Rashida Jones for Flaunt Magazine of the Day

This doesn’t look like the Rashida Jones I am used to. You know the Harvard graduate, daughter of Peggy Lipton and Quincy Jones, Star of I Love you Man….Our Idiot Brother and all movies with that Segal motherfucker….she’s also on Parks and Recreation, something I’ve never seen but know that people like…..because Americans are retards and embrace, worship, trust and get controlled by all things that are on the TV because that is what is there for…. Either way, I’ve never found her hot, but for some reason this photoshoot, puts her 40 year old black/jewish rich kid face into a whole new light…one I can masturbate to…

Which Golden Globe Winner Topped Quentin Tarantino’s Top 11 of 2011?

Considering how unabashedly Quentin Tarantino wears his cinephilia on his sleeve, it’s always fascinating to get a peek inside that movie geek brain of his to see what’s swimming around. And thanks to The Quentin Tarantino Archives, the world now knows which 11 films of last year topped QT’s best-of list, which just missed the cut, and which movies, interestingly enough, earned his “Nice Try” award. Last year Tarantino named Toy Story 3 the best of the year while also praising Animal Kingdom , I Am Love , and Enter the Void in his choice cuts. This time around he seems to have stuck with mainstream cineplex offerings — no Melancholia , for example, and only one foreign language movie in the entire list! Browse his picks and see if you agree: Quentin Tarantino’s official Top Eleven of 2011 1. Midnight In Paris 2. Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes 3. Moneyball 4. The Skin I Live In 5. X-Men: First Class 6. Young Adult 7. Attack The Block 8. Red State 9. Warrior 10. The Artist / Our Idiot Brother (tie) 11. The Three Musketeers Others he liked (no particular order) 50/50 Beginners Hugo The Iron Lady Carnage Green Hornet Green Lantern Captain America The Descendants My Week With Marilyn Fast Five Tree Of Life The Hangover Part II Mission Impossible 4 The Beaver Contagion The Sitter War Horse Nice Try Award Drive Hanna Drive Angry Real Steel Maybe in 2011, while prepping Django Unchained , Tarantino didn’t get out much. It’s possible he watches more older movies than new ones. Perhaps genre exercises Drive , Drive Angry , and Hanna hewed too close to QT’s own wheelhouse to impress. But seriously, Quentin — the mess that was Green Lantern over the ubercool stylings of Nicholas Winding Refn? Explain thyself! Midnight in Paris , meanwhile, is such a solid #1 pick that I forgive any other oversights; after all, we all have gaps in our viewing habits, and no list is perfect. (I’m guessing/hoping Tarantino simply missed out on Shame , for example.) Eh, it’s Woody Allen’s best work in years. It won Best Screenplay at the Globes . I love the thought of Tarantino giving into the romance of it all, since he of all filmmakers gets the allure of nostalgia, clearly. Head over to The Quentin Tarantino Archives for the full list, including Tarantino’s picks for Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Original Screenplay. Emma Stone and company fend off ‘Colombiana’ and ‘Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark.’ By Ryan J. Downey Emma Stone in “The Help” Photo: DreamWorks “The Help” managed to fend off competition from a new action movie, a horror flick and a comedy as the overall box-office suffered from stormy weather on the East Coast. The adaptation of the popular novel took in another $14.3 million over the weekend to remain at number one with a $96.6 million total. The Box Office Top Five: 1. “The Help,” $14.3 million 2. “Colombiana” $10.3 million 3. “Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark” $8.6 million 4. “Rise of the Planet of the Apes” $8.6 million 5. “Our Idiot Brother” $6.5 million Hurricane Irene certainly affected box-office receipts, according to studio estimates released Sunday. Ticket sales were down roughly 23 percent compared with the same period last year. AMC theaters closed all of its theaters in New York, Virginia, Philadelphia, Marlyand and D.C. while Clearview Cinemas and Regal Cinemas closed many locations as well, The Los Angeles Times reported. “The Help” has been in theaters for three weeks now and will certainly cross the $100 million mark domestically soon. Zoe Saldana, whose supporting turns in “Avatar” and “Star Trek” have made her a fan favorite, stars in “Colombiana,” the latest female driven action flick from Luc Besson. The filmmaker behind “Leon: The Professional” and “La Femme Nikita” served as co-writer and producer on the movie (it was directed Olivier Megaton), which has suffered from unfavorable reviews. The revenge-driven tale which stars Saldana as a drug dealer’s daughter turned assassin was #2 at the box office with a $10.3 million debut. “Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark” is another movie with a famous director as co-writer and producer. Guillermo del Toro told Comic-Con audiences that the original “Afraid…,” which was a television movie he saw as a kid, was one of the scariest things he’d ever seen. Katie Holmes stars in the creepy-house centered remake, which took in just $8.6 million in its debut to land at #3. “Our Idiot Brother” was the only of the weekend’s bigger new releases to receive mostly favorable reviews from critics, according to Rotten Tomatoes , but it opened with the worst box-office receipts. The Paul Rudd comedy earned just $6.5 million. REVIEW: Paul Rudd Saves Our Idiot Brother from Total Idiocy

