Scotty McCreery just experienced what he described on Twitter as the “worst morning of his life.” And for a very understandable reason. The winner of American Idol Season 10 and his roommates at North Carolina State University were victims of a home invasion inside their off-campus residence in Raleigh. According to local TV station WTVD, the 20-year old was actually ordered to the ground by armed suspects who took cash, wallets and electronics. They told McCreery and his friends to face down and count to 100 as they made their escape. No one was injured in the incident. “Yes, it was definitely very scary,” Scotty wrote on Facebook this afternoon. “Luckily, my friends and I are safe and the Raleigh PD is on the case. I will share more when the time is right, but as of now we do not want to do or say anything that could hinder the investigation. “Thanks to everyone for the prayers and support. A huge thank you to the Raleigh PD for their quick response and hard work in solving this case.” Raleigh police have released a 911 call from someone at McCreery’s house who says: “They took everything we have.
