Due to his fowl behavior, this is anything but a pleasant Thanksgiving for Gabriel Aubry, as Halle Berry’s ex got into it this morning with Halle Berry’s fiance, actor Olivier Martinez . According to TMZ sources, Aubry arrived at Berry’s residence to drop off the couple’s daughter, Nahla, and simply “went nuts.” It’s unclear what preceded the fisticuffs, but Aubry got into a brawl with Martinez and ended up in the hospital. He was later arrested for battery. Berry and others were allegedly present for the fight, which Martinez appeared to win. How do we know? He didn’t go to the hospital. Aubry and Berry battled in court for many months because the latter wanted to move to France with Martinez and Nahla . The judge’s response? NON ! So at least Aubry came out on top of one battle between these turkeys. UPDATE : Insiders now tell TMZ that Martinez KNOCKED AUBRY UNCONSCIOUS and that Berry will likely seek a protective order against her ex, in relation to herself, Olivier and Nahla.
Happy Thanksgiving to all from The Hollywood Gossip! What would this holiday be without family, food, football and reflection upon the things we appreciate most … in the case of THG, that means turkeys of a different sort. On this 22nd of November, we’re paying tribute to stars we had the honor and the burden of covering in 2012. We are talking fowl individuals here … real bird brains. Without further ado, THG’s Top 10 Turkeys of 2012 … Who will win the Sixth Annual Spencer Pratt Thanksgiving Turkey Award!? 10. Mitt Romney and Courtney Stodden (tie) . One’s a relentless fame whore married to a man three times her age. The other cost himself a good shot at the presidency thanks to 47 percent -style gaffes and never deciding what kind of candidate he felt like being. Really, we just wanted to make web history with the first-ever use of Mitt Romney and Courtney Stodden in the same sentence. 9. Taylor Armstrong and Lance Armstrong (tie) . Two Armstrongs, each shameless in their own way. 8. Hulk Hogan . Previously best known for body slamming opponents to the mat, the man with the self-proclaimed largest pythons in the world continues to make headlines for having body pumped Heather Clem to the bed on video with his elderly one-eyed snake. We know: EWWW. 7. Kris Humphries . As if marrying Kim Kardashian were not deplorable enough, he refuses to officially pull the plug on the union, alleging he was somehow duped into falling for the talent-free reality star. Seriously, this guy sucks. 6. Chris Brown . For some reason, people can’t move past his 2009 assault on Rihanna. NOTE: That reason is Chris Brown’s continued obnoxiousness. 5. NHL Players . Ah, the segment of the 1% that elects not to work. Idiots. The only thing worse than being locked out? No one noticing or caring. 4. Kris Jenner . Call her an entertainment mogul. Call her a mom-ager. Call her a she-pimp for her own evil spawn. By any name, she’s an embarrassment. 3. Jenelle Evans . Setting a new high water mark for TV fights, tumultuous relationships (Kieffer Delp, Gary Head, Courtland Rogers ) and crazy arrests earns a top three spot. 2. Lindsay Lohan . Girl gets into legal jams like it’s her job. Anyone else with a rap sheet that long would be getting a good stuffing today … IN JAIL!! 1. Donald Trump . The king of PR stunts and Obama rants wins the top turkey trophy because of his repeated attempts to insert himself into the national political discourse, and the complete and utter rejection of his “ideas” by Americans across the political spectrum. Who said the electorate was always polarized? Everyone’s signing the Dump Trump Macy’s petition ! Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at THG!!!!
MSNBC’s Chris Hayes sparked major controversy and debate when he said that he felt uncomfortable using the word “hero ” for members of the U.S. military. Hayes’ point was that the word is inadvertently used to start more potentially unjust wars – not unreasonable – but now says his own word choice was poor. After speaking with a former Marine whose job it was to notify families of the death of soldiers, he said that while he means no disrespect to those who serve us all, the word “seems to be rhetorically proximate to justifications for more war.” Chris Hayes Asks: Are Military Men Heroes? Hayes also said that, on the flip side, it is “noble” to join the military. While a “liberal caricature” like himself would not truly understand “submitting so totally to what the electorate or people in power are going to decide about using your body,” Hayes conceded, he saw valor in it. Nevertheless, Hayes’ words, on Memorial Day of all days, caused a predictable furor with some. He issued a statement Monday apologizing for his comments: In discussing the uses of the word “hero” to describe those members of the armed forces who have given their lives, I don’t think I lived up to the standards of rigor, respect and empathy for those affected by the issues we discuss that I’ve set for myself. I am deeply sorry for that . As many have rightly pointed out, it’s very easy for me, a TV host, to opine about the people who fight our wars, having never dodged a bullet or guarded a post or walked a mile in their boots. Of course, that is true of the overwhelming majority of our nation’s citizens as a whole. One of the points made during Sunday’s show was just how removed most Americans are from the wars we fight, how small a percentage of our population is asked to shoulder the entire burden and how easy it becomes to never read the names of those who are wounded and fight and die, to not ask questions about the direction of our strategy in Afghanistan, and to assuage our own collective guilt about this disconnect with a pro-forma ritual that we observe briefly before returning to our barbecues. But in seeking to discuss the civilian-military divide and the social distance between those who fight and those who don’t, I ended up reinforcing it, conforming to a stereotype of a removed pundit whose views are not anchored in the very real and very wrenching experience of this long decade of war. And for that I am truly sorry .
