So I posted last night that Regis died before his retirement in this Vespa Accident on Letterman… It turns out he survived and the fall was hardly as funny as it should have been, so he made it to his last show, cuz he is retiring and that glorious, historic event brought out his past host, busty Kathie Lee Gifford, who anyone who stayed home sick in the early 90s jerked off to….and who based on POSTS ABOUT HER TITS still jerk off to her… She came out all sweaty armpits for the armpit fetishists….all red headed for the red head fetishists…..all big breasted for the busty festishists…..all big assed for the menopausal women fetishists….she exudes sex, makes me wonder why Frank cheated on her…oh right…cuz she’s annoying as fuck…
No one thought it would end this way for Joe Paterno: the iconic Penn State football coach has announced his retirement, effective at the end of this season, due to the ongoing sex scandal surrounding the university’s athletic department. In 2002, Paterno learned that former defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky may have abused a boy in a locker room shower, but only reported the incident to the athletic director, as opposed to the police. “I am absolutely devastated by the developments in this case. I grieve for the children and their families, and I pray for their comfort and relief,” the record-breaking coach state in a statement, adding: “I have decided to announce my retirement effective at the end of this season. At this moment the Board of Trustees should not spend a single minute discussing my status. They have far more important matters to address. I want to make this as easy for them as I possibly can. This is a tragedy. It is one of the great sorrows of my life. With the benefit of hindsight, I wish I had done more.”
Legendary journalist Andy Rooney passed away last night. He was 92. The 60 Minutes mainstay known to generations for his wry, humorous and contentious TV essays – a unique genre he is credited with pioneering – died just over a month after he announced his retirement from the long-running news program. “It’s a very sad day at 60 Minutes and for everybody here at CBS News,” said Jeff Fager, chairman of CBS News and the executive producer of 60 Minutes . “It’s hard to imagine not having Andy Rooney around. He loved his life and he lived it on his own terms. We will all miss him very, very much.” On October 2, he made his 1,097th and last appearance on 60 Minutes. “I wish I could do this forever,” he said, admitting he’s dreaded his retirement . Poignantly, but with vintage curmudgeonly humor, he closed that final segment by thanking his fans, of which there are millions, young and old. That said … “If you see me in a restaurant, please, just let me eat my dinner.” Watch Andy Rooney’s final 60 Minutes appearance here: Andy Rooney: Final 60 Minutes Segment
