Move over, Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas . You aren’t the only famous couple that got engaged over the weekend. Okay, maybe you are. But this doesn’t change the fact that Alaskan Bush People star Noah Brown has confirmed he’s set to marry Rhain Alisha. He alerted fans to this news via a touching Facebook post that reads as follows: Rhain Alisha has been so patient and supporting through everything that has been happening, my mothers cancer, having to leave Alaska, my car keeps breaking down, and all in all I have been thinking of how thankful I am that she moved in with we instead of going back to Oregon and now we are engaged and planing our life together. Rhain Alisha is everything I could have ever wanted. She is my Soulmate my Angel my DreamGirl. She makes me the best Version of myself, I know that as long as she loves me that some day I can be the man that Rhain deserves. Thank you God for giving me Rhain Alisha Merrill. Brown included with these kinds words the picture of Rhain (birth name: Ruth) below: Brown is a cast member on Alaskan Bush People, but he’s been criticized of late by his fans for essentially abandoning his family during their greatest time of need . Some supporters have taken issue with Brown because he’s been sharing social media images of himself and Rhain taking trips to the zoo and other places… … all while his mother, Ami, is dying of lung cancer. Is this a fair critique? We’re really not in a position to say. It’s true that Noah has not said much publicly about his mother’s illness, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he isn’t heartbroken over it. (It’s also true, incredibly, that Noah has a sister named Rain and is now engaged to someone named Rhain. What are the odds?!?) As far as we know, Ami Brown is now out of the hospital. This is positive news, of course. But most outlets still say the family matriarch is pretty much on her death bed . She has stage four lung cancer and it isn’t operable. There isn’t much doctors can do at this point. We continue to send our thoughts and prayers to the Browns, while also wishing Noah the best on his engagement. Back in November of 2016, Jinger Duggar married Jeremy Vuolo in one of the lavish, massively attended ceremonies her family has become known for. From the first kiss shared in front of 1,500 guests to the TLC camera crew capturing every moment, the entire wedding was in keeping with Duggar tradition. Everything that’s come after the “I do’s,” however, has broken the mold. Shortly after the wedding, Jinger and Jeremy moved to Laredo, Texas , thus making her the first of the Duggar girls to permanently relocate outside of Arkansas. In a well-publicized display of sartorial rebellion, Jinger also began wearing pants , thus becoming the first of her generation to flout her parents’ famously strict dress code. But the most salient act of defiance on Jinger’s part is her decision to live a life that flies in the face of the central tenet of the Duggars’ ideology. If you follow the family closely, you know that the Duggars teach their children from a young age that a woman’s primary purpose in life is to have as many children as possible. As a result of that lifelong indoctrination, most Duggar women announce their first pregnancies within a few months of tying the knot. Recently, a new record was set when 19-year-old Joy-Anna Duggar revealed that she got pregnant on her honeymoon within days of marrying Austin Forsyth. So it comes as quite a surprise to fans that almost one full year after getting married, Jinger is still not expecting. Countless Jinger pregnancy rumors have circulated online, but thus far, they’ve all proven bogus. But, of course, that hasn’t been enough to bring an end to the constant scrutiny surrounding Jinger’s uterus. Fan theories abound as to why Jinger and Jeremy have yet to procreate, and now, according to In Touch , many Duggar aficionados are speculating that Jinger might be using birth control . Obviously, in most situations, a young, newly-married woman using birth control wouldn’t be considered remotely unusual. But Jinger is a Duggar, and her parents have made their feelings about contraception clear on numerous occasions. The most memorable, perhaps, is the now-deleted anti-birth control screed that Michelle and Jim Bob’s published on their personal website. Jinger’s parents explained: “As conservative Christians, we believe every life is sacred, even the life of the unborn. Due to our lack of knowledge, we destroyed the precious life of our unborn child.” “We prayed and studied the Bible and found a