With Jon Huntsman’s two votes doubling Ron Paul’s one in New Hampshire’s first-reporting Dixville Notch , the latest wave of media attempts to downplay the significance of the nearly or more than 20 percent of the electorate who seem interested in voting for the supposedly unquestionably unelectable and confusingly ideological Ron Paul is now about Jon Huntsman (who swept the early “earnestly intellectual… Broadcasting platform : YouTube Source : Reason Magazine – Hit & Run Discovery Date : 10/01/2012 04:04 Number of articles : 2
Some viewers of Sunday’s Republican debate remarked that the coverage of said debate sorely lacked for Ron Paul, who is running second in New Hampshire polls. With that in mind, we present a video montage that should more than make up for that – highlights from Sunday morning’s NBC/Facebook debate, Ron Paul style! Despite being more or less dismissed by many pundits as having no chance at the White House, Paul finished a strong third in Iowa and may top that in New Hampshire. His message strikes a chord with a motivated section of the electorate. The only question is whether he can grow it. Check out some of the candidate’s answers Sunday: GOP Debate Highlights: Ron Paul Edition!

The liberal media are generally fond of touting European countries for their liberal domestic policies, chastising America by comparison for being too conservative. But when the electorate of such a country votes to institute a strong conservative policy over the objections of its political elite, the media's fascination with the European everyman evaporates. Take Sunday's vote by Swiss citizens to institute a referendum requiring foreigners convicted of serious crimes to be expelled from the country after serving out their sentences. Fifty-three percent of voters approved the bill, dismissing the objections of their professional political class who urged “no” votes. Covering the story, the Christian Science Monitor decried the move as “the latest example of a sweeping set of popular antiforeigner measures around Europe”: read more
MRC Director of Media Analysis Tim Graham appeared on Saturday morning’s Fox & Friends to discuss the emerging examples of liberal “mainstream” media meltdown over the Democrats being abandoned by the voters – and how the public is now a collection of “spoiled” brats , according to liberal talk show host Bill Press. Fox also highlighted Washington Post columnist/blogger Ezra Klein suggesting the voters are “schizophrenic” when they say they trust Democrats more on issues like the economy, and then say they’ll be voting for Republicans in the fall. What the Post actually found is the full sample trusted Democrats more, 42 to 34, but among likely voters it was 40 percent trusted Republicans more to 39 percent Democrat. Tim suggested Press and others were already sounding life the aftermath of the 1994 elections, when then-ABC anchorman issued a radio commentary denouncing the country being a “nation of uncontrolled two-year-old rage.” (Audio here .) As Tim said, Press was so unhappy with the current mood of the electorate that he said neither Abraham Lincoln nor Franklin Roosevelt could govern this bitter crowd. Democrats are starting to look like losers, and perhaps dramatic losers. This could be a remarkable year to mock the folks who suggested “reality has a liberal bias.” The shoe is on the other foot, and liberals look like the ones denying reality, insisting the economy is terrific, the Gulf will soon by squeaky-clean, and their political fortunes are fantastic.
The fate of Senate Majority Leader—and favorite punching bag of tea party types—Harry Reid may hang in the balance during this year’s election cycle, and Tuesday’s vote in his home state of Nevada is just one of 11 primaries happening on the same day. Thankfully, The New York Times has cobbled together a useful guide to primaries around the nation.
Representative Joe Sestak (D-PA) waves to supporters as his carries his 9-year-old daughter Alex alongside his wife Susan Clark-Sestak after declaring victory over Senator Arlen Specter (D-PA) in the U.S. Senate democratic primary election at the Valley Forge Military Academy in Wayne, Pennsylvania, May 18, 2010. With the electorate#39;s intense anger reverberating across the country, this is all but certain: It#39;s an anti-Washington, anti-establishment year. And candidates with ties to eithe

On Tuesday the 18th of April 2010 the voters showed their wrath in Primary Elections 2010. Joe Sestak stood against Senator Arlen Specter.
