Ben Higgins FINALLY Goes Public With Girlfriend Jessica Clarke!

Ben Higgins is finally sharing his secret girlfriend with the world !  Not like we have been anxiously waiting… The Bachelor fan favorite took to social media on Wednesday afternoon to make his relationship with Jessica Clarke Instagram official. “I’ve been selfishly keeping this to myself for too long! Hey friends meet @jessclarke_!” Ben wrote to his 1.3 million followers.  “I successfully slide into her DM’s a few months ago. I took a risk and I am glad I did. She is someone special, and I look forward to where life is going to take us.” The former reality star continued, “Stay tuned for the journey. In addition, this picture was taken this week in Honduras. I got to spend some time with an incredible group of people from all over the USA on a @generous_coffee_adventure. Life is good!”  “This is the most fantastic, heartwarming thing! I’m so happy for you!!!” Ashely Laconetti shared in the comments section. Wells Adams also added, “#HottyToddy.” Not only is he Instagram official with the new girl, but he also travels overseas with her?! We can expect a proposal any day now.  In this week’s episode of Ben’s iHeartRadio podcast, his co-host Ashley announced that Jessica will be a guest on the Almost Famous show this coming Monday.  Back in January, Ben first revealed on his podcast that he had been dating someone and that they are currently long distance.  He successfully kept her identity a secret, as did his loyal friends.  But they did let us in on how happy he was.  “Everybody is buzzing about this. No [I haven’t met her], but I know that they’ve been going back and forth on flights to see each other over the past couple of months,” Ashley revealed to E! News at OK! Magazine’s Pre-Grammys party.  This is Ben’s first love interest since  his split from Lauren Bushnell .  The two got engaged on the season 20 finale of The Bachelor in 2016, yet never went through with the wedding .  “He definitely seems very happy.”  But who even is this brunette beauty who has stolen Ben’s heart?  Here is everything we have learned about Jessica:  1. No, she has nothing to do with The Bachelor franchise.  2. She graduated from The University of Mississippi with a Bachelor’s Degree in Integrated Marketing and Communications in May. “My time at Ole Miss taught me that I have no control over my life and man am I thankful for that!” she captioned her graduation pic. “It wasn’t what I expected, but was far better. Thanks for my best friends.”  3. She has two attractive brothers.  “Last game day as a Landshark and I got BOTH of my brothers with me in my favorite place, best day ever…hotty toddy,” she captioned another Instagram post.  4. Jessica also appears to have a Maltipoo named Penny.  And though being a dog mom and having a college degree isn’t too unusual for girls today, she does run marathons.   Pretty impressive.  5. She also was a college athlete and ran track and cross country at Ole Miss.  The 23-year-old posted a photo after completing the Rock ‘n’ Roll Nashville Marathon in 2017. “Came out of retirement for my city,” she wrote beside the photo.  6. And as for work? Well, she sells LED lighting for a living. She works at Valet Energy in Nashville and has been the Key Account Manager for several months.  And when it came time for Jessica’s reveal, she kept it sweet and simple.  “My secret boyfriend, Ben!” she shared.  “He has one of the biggest hearts and kindest spirits, I got to share Honduras with him this past week and I’m excited for many more adventures!” Ok, we admit they are too cute.  And if you want more, tune into The Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast on Monday for their first public “hello” to the world as an official couple!  View Slideshow: Lauren Bushnell: Ben Higgins’ Bachelor Bride-to-Be!

Ben Higgins Claps Back at Haters, Explains How "Life Happens"