host of references that told us God considered children a gift, a blessing, and a reward.” “Yet we had considered having another child an inconvenience during that busy time in our lives, and we had taken steps to prevent it from happening.” Obviously, Jinger Duggar’s parents would consider it a personal affront if were revealed that the daughter has been using birth control. That doesn’t mean she is, however. Naturally, there are several reasons why Jinger and Jeremy may be holding off on having children, and not all of them are scandalous. It’s unusual, however, that she hasn’t gotten pregnant yet – that’s simply a fact, based on the track record of all of her married siblings. As such, you can expect that Duggar fans will continue to gravitate toward the explanation with the greatest potential for controversy. View Slideshow: Jinger Duggar-Jeremy Vuolo Engagement Photos! Shortly after she married Jeremy Vuolo in November of 2016, Jinger Duggar became the first of her father’s daughters to permanently relocate from her native Arkansas. Jinger and Jeremy moved to Laredo, Texas after their wedding, and it’s been said that Jim Bob Duggar was less than thrilled by that development. So we’re guessing he’s really not too happy about what the couple may have in store next. Last week, Jeremy got fans buzzing with a tweet about a potential career change. Linking to a post about a job opening at an organization called Banner of Truth, Vuolo tweeted the following: “Ahhhhh!!! I told you this was my dream job.” The ecstatic tone led fans to believe that Vuolo had already accepted the position. That would be an interesting development, as it would require him to move to Edinburgh, Scotland. Banner of Truth’s Twitter page describes it as “a Christian organisation which publishes books, organises conferences, and publishes a monthly magazine. You are what you read.” Currently, Vuolo works as a preacher , and he’s been vocal about his passion for theological research, so it’s not hard to see why the position of editorial assistant at a Christian publishing company would appeal to him. According to the Banner of Truth website, the job would have Vuolo directly involved in the publication of faith-based books and periodicals: “The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the editorial work, from early manuscript development, to detailed editing, proofing, and page design,” the description reads. It’s still unclear if Vuolo has accepted or even applied for the job, but fans are speculating that such a move would outrage Jim Bob for a number of reasons. For starters, if Jim Bob was displeased when Jeremy and Jinger relocated to Texas, we’re guessing he’d really be angry if they up and moved across the pond. On top of that, Jim Bob and Jeremy differ in their religious beliefs to the extent that Jim Bob was reportedly hesitant about giving his daughter permission to marry Vuolo. It seems the primary point of contention is the fact that Jeremy is a Calvinist , a belief system that flies in the face of much that Jim Bob holds dear. Though the movement began in France, Scotland is considered to the epicenter of modern Calvinism, a designation that Jim Bob is no doubt very much aware of. A move to Scotland would send a strong message to Jim Bob from both Jeremy and Jinger, who’s been openly rebelling against some of the draconian strictures of her childhood ever since she became a Vuolo. It’s impossible to predict how Jim Bob would respond, but it will certainly be interesting to see how all of this plays out. Shortly after she married Jeremy Vuolo , Jinger Duggar relocated with her new husband to Laredo, Texas. Jinger’s the first of the Duggar girls to leave Arkansas, and she’s openly discussed the difficulties of living so far away from her massive family. Fortunately, once they’re married, Duggar women are allowed to use social media , so Jinger is now able to connect with her beloved sisters through technology like the Millennial like that she is: On Friday, Jinger posted the above throwback photo of herself with older sister Jessa Duggar, and predictably, fans couldn’t get enough of it. She tagged the photo simply, “Best friends forever!” Obviously, all of the Duggar siblings are close with one another, but in a family that size, it’s only natural that certain pairs would enjoy special bonds, and it seems Jinger and Jessa have been besties since way back. These days, of course, Jinger’s Instagram page is under a microscope due to rumors that she’s pregnant with Jeremy Vuolo’s baby . Fans have been on the hunt for a Jinger Duggar baby bump pretty much