Jenelle Evans: Teen Mom 2 Ratings PLUMMET Without the Carolina Hurricane!

It's been five months since Jenelle Evans was fired  by MTV. But since Teen Mom 2 was on hiatus at the time, we're only now finding out how the show will fare without its primary source of drama. So far, it seems the answer is – not well. Not well at all. According to The Ashley's Reality Roundup, ratings have been on the decline for years, but have taken a particularly sharp dive of late. In fact, they've suffered their most significant drop yet in the first episodes of Season 9B … a.k.a. the first episodes without Jenelle. Can the show survive without its most infamous star? Will the numbers drop so low that MTV will be forced to try and win her back? Even if that happened, does Jenelle have any interest in returning to the reality TV franchise that made her famous … and infamous? Here's what we know about the situation thus far: 1. The End of an Era Yes, after nearly a decade on camera, three children and more ups and downs than we can even count, Jenelle Evans is no longer a Teen Mom 2 cast member. And it seems the show is already suffering without its most marketable star. 2. A Controversial Star Jenelle was liked by many viewers, and even those who hated her loved to watch her. In fact, based on social media comments, it often felt as though the only thing preventing some viewers from fast-forwarding through Jenelle’s scenes was the joy of “hate-watching.” 3. The Nugget Incident Over the years, producers put up with a LOT of unseemly behavior from the Carolina Hurricane over the years, but they finally drew the line when she defended her husband after he beat, shot, and killed her French bulldog puppy, Nugget. 4. Put Out to Pasture Following that horrifying incident (and the ensuing CPS investigation that briefly cost Evans’ custody of her kids), MTV executives basically did to Jenelle’s career what David did to Nugget. 5. Good Riddance? To the immense satisfaction of many viewers fed up with her nonsense, Jenelle was fired from the show that made her famous. And since David had already been canned by producers, the Evans-Eason era was officially at an end. 6. The Last Laugh? Now, however, it seems that Teen Mom 2 and MTV might miss all those viewers who tuned in just to jeer at Jenelle – whether they loved her or loved to hate her. View Slideshow

City Of Atlanta Raises $50 Million To Create Homes For The Homeless

Follow this link:

T he city of Atlanta has made a major stride in combating homelessness. According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution , Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms announced that $50 million has been raised to build houses for over 500 families who are without shelter. Mayor @KeishaBottoms announced that Atlanta had reached its goal of raising $50 million to provide 550 homes for the city’s homeless population. https://t.co/qeBTn1YlE5 — AJC (@ajc) August 26, 2019 The HomeFirst Atlanta initiative—which was launched in 2017 when former Mayor Kasim Reed was in office—was created after Atlanta’s largest shelter shuttered. The shelter served over 500 individuals each night. In an effort to develop a sustainable solution for the homeless population, community leaders and political officials teamed up with the United Way Regional Commission on Homelessness and Invest Atlanta to develop a fund that would provide housing so that individuals could focus on rebuilding their lives. Half of the $50 million came from the Homeless Opportunity Bond sale led by Reed and the rest of the funds were from private donors. Bottoms believes that this collaborative effort will make lasting changes in the lives of individuals who need assistance. “HomeFirst will create 550 units of permanent supportive housing that will be part of larger developments that will contribute, in aggregate, more than 2,500 units of affordable housing,” she said in a statement, according to The Atlanta Voice . “We are building a compassionate community of trusted partners who approach homelessness in a strategic, transparent and accountable way. The results show that it is working.” Organizers of the initiative are aiming to make resources more accessible for those struggling with homelessness. “It is a miss-perception that many people have: that homelessness is represented entirely by the people they see on the streets,” Jack Hardin , Co-Chair of the Atlanta Regional Commission on Homelessness told the news outlet. “A far larger proportion of people experiencing homelessness have incomes and function at very high levels, but live on the margins of the economics of our society and any hardship can derail.” There have been several projects launched in Atlanta to combat the city’s homelessness issue. Earlier this year, Gwinnett officials awarded nearly $1 million to an organization that had plans to build two shelters in the county. Kodak Black – Set To Plead Guilty In Federal Gun Bust Case (Exclusive)

