The young man, who is a student at Lawton Chiles Middle Academy in Polk County, FL, said he feels the pledge is racist and the American flag is offensive to black people. After he reportedly became disruptive, he was arrested and charged with disrupting a school function and resisting arrest without violence, Bay 9 News reports. He was also suspended for three days. After he told her he felt the flag represented racism, she replied “Why if it was so bad here he did not go to another place to live,” and he responded with “they brought me here,” according to the statement she wrote. The teacher then told him “Well you can always go back, because I came here from Cuba and the day I feel I’m not welcome here anymore I would find another place to live.” His behavior became disruptive during his arrest where he called school authorities racist, threatened to beat up his teacher and get the principal fired. If she felt like there was an issue with my son not standing for the flag, she should’ve resolved that in a way different manner than she did.” She continued, “I want the charges dropped and I want the school to be held accountable for what happened because it shouldn’t have been handled the way it was handled.” A spokesperson for the school confirmed that students are not required to stand for the pledge of allegiance but the substitute teacher was not aware. Talbot has a court date on Feb. 19th where she will be fighting these charges against her son. Check out NFL players protest during 2018 season below. SMH: Jim Brown Kosigns Kanye’s Koonery, Says No One Should Protest The Flag [Video]

NFL Jim Brown Visits White House With Kanye West Kanye West isn’t alone with his love and support of Trump. NFL legend Jim Brown has Yeezy’s back every step of the way, which includes taking visits to the White House with him. On Thursday, both stars sat with 45 in the Oval Office and chatted it up about absolutely nothing . However, Mr. Brown did have something to say about Colin Kaepernick and anyone else who protests the National Anthem, the flag, or anything American: “Well, I can be very blunt about taking the knee. First of all, I’m an American. That flag is my flag. The things that I’ve overcome in this country have made me a better person. I don’t think that we should take knees in protest. … I think we should work out our problems.” As for his brotherly visit to the White House with Yé, Brown said: “This is the President of the United States. He allowed me to be invited to his territory, he treated us beautifully, and he shared some thoughts, and he will be open to talking when I get back to him. That’s the best he could do for me.” Okay, sir.

Cops Kill People: Shady Officer Who Killed 6-Year-Old Autistic Boy Convicted Of Manslaughter

Louisiana Cop Guilty Of Manslaughter In Jeremy Mardis Shooting Death Back in 2015 we reported on the police-involved killing of a 6-year-old autistic boy named Jeremy Mardis . 18 bullets were fired and Jeremy was shot 5 times, including twice in the head and chest, by Louisiana cops when they tried to serve his father a warrant. The NYPost is reporting that Derrick Stafford, one of the trigger-happy officers who killed Jeremy , has been found guilty of manslaughter and attempted manslaughter. A dashcam video showed that Jeremy’s father had his hands raised in the air when the officers began unloading. Stafford said he was unaware that a child was in the vehicle. Stafford cried when a prosecutor showed him photographs of the slain first-grader. He said he didn’t know the boy was in the car when he fired and didn’t see his father’s hands in the air. “Never in a million years would I have fired my weapon if I knew a child was in that car. I would have called off the pursuit myself,” Stafford said. Of course this cop didn’t knowingly murder a special needs child, but that child is dead nonetheless and the cop is supposed to be equipped with training and the highest standard of judgement. Sad. So, it came as a shock to them when her Home Owners association sent a letter, asking the daughter of someone in law enforcement, to remove it. “If you drive by and see that flag, it kind of makes you feel a little bit better, that there’s a family that supports what I’m doing,” ” her father Jeff Gaddie said. The neighborhood only allows military-themed and American flags to fly. The Homeowner’s Association say well actually , the Gaddies daughter was supposed to send a formal request to fly the flag and didn’t initially . When she finally did, the request was denied. They also say that the flag is offended neighbors with its anti-Black Lives Matter message. Gaddie’s dad continues “we’ve got black officers, we’ve got Asian officers, we’re got every race,” Gaddie said. “I mean for them to say it’s racist, blue is not a race, it’s the furthest thing from it.” We get it sir, take it down now.