THIS JUST IN: Ben Higgins is not a perfect person. You may have previously thought the ex-Bachelor star was infallible, but Higgins is here to tell you otherwise. Back in mid-May, Higgins and Lauren Bushnell finally broke up . The split was a very long time in the making, considering Higgins called off the couple’s engagement last fall (on an episode of their Freeform reality show, natch) – and considering there had been rumors that Higgins was still in touch with JoJo Fletcher . The latter allegation was never proven correct, but chatter about the twosome’s demise was clearly on the right track. “It is with heavy hearts that we announce our decision to go our separate ways,” Ben and Lauren said in a joint statement on May 15, adding: “We feel fortunate for all the time that we had together, and we will remain friends with much love and respect for one another. “We wish nothing but the best for each other, and ask for your support and understanding at this time.” Your basic, run of the mill celebrity break-up statement for the most part. A few days after this split went viral, Higgins opened up about his failed relationship on a podcast. “Lauren will always be one of my best friends,” the former Bachelor said , adding on air: “It’s tough. It’s hard to say goodbye to somebody that you spent so much time with and it’s hard to say goodbye to somebody that you really did believe was the one for you.” But did Ben really believe this? Or did he string Bushnell along, after asking her to give up her career and move to Denver for him, no less? We may never know for certain, but Higgins has been under a great deal of fire on social media for his treatment of Lauren. And he’s finally had it. Taking to Instagram last night, Higgins went off on a nice little rant, slamming his critics and trying to explain that he never meant Bushnell any harm “I cannot focus on the negative comments or indecently hateful words being said about me or my relationship even though they do sting,” he wrote alongside a photo of himself and his podcast co-host Ashley Iaconetti. But Ben was far from finished. “I will once again clearly tell you I AM NOT PERFECT as none of us are and I have never claimed to be,” he wrote, going on as follows: “The last few months have not gone the way I would have preferred. My relationships have changed drastically and what I envisioned my life was going to be has been redirected. “It is sad, but it is nothing you should feel sorry for me about, life happens both the good and bad.” Ben apparently has been receiving some flak for starting a podcast, perhaps because folks this he only went on The Bachelor to further his professional agenda. “I do desire to show love in all situations (do I always do that? No, I fail often),” Higgins wrote in this same post, addressing this negative talk and adding: “To be clear, not that this should be a surprise, but this podcast is a professional decision I have made to enhance my life and career.” Higgins concluded his lengthy post by offering some life advice to his followers. What makes him qualified to dole it out? Who knows. View Slideshow: 17 Most Shocking Moments in Bachelor History: Who Can Forget #13?! But he still wrote: Love as hard as you can (even to strangers). Ask yourself what life is about and pursue your conclusion with passion. When a good opportunity comes your way that fits your desires take it, because life is short but a lot more fun when you are doing something you enjoy.

Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell: It’s Over!

After nearly a year and a half together, The Bachelor ‘s Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell have broken up, according to a reliable source. Them. “It is with heavy hearts that we announce our decision to go our separate ways,” the couple said in a statement just moments ago. “We feel fortunate for all the time that we had together, and we will remain friends with much love and respect for one another.” “We wish nothing but the best for each other, and ask for your support and understanding at this time,”   Ben and Lauren said . And so it goes. Another Bachelor franchise couple bites the dust … raise your hand if you’re surprised. Anyone? Hello? No? The couple’s season, in which she outlasted JoJo Fletcher (who went on to be The Bachelorette ) premiered in January 2016. Higgins, 29, proposed to Bushnell, 27, after telling Fletcher, 26, that he was in love with her as well on her Fantasy Suite date. Despite that controversy, the engaged couple weathered the PR storm and seemed genuinely happy … for awhile, at least. Bushnell moved to Higgins’ hometown of Denver, where she said “post-filming was more of an emotional roller coaster than the show.” “I fall more in love with Ben every day and it’s hard to separate what happened long ago and my current feelings,” she said. “It’s confusing.” “It does wear on me. It hurts,” she added, describing how she would watch The Bachelor online and see him profess his love. To JoJo. “It’s like, why did I have to go through that hurt? It’s already a few months of confusion and tears and then to have to deal with it again.” “It’s hard.”  Higgins added that “it hasn’t always been easy,” but said that “it’s added a whole new level to our relationship,” for what that’s worth. “[The Bachelor] led me to this woman who I love deeply,” Higgins said of Bushnell. “She’s the only woman I’ll love from now on.” So much for that. Six months later, Higgins and Bushnell returned to TV for the hilariously titled Freeform reality show Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After? Turns out that question mark was prescient. Ahead of the premiere, the two revealed they were undergoing couples counseling at church. “We’re not the perfect couple. Far from it” Higgins said, but again he insisted, “we are trying really hard and we love each other a lot.” “We’ve gotten in arguments like any other couple, but about some things that other couples wouldn’t have to fight about,” Lauren said. “Like the fact that we met when he was dating other women. You can say that’s what I signed up for, but it’s still real life and it’s still hard.” In the end, overcoming trust issues is a challenge for couples under the best of circumstances … and these circumstances were not the best. “For a long time, I was really angry for being blindsided,” said Bushnell. “And that resentment and anger affected our relationship.” “Much longer than it should have.” The two always maintained they were “not in any rush” to tie the knot, which many observers also interpreted as something of a red flag. Lauren explained that as such: “We’re both ready to get married, but we haven’t set a date because we want to make sure we’re not doing it for anyone but ourselves.” “We just want to do it on our own terms,” Ben said. “I just want to look over at Lauren and know that she is completely filled with joy.” View Slideshow: The Bachelor and Bachelorette Couples: Are They Still Together? “Love is what life is all about.” And yet the rumors persisted … and yet her went out of his way to deny a recent report from Us Weekly via an oft-overused phrase. Higgins wrote on Instagram, alongside a picture of his arms around Bushnell, in response to the tabloid reporting that they broke up: “No need to respond often to rumors or ‘fake news’ but the feeling I have in this picture is the same feeling I have for this girl today.” “We have entered into a world where rumors will exist, we know, but … I am still extremely lucky to be able to share life with her and be by her side.” No official word on why they split, nor do we expect it, but we wish both parties the best in what must be an excruciatingly hard time. Ben and Lauren Season 1 Episode 8 Recap: Vegas, Baby!