from the time she got married, and many believe it’s plain to see from her recent pics that the 23-year-old is expecting. Even an innocent throwback like her most recent post is enough to prompt speculation. Some fans believe it’s Jinger’s way of remaining active on social media while not posting any recent photos of herself. Others believe Jinger is feeling sentimental and longing for home now that she’s soon to be starting a family of her own. But most are able to appreciate the pic for what it is – a simple expression of sisterly love. “Is that Jinger?!?! Jessa, you haven’t changed a bit!! Y’all are so adorable!” wrote one fan. “You guys look absolutely adorable,” commented another. Yes, “adorable” was the word of the day on Jinger’s Instagram. She may be new to social media, but the girl knows how to give her fans what they want. Well, kind of … What they really want is a pregnancy announcement, but it doesn’t look like she’ll be giving in on that one any time soon. Guess they’ll just have to take what they can get for now. Of course, if you’re one of the many Jinger fans who just can’t get enough of the spunky mom-to-be, you can always watch Counting On online at TV Fanatic. After weeks of rumors, several media outlets are now confirming the news that Jinger Duggar is pregnant with her first child. Jinger married Jeremy Vuolo back in November, and at the time, the couple told fans that they planned on starting a family as soon as possible. Last week, photos which some fans believe showed Jinger concealing a baby bump further fueled speculation, and now Duggar insiders have reportedly leaked the news. Not surprisingly, sources claim the Duggars are holding back on confirming the reports so that they can make the reveal to fans on a future episode of the family’s reality show, Counting On: “Jinger and Jeremy are keeping the news under wraps to promote the upcoming season of Counting On,” an insider tells In Touch. The source adds that the pregnancy may prompt Jinger and Jeremy to relocate: “No one would be surprised if they moved back to Arkansas to be with her family.” There’s been no official word yet from Jinger or Jeremy, but that doesn’t necessarily mean the reports are bogus. In the past, the Duggars have gone to great lengths to conceal pregnancies and other big developments from fans until they felt the time was right. When Jessa Duggar was pregnant with her second child , the family managed to keep the news to themselves until well into her second trimester. No mean feat considering the amount of fan scrutiny on her every social media post. Unfortunately, it may be quite some time before Duggar devotees find out for sure if Jinger is expecting, as Counting On isn’t scheduled to return to TLC until sometime this summer. When asked about her pregnancy plans in a recent interview with People magazine, Jinger spoke only in the vaguest terms: “We are just enjoying our life together,” she told the magazine. “We will see what the Lord does.” Some fans have noted that Jinger didn’t mention being pregnant in a recent update she posted to her family’s official blog. Burt again, that doesn’t mean much. The Duggars have based their empire on controlling when and how information about their personal lives is revealed. You can be certain that if and when Jinger confirms she’s knocked up, she’ll do so on her parents’ timetable. Watch Counting On online to get caught up in time for the season to come. Newlywed Jinger Duggar recently stepped out wearing an outfit so risque, card-carrying members of Duggar Nation promptly lost their minds. Seriously. You are not going to believe that a member of the Duggar family, married or not, went out in public exposing this much skin … Yes, that’s Jinger Duggar wearing shorts. Shorts! Normally, a cute 23-year-old girl wearing shorts is hardly news, but in this case it’s literally unprecedented, so that’s the Duggars for you. Skirts and dresses, and long ones at that. Throughout her entire life, Jinger and the rest of the Duggar family have lived by that modest dress code and total intolerance of pants. Jinger, who moved out of the Duggar compound in Arkansas and now lives in Texas after marrying Jeremy Vuolo last fall, looks to be over it. Parading around town in knee-length shorts and a pair of Keds, Jinger’s seemingly inconsequential picture has roiled Duggar fans nationwide. We are 100 percent serious that no Duggar female has ever worn shorts in public, nor have they donned any tempting, form-hugging pants. Jinger’s sisters, Jill and Jessa, have each been photographed wearing snow pants while sledding, but