Colin Kaepernick Claps Back At Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s Rude Remarks About His Anthem Protest

Colin Kaepernick Responds To Justice Ginsburg’s Remarks Colin Kaepernick is used to being attacked right and left at this point…but the criticism are coming from more and more surprising places. This time, it’s Supreme Court Justics Ruth Bader Ginsburg. According to TMZ , Ginsburg told Katie Couric in a recent interview that she didn’t have any respect for Colin’s “dumb” protest…but he and all other “stupid, arrogant” athletes who care enough about the police executions of unarmed Black men to make a stand are well within their right to do so. “I think it’s dumb and disrespectful…If they want to be stupid, there’s no law that should be preventive. If they want to be arrogant, there’s no law that prevents them from that.” SMH. These lifelong seats are seeming like a worse and worse idea with each year they age into senility and outspoken bigotry. Either way…Colin had a response: “It is disappointing to hear a Supreme Court Justice call a protest against injustices and oppression ‘stupid, dumb’ in reference to players doing that. I was reading an article and it refers to white critique of black protests and how they try to delegitimize it by calling it ‘idiotic, dumb, stupid,’ things of that nature, so they can sidestep the real issue. As I was reading that I saw more and more truth how this has been approached by people in power and white people in power in particular.” Colin also says that the flag, though white people hold it in the highest regard, isn’t more worthy of respect than human life: “At the end of the day the flag is just a piece of cloth and I am not going to value a piece of cloth over people’s lives.” Look at Colin, keeping it classy. Better than resorting to calling rude names and being dismissive…like this judge in this highly respected position. Getty/AP/Wenn

South Carolina Lawmaker Hands Out Confederate Flag Christmas Cards With “Memories Of A Happier Time”

SC Legislator Hands Out Confederate Christmas Cards A lawmaker in South Carolina — yes, the same South Carolina where 9 innocent people were killed by a Confederate flag-weilding racist psycho — just handed out Christmas cards to his counterparts featuring the stars and bars waiving high on the grounds of the Statehouse, referencing “memories of a happier time” and chastising his republican counterparts for the “betrayal” they committed by voting to remove the flag from the premises. Via The Charlotte Observer : A South Carolina lawmaker has sent out a Christmas card featuring a photo of the Confederate flag that refers to “memories of a happier time” and suggests those who voted to remove the flag from in front of the Statehouse ask God for forgiveness for their “betrayal.” Rep. Chris Corley said Thursday that he sent the cards to his Republican colleagues as a joke. He says he sent a card with a photo of his children to others. The card displays a photo of the flag when it still flew in front of the Statehouse. Lawmakers voted in July to remove the banner in response to the fatal shooting of nine black parishioners in a Charleston church. The suspect in the shooting was seen in photos posing with the Confederate flag. SMH. So what was the joke exactly?? Because this guy being ignorant and insensitive seems pretty serious to us…

Uncle Toms: Ben Carson Tells NASCAR Fans The Confederate Flag Should Never Be Taken Down

Ben Carson Tells NASCAR Fans The Confederate Flag Is Ok Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson thinks NASCAR fans should be allowed to fly Confederate flags on private property, he said at an event with racing legend Richard Petty on Monday. Via SI : The controversy surrounding the flag and NASCAR reached a peak this summer when racing fans continued to fly the flag in the wake of a racially motivated killing in Charleston, S.C., when nine black churchgoers were murdered by a white man. Petty called the debate over the flag, which is considered a symbol of southern pride by many who display it at racing events, “a passing fancy.” Carson, who is the only African-American candidate for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination, said on Monday that people should be permitted to fly the flag if they want to, even if it is considered a hate symbol by many. “Swastikas are a symbol of hate for some people, too. And yet they still exist in museums and places like that,” Carson told the Associated Press. “If it’s a majority of people in that area who want it to fly, I certainly wouldn’t take it down.” Petty, who retired from racing in 1992, informally endorsed Carson and called him “very humane.” Really?!?