Source: Scott Dudelson / Getty Rapper Accused Of Lying To Illegally Obtain Firearms Rapper Kodak Black is set to plead guilty to federal weapons charges next week, BOSSIP has learned. The troubled artist is set to admit his guilt in open court next week that he lied in order to illegally purchase guns during what’s known as a “change of plea” hearing in the case, according to court documents obtained by BOSSIP. Although he initially pleaded not guilty, Kodak’s about-face likely means he’s struck some kind of plea deal with federal prosecutors to end the case, though it was unclear Friday. We’ve reached out to Kodak’s lawyer, Bradford Cohen, for comment. The feds nabbed Kodak – who has changed his legal name to Bill K. Kapri – back in May at the Rolling Loud Festival, moments before he was set to take the stage. They raided his tour bus, and he’s been held without bail ever since. Kodak’s current charge of making false statements in connection with the acquisition of a firearm carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison, three years of parole and up to $250,000 in fines. Besides the gun charges case, the prosecutor in his South Carolina rape case asked a judge to revoke his $100,000 bond because of his repeated arrests. A high school girl accused Kodak of sexually assaulting her following a concert in Columbia in 2016. The judge in the rape case has yet to rule on the prosecutor’s request.

Tony Orlanda Singleton gets life in prison for raping and impregnating a 10-year-old in 2016. https://t.co/rxhOyMizLj — WTHR.com (@WTHRcom) August 8, 2019 According to court documents , Singleton came into a room while she was watching cartoons in a home in Estill in April 2016, turned off the lights and raped her. He was found guilty on Wednesday of first-degree criminal sexual assault and will spend the rest of his life in prison without the possibility of parole. Prosecutor Hunter Swanson said in court, “This girl should be getting ready to go back to school, making friends, braiding her hair – things other girls her age typically are engaged in. Instead, she’s in a courtroom, reliving a horrific ordeal. Tony Singleton is to blame for that. This man was someone she trusted, someone who lurked inside her home, someone who changed the fabric of his victim’s life forever.” There truly are some sick people out here in the world.

Source: Columbia Police Department / Columbia Police Department Apparently the Simmons DNA runs long in the south. A man who resembles Darkman X is on the run for some gunplay. South Carolina police are looking for a man who bears a very strong resemblance to rapper DMX . So much so that the lawmen had to clear the MC’s name after a sketch of the culprit was released. The department stated the drawing was completed “with the assistance of a crime witness” who said that the gunman looked just like the Yonkers native. Columbia Police Department Deputy Chief Melron Kelly detailed the process that led to the doppleganger. ”We always let the witness dictate the process and how everything unfolds,” he explained. “We make sure the witness sees everything we do and is comfortable with whatever rendering that we make.” He went on to confirm that DMX is not a suspect in case. “I guarantee you he’s not,” Kelly said. The official police report states that  “on June 19, 2019, CPD officers were initially dispatched to the 4400 block of Blossom Street. Upon arrival, they located the 27-year-old male victim outside of an apartment complex with an injury to the lower body.” The suspect is described as being a tall, slender black male, possibly 30-years-old with a short haircut and well-groomed beard. If you have any tips regarding the crime you can call Crime Stoppers at 888-CRIME-SC. TMZ caught up with DMX who pointed out that you never see a police sketch with that much detail. He also made sure to let everyone know he’s in New York. — Photo: WENN.com

#BlackExcellence: Atlanta Teen Accepted To 39 Universities And Awarded $1.6 Million In Scholarships

While famous white celebs have to bribe folks to bolster the chances for their mediocre children to get into top universities around the country, this Black Atlanta teen embodies what it means to honestly achieve greatness by her own merit. According to CBS 46 , Jordan Nixon, a 17-year-old senior at Douglas County High, has been accepted into 39 schools and has been awarded a whopping $1.6 million in scholarships. The potential international business major was first accepted by HBCU Grambling State University. “The crazy thing is, I’m still waiting on decision letters, but I was not expecting that at all,” Nixon told CBS 46. But looking at her impressive resume, this shouldn’t be shocking news to anyone. “I am one of the captains of the varsity cheer team here at Douglas County, I’m in Chick-fil-A Leader Academy, and I also participate in DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America),” she added. Douglas County High student confirms that they have never had a student that got into this many schools before. “Students like Jordan who took advantage of being able to apply to a lot of schools through certain avenues like the Common Black App, you can apply to a lot of schools with one low price for that one, and also Common App they can apply to up to 20 schools at one time on one App,” said Pinky Quick, the College and Career Center Specialist at Douglass County High School. And of course, her parents couldn’t be more elated. “We’re so happy for her because she does put in a lot of due diligence into applying for these schools,” Nixon’s parents, Angelia and Arthur Nixon, stressed. Nixon, who has not yet decided on a school, hopes her story will inspire other high school students to push themselves beyond what they think they are capable of. “I wanted to challenge myself,” Nixon told the outlet. “That was the most important thing for me, just to show others anything is possible and that anyone can accomplish it too.” Nixon has until May 1 to make her final choice. We support any choice you make Jordan. Congrats!
