Tyrann Mathieu, 20, in August was dismissed from the LSU football program three weeks before the start of his junior season by coach Les Miles for violating team rules. Mathieu#39;s father told local media that Mathieu was in a drug-rehabilitation center, and the Southeastern Conference#39;s 2011 defensive player of the year was arrested in October for marijuana possession. Tyrann Mathieu, an All-American cornerback nicknamed the “Honey Badger” who was kicked off the Louisiana State University

Yes, those were screams you heard emanating from Rockefeller Plaza this morning. But, no, you weren’t hearing things regarding the reason why: They were in response to the reunion of 98 Degrees. For the first time in a decade, Nick Lachey, Drew Lachey, Jeff Timmons and Justin Jeffre gathered on stage and belted out a pair of hits for fans: “Because of You” and “I Do.” Referring to themselves as a “man band,” as opposed to a “boy band,” Drew Lachey explained the difference between performing now and performing in the group’s prime: “There’s back pain, throat pain, knee pain, ankle pain, hip pain. Our menu went from like steak and lobster to Metamucil and prune juice.” But the men will suck it up this weekend at the MixTape Festival in Hershey, PA, where they will be featured along with Aaron Carter, The Fray, New Kids on the Block, Backstreet Boys, Kelly Clarkson and Carly Rae Jepsen . In the wake of his shocking dismissal from the LSU football team last week, many pundits have been wondering: where will Tyrann Mathieu end up? The answer, for now at least, is not at a rival collegiate power, however, but in a drug rehabilitation center. According to WVUE-TV in New Orleans , Tyrone Mathieu says his adopted son (and one of last year’s Heisman Trophy finalists), has been at the Right Step recovery center for days and is being counseled by former NBA player John Lucas.

New theory: Immortals director Tarsem Singh (excuse us, visionary director Tarsem ) is the honey badger of film directors. In an unprecedented move Saturday in San Francisco, the filmmaker behind such films as The Cell and The Fall stole the hearts and minds of WonderCon attendees away from Cowboys & Aliens helmer Jon Favreau — and mind you, Favreau is so popular that he has his own entrance music (“Back in Black,” natch).