Jesse Peretz’s Our Idiot Brother is a feel-good movie for people who resist feel-good movies, a flawed vessel that nonetheless stays afloat by clinging to its buoyant star, Paul Rudd. Its problems are numerous and apparent: The picture meanders listlessly, and in the end it’s really more of a character sketch than a comedy — the movie’s writers, David Schisgall and Evgenia Peretz (the director’s sister), haven’t really bothered much with a plot. Yet I came out of Our Idiot Brother feeling better than I did when I went in. It’s the kind of movie whose value lies between the lines, not directly on them, and if the pleasures it offers are slender ones, at least there’s something good-hearted about them.

Our Idiot Interviews: Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Banks

A pair of THG favorites are about to hit the big screen together, as Paul Rudd and Elizabeth Banks anchor the cast of Our Idiot Brother , which comes out on Friday. The title pretty much makes it clear, but the film centers around Rudd’s Ned, the runt of a beautiful litter that includes sisters played by Banks, Emily Mortimer and Zooey Deschanel. The former told Movie Fanatic that she can relate to the concept: “I am the oldest, bossiest daughter of a family of four… I have a 26-year-old brother who sells pizza and maybe something else while delivering those pizzas.” Our Idiot Brother Trailer Rudd, meanwhile, said he could relate to one aspect of the film in particular: playing charades. “Despite all of the battling and fighting, we come together,” the actor said. “It was such an emotionally charged moment and scene. It was kind of heartbreaking, because at different points we all sometimes – as hard as you can be – you just want to play charades with your family, but you’re unable to.” For more from Rudd, read his full interview now.

Watch Movieline Fave Bob Stephenson Bust Paul Rudd in New Our Idiot Brother Clip

If the hideous sweater, disgusting mane, and title didn’t tip you off, Paul Rudd’s character in Our Idiot Brother is supposed to be an idiot. Bob Stephenson on the Road to Making it Big, From Cary Grant to David Fincher

Bob Stephenson may not be what you’d call a household name, but he might be the closest thing we have to a household face. Stephenson has appeared in countless commercials and played Deputy Jimmy Taylor on the CBS drama Jericho and Walter Bailey in the ABC series The Forgotten . He was the shy slob who dated Jennifer Aniston in Friends With Money and the airport security guard who confronted Edward Norton about his vibrating suitcase in Fight Club . (He’s appeared in four David Fincher films, in fact.) And beginning this month, the Oxnard-born actor is about to get a lot more big-screen time with his one-two-three-four box-office punch Larry Crowne , Our Idiot Brother , Hick (with Blake Lively and Alec Baldwin) and Lorene Scafaria’s feature debut Seeking a Friend for the End of the World .
