Grown-ish Cast Will Help Fans Pay Off Student Loans In addition to being great actors and actresses, Yara Shahidi and the rest of the Grown-ish cast are dedicated activists…always looking to serve the public and assist the youth in whatever way they can. Now, as Grown-ish returns to Freeform for the start of a second season this week, the cast has announced a new student loan payoff program that will help their fans pay off debt. Grown-ish has partnered with Scholly App to help folks pay off up to $125,000 in debt , according to the promo video released on Wednesday, January 2. “Acknowledging that student loans have crippled a generation of young Americans and are keeping them from achieving their dreams, the program aims to help student loan borrowers pay off debts that may be holding them back from living their best lives,” a press released stated, according to Just Jared . Current students and graduates with an outstanding loan balance can apply by heading over to myscholly.com/grownish . Winners will reportedly be announced this Spring at the 2019 Freeform Summit. Pretty Little Liars is officially coming to an end . Marlene King revealed on August 29 that the Freeform drama will return for 10 more episodes before signing off for good. This raised a lot of questions about whether the show would be able to wrap up all of the plot in 10 episodes. Marlene chatted to reporters on August 31 about the end of the series and what to expect. Here's what she revealed: 1. No Time Jump “It’s one of our moments-later premieres,” King said. “So, Ali will not be super pregnant, she’ll just be a little more pregnant than she was last night.” 2. Paige Is Sticking Around “Paige is not gone for good,” King said. “Having that triangle play out felt very appropriate for us as storytellers as we embark upon these final 10 episodes.” 3. Wren Is Back! “We’ll see him in more than one episode, which is fantastic,” King teased of Melissa Hastings’ ex-boyfriend. “He had never had a scene with Ezra, and he and Ian [Harding] are friends in real life, so [Julian Morris] was like, ‘Please, can I have a scene with Ezra?’ So that was really the originator for the first scene that we’ll see Wren in when he comes back.” 4. Movie Spin-Off? “We’re very open to finding ways to keep these characters alive,” King said. “I hope that down the line we find a way to bring the girls back together again. It’s such a fun world to play in that we’re always keeping those options open.” King teased that the final episode will be like a movie, “The last episode is really going to be treated like a two-hour movie.” 5. Charlotte’s Origins “We will find out who Charlotte’s father is,” King revealed. “And we will find out how Spencer came to be with her entire family dynamic.” 6. Is Jenna Really Evil? “She knows A.D. exists,” King said of the Liars’ enemy. “She is, I would say, anonymously working for A.D. in ways that we find out moving forward a few other people on our show are as well.” View Slideshow
The photo was meant to celebrate a three-year-old’s birthday, but by all means let’s accuse the parents of animal cruelty. Kensington Palace released four photos today, taken by Matt Porteous, celebrating Prince George’s birthday. The shoot took place earlier this month, and one of the photos shows George sharing his ice cream with the family’s cocker spaniel, Lupo. The Royal Society For The Prevention Of Cruelty To Animals is furious with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge for allowing George to feed Lupo dairy, which can cause digestive issues and diarrhea. “It is lovely that Prince George is trying to help keep his family dog, Lupo, cool in these high temperatures,” RSPCA stated, according to the Guardian . View Slideshow: 19 Times Prince George Proved He Was Ready To Be King “We would advise people to be cautious when giving their dogs food meant for human consumption as some items, like chocolate, can be highly toxic to dogs and dairy items can be difficult for them to digest. “Instead of ice-cream we would suggest making an ice lolly from pet-friendly ingredients. Making these can be really fun for children and the end product is both safe and enjoyable for dogs.” Kensington Palace has not addressed the question of whether the treat is dog-friendly or not, despite activists automatically assuming that it’s a white chocolate covered ice cream. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge has both grown up with dogs, so it’s safe to assume that they would never knowingly put Lupo in danger. The other photos in the set feature George on a swing, thought to be a wedding gift to his parents. Though Catherine normally takes official photos of her children (she photographed Princess Charlotte ahead of her first birthday back in May), this time the royal couple hired Matt Porteous. “I really enjoyed the opportunity to take these photographs of Prince George,” Porteous said. “It was a very relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. I’m honoured that they have decided to share these images with the public to mark his third birthday.” Happy Birthday, Your Royal Highness. And best wishes to Lupo.
Ben Higgins officially wants your vote. The former Bachelor contestant has made the political rumor into a reality, announcing today that he is running as a Republican in Colorado’s House District 4. This Denver State House district that is predominantly Democratic and Higgins will be facing off against Democratic Representative Dan Pabon, according to The Associated Press. Higgins is 28 years old. He’s best only known for having starred on the latest season of The Bachelor. We can’t guarantee that Higgins will keep any promises he makes on the campaign trail, but he has thus far kept his vow to marry Lauren Bushnell. The couple has somehow managed to keep its romance intact, several months after filming concluded. Some time later this year, Higgins and Bushnell will even star on the very first Bachelor spin-off to track the lives of a pairing that met on the series. Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After will air on the Freeform network in the fall. Higgins had previously said the following to Us Weekly: “People reach out to me about community development and planning and how to counsel places that need help, which is really cool because it isn’t something I necessarily had a platform on before, other than my service, and so through all of that the next question was post-Bachelor, this platform that I now had, what should we do with that? “And one of the first things that came to mind was I’ve always had a large interest in politics.” Higgins, of course, has no actual experience in politics. So this all seems pretty crazy, doesn’t it? Why would anyone vote a reality star into any kind of political office, right? There’s no way this will work… View Slideshow: 11 Stars Who Have Run for Political Office