On  Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After? Season 1 Episode 7 , the couple and friends hit Vegas for bachelor and bachelorette parties.  Together, yet not together forever … yet. If you  watch Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After? online , you know that they have a long way to go … and this week was no exception. Going to Vegas was always going to be a testing time for Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell. They have had a whirlwind few weeks, with a lot of arguing.  That was all put to the side after they helped someone fix their home up last week, but did it was away all of their pain? We kicked off with the couple heading to Vegas for their bachelor and bachelorette parties. The odd thing about the party was that barely anyone knew about the pair calling off their wedding.  When Ben met up with his bros, he informed them that he and Lauren had been undergoing couple’s therapy to try and get back to the great couple they once were. Lauren didn’t cave to her gal pals. Instead, the twins did it for her. This made Lauren happy because she did not have to run through everything yet again.  Basically, the whole point of the episode was to bring Ben and Lauren back together in a big way. It was pathetic and blatantly scripted, but we’re a sucker for a happy ending.  When their Vegas trip was coming to a close, their close friends and family surprised them with a display of the couple in happier times to show just how far they have come together.  This paved the way for Ben to reveal the wedding was very much back on and a huge party kicked off. There was loads of alcohol, drunken chats. It was a true Hollywood ending.  “I think we’re going to plan a wedding,” Ben said. Lauren added, “I think we’ll live happily ever after.” Now, we don’t know what’s next for the couple, but there could be a second season of the show. That would probably involve kicking the cheesy post-show tagline.  It’s pointless and adds nothing to the show. There will need to be a lot of changes to keep viewers interested in another season of the show.  The twins can stay, but can we please ditch the consistent Bachelor alumni from showing up? Do these people not have friends outside of that circle? Another season could be good, but only if producers dial back how goofy the show is. We love you, Ben and Lauren, but we hate how manufactured your show is.  What did you think of the finale? Sound off below! View Slideshow: Lauren Bushnell: Ben Higgins’ Bachelor Bride-to-Be!

Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell: Is it Over Already?!

If you follow this link  watch Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After? online , you’ll notice an utterly ridiculous, unnecessary question mark in the show title. But, to paraphrase Morpheus … WHAT IF WE TOLD YOU it wasn’t an absurd inclusion of punctuation after all, but a harbinger of things to come?! What we’re saying is their happily ever after is in doubt people. Watch Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After? Season 1 Episode 1 Online Yes, the couple got engaged on the finale of The Bachelor and now have the first-ever Bachelor spinoff devoted to a couple from the franchise. You could say that life hasn’t been coming up roses, though. According to an In Touch magazine source, the two have been having problems from the beginning, and “their issues are getting worse.” While Becca Tilley defended JoJo Fletcher  after the premiere implied that Ben might still be into his Bachelor runner-up, issues remain. Major ones. Some insiders say a split could be imminent. Becca Tilley: Bachelor Alum Calls Out Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell’s New Show Recently, the duo hit Las Vegas to celebrate a joint bachelorette and bachelor party … even though they don’t have a wedding date set . Says a source close to the couple during the weekend: “They spent no time together during taping breaks. They were posting pictures on social media with guests, but didn’t take any together.” The insider explained that the two have “been struggling to keep the relationship afloat,” adding that those efforts are “failing miserably.” Ben and Lauren have admitted to seeking therapy. While that’s not necessarily a sign that their “struggles” mean imminent doom, it does feed into the narrative that things aren’t wonderful. Ben and Lauren Sneak Peek If you missed the premiere, it was very clear that Lauren was nervous about being there at the After the Final Rose taping … for JoJo. The whole scene felt contrived to create a sense of tension between Ben and Lauren, which could be where a lot of these rumors stem from. Ben told Lauren early and often that he wants her to be happy, but taking her to see JoJo Fletcher sure is an odd way of showing that. Obviously, they’re filming a reality TV show here. You can’t believe everything you see, we know. Also, they are by all accounts a relatively boring couple (sorry, Ben, Lauren and Freeform). So producers are stretching a bit. We get that. Still, there’s nothing to suggest that these two are in a good place – unlike, say, JoJo and Jordan, they rarely show us any happy moments. Don’t stick a fork in them yet, but stay tuned. Ben Higgins to Marry Lauren Bushnell… REALLY SOON!

