discourse back and forth about who may actually be qualified to provide aid) The family — well, Jim Bob — is also accused of sending them on this trip for publicity for their failing reality careers. Many have concerns that Mediccorp is more interested in preaching to survivors than anything else. Rescuing people is well and good, but most would say that rescuing them with an ulterior motive isn’t a great thing to do. View Slideshow: Jana Duggar: REAL Reason She’s Still Single Revealed?!
