Jade Cline Gets Roasted By Teen Mom Fans: You’re Selling Sex, Just Like Farrah!

Jade Cline is still relatively new to the world of Teen Mom stardom. After starring in a single season of Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant, Cline was selected to replace Jenelle Evans on Teen Mom 2 after Evans was finally fired. So while, she’s been in the spotlight for a couple years, Jade just experienced a major boost to her public profile. Going from a first-year spinoff to a popular, long-running series like Teen Mom 2 is like being called up to the majors. As a result, Jade is making more money, and she’s more popular than ever on social media. That may sound like an unimportant side effect of fame, but the increased following brings with it the opportunity to make big bucks from sponsored content. Unfortunately, it also means Jade has more haters than ever before. And these days, she’s being compared to one of the most reviled Teen Moms of all time — Farrah Abraham. During her time on Teen Mom OG, Farrah continued to perform in online sex shows , a decision that eventually got her fired from the show. (In reality, she was probably canned because producers were sick of being abused by her, but the Cam Soda partnership provided a convenient excuse.) Now, Jade is being accused of following in Farrah’s footsteps by partnering with an adult toy company. On Thursday, Cline invited her fans to enter a giveaway for a chance to win three free vibrators. “Hey guys! I’ll be partnering with [Vush] this week to put together an amazing giveaway bundle to one of my followers! Stay tuned! Will be posting the giveaway and how to enter this week on my page,”  Cline later offered specifics — along with the photo below, in which she can be seen showing off Vush’s wares. “3x Vibrator bundles from Vush to 3 lucky people in the comment section,” Jade wrote. “Each bundle includes The Empress, Your Majesty and The Rose! ($400 value per bundle).” For reasons that aren’t entirely clear, this promotion left some of Jade’s followers deeply irritated. “The next Farrah,” wrote one commenter. “I actually thought u were one of the good moms…” another remarked. “Wtf! Another Farrah in the making!” another echoed. “Y’all really have to come up with better insults,” Cline replied. She’s right about that. For one, there’s a major difference between what Farrah did (making a career in the adult film business and falsely claiming that her debut feature was a privately-filmed “sex tape”) and what Jade is doing — which is just a slight variation on what most reality stars do on their social media pages. From the start, Jade was upfront about the whole thing. Rather than attempt to Trojan Horse in ad into what appears to be a regular post, she stated at the outset that she’s promoting products for Vush. There’s no sneakiness involved, so is it really just the nature of the products that has people pissed off? WTF? Is Jade starring on Teen Mom 2 or Counting On? Fortunately, Cline has received a good deal of support from fans who aren’t embarrassing prudes. “People act like they have never seen a sex toy before,” one fan remarked. We couldn’t have said it better ourselves. View Slideshow: Jade Cline vs. Ashley Jones: Brawl Breaks Out at Teen Mom 2 Reunion!

Gladys Knight Sings the National Anthem: Grade It!

So… how did she do? Following several days of controversy over her decision to sing the national anthem prior to the Super Bowl between the New England Patriots and Los Angeles Rams, Gladys Knight stood around midfield and belted out the country's theme song. She was dressed in all-white and a trio of jets buzzed over the stadium during her final note, while the crowd in Atlanta gave Knight a rousing ovation. But was it deserved? Did Knight do enough to silence the critics who thought she shouldn't have agreed to the performance in the first place? These folks believed Knight should have turned down the offer due to the NFL's treatment of Colin Kaepernick, a topic she addressed late last week. “I am proud to use my voice to unite and represent our country in my hometown of Atlanta. “The NFL recently announced their new social justice platform Inspire Change, and I am honored to be a part of its inaugural year.” On the Today Show on January 31, she added: “I can only say how much I feel … about the country itself and my family, and like I said, those family members of mine that are risking their lives and their futures … to make this a better world, not just a country. “So I felt like I could do my part.” After agreeing intially, Knight – known as the Empress of Soul -also reflected on the honor in an NFL video released at the time. She said the following: “I hope that this anthem will touch people in a different way. We’ve been singing it forever, but this time I would hope that [people] will feel it so deeply that it will lift them to a higher place. That’s what I feel when I sing this song. “This is who we are, this is how we are and this is what we do. Get ready, Atlanta. I’m coming home!” So, that's the background to the performance. As for the performance itself? Give it a grade below: AND WATCH IT HERE!

Take That, Take That! Hair Care Company Sues Diddy After He “Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop” Ganking Their Name For Empress Fragrance

Hot damn, Diddy did it again. Not everyone thinks Sean (Diddy) Combs rules. The hip-hop star and entrepreneur has been hit with a lawsuit over the name of his “Empress” perfume for women. Empress Hair Care is claiming Combs went ahead and stole the regal name for its Sean John scent, knowing full well he had no right to use the name, according to documents filed in a U.S. District Court in New York on Jan. 10. In February 2010, Combs had reached out to the Texas-based company, asking if a deal could be worked out where he could use the Empress name. The hair-care company declined to do business with him for fear it would lead to market confusion. Lawyers for Sean John attempted to trademark the name “Empress Sean John” but ran into similar problems. The plaintiffs say Combs was undeterred and released the fragrance anyway, along with the contested name. Empress Hair Care, which sells products for women of color, is crying foul and claiming infringement of a federally registered trademark and unfair competition. MAC Cosmetics and Estee Lauder are also named in the lawsuit. This seems like the kind of problem that should go away easily if Diddy just throws enough money at it. Riiiiight? Source More On Bossip! A funeral is set for 11 a.m. Thursday for U.S. District Judge Matthew J. Perry, a giant of a civil rights lawyer who toiled relentlessly to dismantle legal segregation in South Carolina and then went on to become the state’s first black federal judge. Perry died of natural causes Friday just days before his 90th birthday. His body was discovered at his home on Sunday by a family friend. At his death, he was serving as a senior U.S. District Court judge, working every weekday in the downtown Columbia courthouse that was dedicated in April 2004 and bears his name. Oprah Wants You To Attend Her Class & “OWN Your Life” The funeral, which will be held at Brookland Baptist Church in West Columbia, is expected to draw hundreds of mourners, including federal judges from across the country, lawyers and judges in South Carolina, current and former law clerks and his many clients, who were involved in sit-ins and demonstrations that marked the 1950s and 1960s civil rights era. Gov. Nikki Haley has ordered flags at the State House to be lowered to half-staff on the day of his funeral, her spokesman Rob Godfrey said. The Rev. Charles Jackson Sr., Brookland’s pastor, will deliver the eulogy, said I.S. Leevy Johnson, owner of Leevy’s Funeral Home, which is handling the arrangements. Burial will follow in Greenlawn cemetery at the family plot. “All of his law clerks will serve as active pallbearers and members of the state and federal judiciary will be honorary pallbearers,” said Johnson. The funeral home is working with the U.S. Marshal’s Service to ensure security at the church, which seats 3,500. Perry’s home church, Zion Baptist, could not seat the anticipated crowd.