Some time in the near future, Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell are getting married . No, wait, the wedding between Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell has been called off ! Contrasting reports regarding the latest winner of The Bachelor and his chosen suitor have gone viral over the past few weeks, confusing fans desperate to see another successful relationship spring from this show. So, which is it? Are Ben and Lauren closer than ever to saying “I Do” or to saying “See Ya?” According to Us Weekly, it’s the former, as that magazine claims the famous tandem “will get married very soon, probably this summer. Yes, the tabloid adds, these nuptials would be televised as an “ABC special.” Higgins rejected new Bachelorette JoJo Fletcher toward the end of his featured season, proceeding to propose to Bushnell during the finale’s taping in Jamaica. They actually do seem like a very happy couple, but how often have you heard that about Bachelors and their fiancees before? Just prior to the relationship coming to a not-so-surprising end? View Slideshow: Lauren Bushnell: Ben Higgins’ Bachelor Bride-to-Be! Ever since his season concluded, though, Higgins and his 25-year old love have been “very happy,” a source tells Us Weekly, saying of Ben and Lauren : “They’re making it work a lot better than past people have done in their shoes,” adds the source. Why would they film their nuptials for a national audience? Money. No… wait. That isn’t it. “We want to share our life with everyone who’s been supportive,” says Bushnell, who recently moved into Higgins’ Denver home. “And that includes Bachelor Nation.” If this wedding special makes it to air, Ben and Lauren would become the fifth Bachelor couple to exchange vows in front of network cameras. Trista and Ryan Sutter started this trend in 2003 and were followed by: Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney wed in 2010; Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum in 2012; and Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici in January 2014. View Slideshow: The Bachelor Stars Ranked By Relationship Length

The Bachelor Season 20 Episode 7 Recap: Who Made Ben Higgins’ Final Four?!

On The Bachelor Season 20 Episode 7, Ben Higgins’ journey officially reached the point where he selected his coveted final four. Who would earn those roses … or a plane ticket home? Watch The Bachelor Season 20 Episode 7 Online As always, if you wish to know who makes it to the season finale and wins Ben’s final final rose, read  The Bachelor spoilers  here. If you prefer to remain spoiler-free, let’s recap Monday! Picking up where last week left off,  The Bachelor Season 20 Episode 7  saw Higgins get down to business with his six remaining ladies. If you  watch The Bachelor online , you know that this is the first week without Olivia Caridi to play the villain. So what was the focal point? A trip to Ben’s hometown of Warsaw, Indiana. Unlike Chris Soules’ hometown of Arlington, Iowa, however … Ben actually lives in Denver now. But still, such a quaint place for a date. Lauren Bushnell and JoJo Fletcher, the obvious frontrunners, take up most of the screen time as the former tours the place Ben grew up. The latter, meanwhile, gets … empty Wrigley Field. JoJo even gets a Chicago Cubs jersey that says “Mrs. Higgins” on the back. “Mrs. Higgins… sooounds good…” JoJo, totally naturally. View Slideshow: The Bachelor Season 20: Meet the Ladies! The group date featured one rose and two boats: Ben and Caila pile into one while Becca and Amanda follow behind them from a distance. Sucks for them. Next, they fly kites apparently. Amanda ultimately gets the rose, Becca breaks down, Caila struggles with her own insecurities, and the tears start flowing all night long. Meanwhile, Ben tells us he wants to take Amanda to McDonald’s because “That’s a normal thing for me.” Yes, product placement alert! After that giant advertisement, they went to the fair (because small town Indiana) and generally seemed to hit it off in this swell place. Ben’s date with Emily, though? Wow. Just wow. Either the producers paid her to embarrass herself or they got lucky, because it’s hard to imagine a meet-the-parents date going worse. “I have so many dreams to accomplish,” Emily tells Ben’s mom, later explaining that said dreams entail becoming … an NFL cheerleader.  It got worse from there, if you can believe that. “I’m so average at everything in life,” she says, really selling herself. “I will be an above-average mom, and an above-average wife.” You don’t want to go in there and oversell yourself or pretend to be something you’re not, but probably not the best sales pitch in history. Ben’s parents were not exactly bowled over, and this week proved to be her last as she was sent packing while the other girls watched. That seemed a little cold, but hey, it’s reality TV. At the rose ceremony, Ben had four to give up and one Becca Tilley to eliminate, as the entire episode had been telegraphing throughout. Caila Quinn earned the last rose – in terms of the one that was the most up for grabs – while this is still Lauren’s game to lose honestly. JoJo has an outside shot, but nothing more. Still In This Thing & Headed to the Coveted Final Four : Lauren Bushnell, Caila Quinn, Amanda Stanton and JoJo Fletcher. Out : Becca Tilley and Emily Ferguson.