that is nothing like this event. Their mother, Michelle Duggar, has been outspoken in the past about why she and her daughters dress modestly in skirts and dresses. “My daughters are the second generation of modest dressing in this family,” she has said. “They’ve grown up being dressed modestly.” Praising this “feminine apparel,” she says “I’ve told my daughters this has been a joyful journey for me to learn what my Lord has called me to.” “I feel like the Lord is impressing upon me that I should be modest in what I wear [and] defining who I am as a woman by choosing to wear dresses and skirts.” Saying she is inspired by the Bible, Michelle adds that “our interpretation was that from the neck down to the knee should be covered.” “By keeping those private areas covered, there’s not any ‘defrauding’ going on,” the matriarch says, going on to explain: “My kids have all been taught that the definition of defrauding as stirring up desires that cannot be righteously fulfilled.” “We don’t believe in defrauding others by the way we dress.” Michelle is serious about enforcing her family’s dress code, as evidenced by holding them to it even in situations you would not expect. One of those being Joy-Anna Duggar’s workout attire … in which she wears a skirt over loose-fitting workout pants while lifting weights: Talk about going to great lengths. Jill refused to wear a standard firefighter’s uniform while working as a volunteer firefighter EMT, modifying the pants into a skirt as well. The Duggar family also believes that women’s shoulders should not be shown off in public settings because “they may arouse men.” Raw, uncut shoulders. Even Duggar family swimming attire is remarkably un-revealing, as evidenced by this classic photo of Jessa and Ben Seewald in 2015. Any hopes of seeing Jessa Duggar cleavage or even soft-core shoulder action was quickly dashed when she posted this poolside pic: However, Jinger broke that rule during her honeymoon, wearing a loose-fitting, shoulder-revealing top during one of her video posts. Perhaps she’s bucking this family tradition altogether. Believe it or not, she was even seen wearing her hair in a ponytail and not the typical, Jim-Bob Duggar-approved long-flowing curls. Of course, even by Duggar standards, she’s not technically “defrauding” anyone with the shorts, which still go down to Jinger’s knees. There is no “stirring up desires [in men] that cannot be righteously fulfilled” here, either from the shorts or the fact that she’s married. If Jeremy Vuolo finds himself in a perpetual state of arousal after seeing this, well, he and his wife are now free to act upon those desires. The days of side hugs are long gone, people … Naturally, the Duggar fan community went nuts over the shorts pic, with one fan writing “Wow, amazing!! Maybe Jinger finally is ‘free’!” That quote comes to us from a member of Free Jinger, a forum actually named after Jinger Duggar and fans’ desire for her to be … free. A Pickles and Hairspray Facebook fan adds: “Looky! Jinger in shorts and she isn’t even swimming! It’s always nice to see a Duggar kid give the finger to their parents’ crazy restrictive rules!” “Feel like this a major victory! Wearing SHORTS!!!” another fan commented, celebrating the end of a lifetime of sharing “modern modest” pics. Victory or not, all of this begs the question: View Slideshow: 13 Disturbing Things BANNED By the Duggar Family What did Michelle think when she saw this pic? Did her daughter clear this with her mom and dad ahead of time, or is she officially her own woman, free to make decisions for herself? Is Jinger doing this now because always she’s always been a rebel who has wanted to wear shorts and was forbidden to by her parents? Did she just discover that shorts are a thing?! Is it because her husband Jeremy has told her that he wants her to wear shorts, and she’s obliging his more modern fashion preferences? Will Joy-Anna and her younger siblings follow Jinger’s lead and eventually adopt a more conventional style of dress, defying Michelle? So many mysteries in these strange times. Now that Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo are married , Duggar rules say they’re free to do whatever they want with each other (so long as it’s done in the name of procreation). But recent episodes of the Duggar’s reality series have taken place before the wedding, and we’re beginning to learn a bit more about the weeks leading up to the nuptials. In the past, there’s been controversy over Jinger and Jeremy violating “courtship rules” prior to their marriage. At the time, the talk was largely dismissed as