Thousands of women all around the world are inspired by the Duchess of Sussex’s kindness and killer fashion sense, but for one Houston-based woman, well she is inspired by her face . Xochytl Greer (yes that is the woman’s name and not a type of dinosaur), works as an attorney in Houston, Texas and recently spent $30,000 on plastic surgery to emulate the royal. Cameras from ABC’s Nightline followed Greer into the operating room last November to get a peek at her wild procedure. And now, she’s sitting down with Entertainment Tonight to share her results and reveal how looking like the beloved Duchess has changed her life. Greer is a mother of three and first became a fan of Markle after seeing her on Suits . “I really liked her character, Rachel Zane,” she told the interviewer. “I thought that she was a strong woman… She came off very wholesome, very conservative.” She added that her love only intensified once she started dating Prince Harry. “She’s like our very own American princess, right? So I love that,” Greer expressed. “I love that she gets to portray America and kind of represent America into this royalty now! I enjoyed it because it thrust her into the spotlight even more.” The woman even took her admiration a step further by persuading the room that she is very “relatable” to Markle and that the two have several similarities between them. Beyond their now identical faces. Like Markle, Greer has been previously married and divorced. She also identifies with Markle’s biracial (half-white and half-black) background while Greer herself is half-Mexican and half-white. The crazed woman even admits to having her own “family issues” and to top it all off, Greer loves the fact that both she and Markle have experience in law. Well, if she is regarding Meghan’s character in Suits , I guess that is in some way accurate. “I’m an attorney… I find that very relatable with Meghan,” she shared. “And I know she’s not an attorney, she’s an actress, and now the Duchess of Sussex. So, it’s not really her, individually, but it’s a character that she plays,” Greer tried to reason. “But it’s something that I can draw more commonality to and feel closer to her about.” And while she feels a sense of connection to Markle on the inside, Greer went under the knife to endure major surgery to look like Markle on the outside. Fat grafts were put into her cheeks and her buttocks and liposuction was performed on her abdomen as well as her inner and outer thighs. She had filler put into her jawline, as well as in her lips and under her eyes and also had a nose job. “Once all the bruising went away and swelling went down, I looked in the mirror and I just felt happy again,” Greer says. Her 2-year-old daughter can’t even tell the difference between her mom and the Duchess of Sussex. “She’s like, ‘It’s mommy on TV! It’s mommy!’ and I’m like, ‘Nope, that’s not mommy.'” The surgeon, Dr. Franklin Rose, of Utopia Plastic Surgery & Med Spa, who performed the procedures in November 2018 says patients wanting to look like famous people is nothing new. “Meghan Markle is very pretty so people want her nose,” Dr. Rose told The Sun . Seeing his patient’s confidence go “through the roof” makes the physician happy about his work. “She resembled Meghan Markle before but now looks even more like her,” he said. Court documents state that Kensinger Properties filed a lawsuit against Norman and the company behind Sweetie Pie’s Restaurant, the company he owns along with his mother Robbie Montgomery. The suit claims that Norman took out a lease for the property in Houston, where the restaurant was previously located. They’re suing the reality star for breaching the agreement. They claim he owes a total of $254,019.76 in back rent and other unpaid fees. They suing for the balance and interest. The trial for this case is set to begin later this month. Freeda, one of Big George’s 7 daughters followed him in his footsteps, beginning to box professionally as a middleweight beginning in 2000. She won her first five fights before losing her sixth fight in 2001. She promptly retired after the loss, settling for a pro record of 5-1 with 3 KOs to focus on being a mother and other passions, such as boxing promotion. Law enforcement tells TMZ that Freeda’s body was found in her home near Houston by a family member. Cops are currently waiting for a report from the coroner’s office on her cause of death. Foul play is not suspected. George has 7 daughters, five of his own and two adopted daughters who became part of the family in 2009 and 2012. He also has 5 sons, all of whom are named George. Freeda’s middle name? You guessed it, George. A Black business owner from Atlanta is aiming to help individuals combat poverty through entrepreneurship. Velma Trayham , the creator and CEO of the marketing agency ThinkZILLA PR & Consulting Group, has launched a new small business program to help those faced with financial setbacks start their own ventures, Black News reported. Trayham was inspired to create the Pioneer program after witnessing the impact of the recent government shutdown, the news outlet writes. After seeing people struggle to make ends meet, she was inspired to empower them and show them ways in which they can have control over their financial future by becoming entrepreneurs. Through the intensive program, participants will learn how to create everything from business models to marketing plans and other lessons needed to successfully grow a business. For Trayham it’s all about breaking the cycle of poverty. “Entrepreneurs can change the way they live and work – and inspire others to do the same. Innovations created by small businesses can improve the quality of life, creating personal success as well as create communities that are more prosperous,” she said in a statement. “When people find success doing something they love and believe in, they have the power and capacity to help others do the same. I appreciate the mentors who helped me early in my career and am dedicated to helping others find their passion in business, reduce the causes of poverty, and creating a chain effect of business support and success.” The program kicks off in Atlanta on March 30 and she plans on taking it to cities that include Washington, D.C., Houston, and Orlando. There has been an effort to support Black entrepreneurs. MVMT50 and The New Voices fund recently teamed up to host a pitch competition dubbed PITCH BLACK as an avenue to address the obstacles that Black women face when stepping into entrepreneurship, including the lack of access to capital. Days later Solange released the visual for ‘Almeda’ putting the black people and black pride of Houston on display through the visual. Although many times Solange has symbolism that we don’t understand ‘Almeda’ has a few obvious parallels to her life. The title alone is an area of town where Solange spent a lot of time and the Almeda Mall was a landmark she has referenced on social media. In the visual, you will notice a lot of the women wearing hairstyles that were popular in the 90’s. We assume this is a nod to her mother that ran a popular hair salon in the area for many years. The fashion in the visual also has touches of southern style with cowboy boots, hats and bolo ties. Not only was La Flame presented with a city to the city while performing in his hometown, but it was also announced mid-concert that Houston will be getting a new amusement park, all thanks to Travis Scott and his love of ASTROWORLD. On Wednesday, February 13, while the rapper was performing in Houston for the second leg of his ASTROWORLD: Wish You Were Here Tour , Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner took the Toyota Center stage to surprise everybody at the concert with a special announcement. “Because of him, we want to bring another amusement theme park back to the city,” Mayor Turner said before presenting Scott with his very own key to the city. “Because of him, we want to bring another amusement park back to Houston.” Mayor @SylvesterTurner gives a key to the city to @trvisXX ! pic.twitter.com/0IJpstfkEz — Toyota Center (@ToyotaCenter) February 14, 2019 According to the Mayor’s Office, the desire to bring a theme park back to Houston is solely the brainchild of Travis Scott.
