Read Between The Lines as Robert Downey Jr. Forgets Iron Man 2, Talks Iron Man 3

“I think that we have an opportunity with the third Iron Man to make the best of the three, and maybe one of the better superhero movies that’s ever been made. But I think we have to remember what made the first one good. It was very character-driven. It was very odd. It was kind of outrageous. And so I think we have to have the courage to trust that the audience is really kind of cool, and smart.” Ah yes, Robert Downey Jr. , “cool audiences” — the elusive fifth quadrant. Here’s to hoping Iron Man 3 doesn’t repeat the series sophomore slump . [ Omelete via Collider ]

Return of the ‘Pack: The Teaser Trailer for The Hangover Part II Debuts with Help from Jay-Z

When the trailer for Bruno debuted in 2009 , Universal tried to sell audiences on the critical love for Sacha Baron Cohen’s previous summer comedy, Borat . It didn’t work. Cut to 2011, and here comes Warner Bros. using a similar strategy in the first teaser for The Hangover Part II (it looks like those Roman numerals are part of the official title), which uses quotes about the first film to fill up much of the trailer’s length. Is this highly anticipated sequel doomed to face a Bruno -like box office fate?

Can You Honestly Tell the Difference Between Glee and Kidz Bop’s ‘Tik Tok’?

This Glee show that Julie likes is out of control. It’s unfunny, witlessly tone-shifty, and a pox on this Golden Age of Television that keeps happening. Also, the “music” is scathing! Case in point: In the musical preview for next week’s episode, we hear the show’s clear-best character Brittany lead Ke$ha’s “Tik Tok.” Compare that rendition to the Kidz Bop Kids version and tell me if there’s really any difference (besides the awesomely kid-friendly lyrics).

Sam Rockwell on Cowboys and Aliens and Partying with Costars

It’s safe to say that Sam Rockwell and Jon Favreau enjoy a very good working relationship. Favreau gave the actor an uncredited role in his directorial debut Made , considered him to play Tony Stark in the original Iron Man , then let Rockwell do the bulk of Iron Man 2’s scene stealing as Stark’s rival Justin Hammer. At Comic-Con, Movieline spoke to Rockwell for a little while about their newest collaboration: Favreau’s sci-fi western Cowboys and Aliens .

The Tony Awards Use Hollywood Stars and Glee to Great Effect

If you flipped over to the Tony Awards at any moment last night, the chances are good you probably thought it was the Oscars. Or the MTV Movie Awards. Scarlett Johannson won for Best Featured Actress in a play for A View From a Bridge and gave a shout out to her husband, Ryan Reynolds; Catherine Zeta-Jones — remember her? — won for Best Actress in a Musical for A Little Night Music and gave a shout out to her husband, Michael Douglas; and Denzel Washington won for Best Actor in a Play for Fences and — well, pretty much just stammered. And that’s to say nothing of the audience, which included Will Smith, Jay-Z and Beyonce. Oh and Green Day performed. All that was missing was Justin Bieber! And with that reference, here comes Glee stars Lea Michele and Matthew Morrison to perform. Video after the jump.