tabloid chatter, but now we know that the Duggars themselves spent some time talking about Jinge and Jer getting a little too handsy. On last night’s episode of Counting On , Jessa Duggar commented on Jinger and Jeremy’s “affectionate” behavior in a way that smacks of “Jinger and Jeremy are much more ‘huggy’ and affectionate, but to each their own.” “To each their own,” says a woman who believes that everyone reading this is going to hell for like 87 million different reasons. This is like when someone says, “I don’t mean to be offensive, but…” and then says something completely offensive. You can’t just tack a half-assed dismissal onto the end of sentence to negate the passive-aggressive smack talk that came before it. If Jessa really didn’t care about Jinger and Jeremy’s “huggy” ways, she just wouldn’t have commented at all. Also, “to each their own”? Is Jessa super woke in terms of her gender-neutral pronoun usage, or did she just skip homeschool that day they learned about grammar? We’re leaning toward the latter, but hey – to each her own. Look, obviously we could care less if Jinger and Jeremy swapped partners at a 70s-style key party before they got married. We’re just calling out the Duggars for some of their most blatant hypocrisy to date. This is the same family whose repressive approach to sex ed gave the world Josh Duggar. Now that Jinger has been caught violating the rules they’ve been drumming into their kids’ heads since they were born, it’s all good because the guy is a preacher and his name starts with “J”? Not hard to see why Jessa is a little salty about the situation. You would be too if your first kiss was on your wedding night because your parents are insane, but they let your sister off the leash because they like her boyfriend more. Katherine Heigl may have a reputation as someone who is difficult to work with on set. But she’s also gaining a reputation as one of Hollywood’s most prolific mothers. According to People Magazine, the former Grey’s Anatomy star and husband Josh Kelley welcomed a little boy into the world back on Tuesday, December 20. His name is Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr. Heigl and Kelley were already parents to girl Adalaide, 4, and Naleigh, 8, when they were blessed in life for the third time. The actress broke her pregnancy news to People in June of last year. “The Kelley clan is thrilled to announce that we are expecting a third addition to our family,” the star told the publication at that time, adding: “Naleigh and Adalaide could not be more excited to welcome their new sibling into the fold, and Josh and I are overflowing with joy and gratitude.” Heigl is 38 and Kelley is 36 and the couple resides in Utah. After leaving Grey’s Anatomy amidst some controversy (most notably slamming the show’s writers one year for not giving her Emmy-worth material), Heigl starred in a number of pretty successful films. There was Knocked Up and 27 Dresses, for example. She then tried a return to television last year via the NBC drama State of Affairs, but it only lasted one season. She will next be seen in early 2017, giving the TV thing another try with CBS’ legal program Doubt. “This is an incredibly exciting time for us filled with hope, anticipation and hormones. Well, only I’m filled with hormones, but everyone in the family gets to enjoy them,” Heigl joked to People last summer. “We couldn’t be more excited to be able to finally share this news with our fans, and are looking forward to continuing to share the journey with you all.” Heigl made a point over the past few months to keep fans apprised as to the state of her pregnancy, both via her Instagram account and personal home and lifestyle blog, Heavenly Days. Here is one photo of the actress in her third trimester: “It’s hard enough for me to get motivated to work out when I’m not pregnant but now that I am it’s 10 times harder,” she blogged in September, explaining further: “I’m not up for weight training, lengthy cardio workouts or any of those new and fashionable exercise classes. What I am up for is yoga! Good thing plenty of those classes exist. While Heigl is now a three-time mother, this actually marked her first birth. She had adopted her two daughters. “We were considering adoption again, fostering, or pregnancy if possible,” she said in June, adding: “Seeing as I have never been pregnant and as my OB/GYN reminded me last year, I’m of advanced maternal age, I wasn’t sure pregnancy was even in the cards for us. Turns out it was very much in the cards!” Hooray! View Slideshow: Stars Expecting Babies in 2017: Who’s Ready to Pop?
