It's been five months since Jenelle Evans was fired by MTV. But since Teen Mom 2 was on hiatus at the time, we're only now finding out how the show will fare without its primary source of drama. So far, it seems the answer is – not well. Not well at all. According to The Ashley's Reality Roundup, ratings have been on the decline for years, but have taken a particularly sharp dive of late. In fact, they've suffered their most significant drop yet in the first episodes of Season 9B … a.k.a. the first episodes without Jenelle. Can the show survive without its most infamous star? Will the numbers drop so low that MTV will be forced to try and win her back? Even if that happened, does Jenelle have any interest in returning to the reality TV franchise that made her famous … and infamous? Here's what we know about the situation thus far: 1. The End of an Era Yes, after nearly a decade on camera, three children and more ups and downs than we can even count, Jenelle Evans is no longer a Teen Mom 2 cast member. And it seems the show is already suffering without its most marketable star. 2. A Controversial Star Jenelle was liked by many viewers, and even those who hated her loved to watch her. In fact, based on social media comments, it often felt as though the only thing preventing some viewers from fast-forwarding through Jenelle’s scenes was the joy of “hate-watching.” 3. The Nugget Incident Over the years, producers put up with a LOT of unseemly behavior from the Carolina Hurricane over the years, but they finally drew the line when she defended her husband after he beat, shot, and killed her French bulldog puppy, Nugget. 4. Put Out to Pasture Following that horrifying incident (and the ensuing CPS investigation that briefly cost Evans’ custody of her kids), MTV executives basically did to Jenelle’s career what David did to Nugget. 5. Good Riddance? To the immense satisfaction of many viewers fed up with her nonsense, Jenelle was fired from the show that made her famous. And since David had already been canned by producers, the Evans-Eason era was officially at an end. 6. The Last Laugh? Now, however, it seems that Teen Mom 2 and MTV might miss all those viewers who tuned in just to jeer at Jenelle – whether they loved her or loved to hate her. View Slideshow
It is now official: Not only is Justin Bieber a married man, but Justin Bieber is a happily married man. That much is now evident. The singer and Hailey Baldwin got married on September 13, 2018 in a courthouse in New York City. But they didn’t get a chance to celebrate with any family members or friends at the time; nor did they get a chance to express their love for each other in a religious sense, considering this was a brief civil ceremony. Therefore, on Monday evening in South Carolina, Bieber and Baldwin went ahead and exchanged vows for a second time. As detailed in the gallery/slideshow below, Justin and Hailey invited about 150 guests to watch them commit to each other forever and ever. There weren’t any photos from the big day, however… UNTIL NOW! Several hours after multiple outlets reported on the couple’s second wedding, Bieber shared a handful of images from the celebratory event on his Instagram account. He also made a cheeky reference to Baldwin in the process. “My bride is [fire emoji],” the groom captioned a series of shots from the reception’s photobooth, which featured their “The Biebers” logo and wedding date in the corner. In the first black and white photo, the gorgeous bride — rocking some five carat, Tiffany & Co. diamond earrings – is seen pulling at her love’s bow tie while he delicately locks lips with her. In the second picture, the newlyweds are being silly for the camera, with Baldwin sticking out her tongue while Justin puts on a confused face. The model also posted the following snapshot on her own social media page: Among the well-known attendees at the Montage Palmetto Bluff hotel in Bluffton, South Carolina for Monday’s traditional, religious wedding? Kendall and Kylie Jenner, Kris Jenner, Jaden Smith, Justine Skye and Justin’s manager, Scooter Braun. As you can see below, the bride and groom weren’t the only ones who had a blast at the reception: Baldwin, for her part, hasn’t talked a ton about her relationship. But did she open up to Vogue earlier this year and sounded very grounded about the entire concept of love and marriage, telling the magazine: “It’s always going to be hard. “You don’t wake up every day saying, ‘I’m absolutely so in love and you are perfect.’ That’s not what being married is. “But there’s something beautiful about it anyway — about wanting to fight for something, commit to building with someone. We’re really young, and that’s a scary aspect. “We’re going to change a lot. The Harlem native, who has had a known affinity for the peddle driven vehicles, has inked a deal for his own signature two-wheeler. On Tuesday, June 4 BMX bike brand Redline announced their collaboration with him on an exclusive limited-edition bike and original merch line. The Hood Pope detailed how special this initiative is to him and his historic community. “When you think BMX bike in Harlem, you think Redline,” says A$AP Ferg, “This collaboration is something I was really involved in and passionate about.” Ferg originally debuted his exclusive Redline bike during his performance the Something In The Water festival in Virginia Beach. The new bike’s design aspects include slack forks, plus-sized tires, 27.5 wheels and disc brakes. In addition, the bike features style accents like A$AP Ferg x Redline branding as well as a unique Pantone 394 fade to Matte Black finish. “RL 275 is one of our top bikes for the BMX market and to combined it with someone as influential as A$AP Ferg has been exciting for us,” says Redline brand manager, Steven Behen. “Redline has maintained a loyal following for years and these types of organic collaborations will help propel our growth and expand brand awareness to a new generation and customer.” You can find out more information here . Last month, fans were stunned by the news that Jinger Duggar plans to move to Los Angeles so that her husband, Jeremy Vuolo, can study at a highly-regarded divinity school. The couple shared the news with fans on their respective Instagram pages: “Through much prayer and counsel, the next step for our family is to relocate to Los Angeles to attend Grace Community Church as Jeremy pursues graduate studies at The Master’s Seminary,” they wrote. At the time, it was rumored that Jim Bob and Michelle were less than thrilled by the move. In fact, some went so far as to claim that Jinger had been disowned by her parents . Obviously, that sounds absurd — but then again, there are many things about the Duggars that sound absurd. And the fact that weeks had gone by without Michelle or Jim Bob commenting on Jinger’s relocation served to lend credence to the reports that she was on the outs with her folks. Now, however, insiders are claiming that Jinger’s parents are “thrilled” with her decision to head west. Of course, this is one of those cases where the statement was made through a “source” and did not come from Jim Bob and Michelle directly. In other news, the situation raises more questions than it answers. For starters, why won’t Jim Bob and Michelle speak on the matter directly? Secondly, if it’s true that the elder Duggars are cool with Jinger’s decision to move — why is that? Have they softened in their stance toward Jeremy? Have they become more laid back in their old age to the point that they no longer have a problem with the idea of their daughter living in a bastion of secular liberalism. (Longtime Duggar fans will remember that Jinger considered moving to New York City in her youth, and the idea was promptly shot down by her parents.) It’s possible, of course, that the Duggars have come to accept Jinger’s rebellious nature. When she first married Vuolo, it was rumored that she and her parents were no longer on speaking terms. That’s not surprising, as Jeremy’s more liberal (by Duggar standards) views often brought him into conflict with his in-laws. The most famous example is that Jeremy gave Jinger permission to wear pants in violation of the Duggar dress code, but there were numerous other doctrinal disputes, as well. But these days, Jeremy is supporting Jinger in the fashion she’s accustomed to, and more importantly, he’s provided Jim Bob and Michelle with another grandchild — which seems to be all those two care about these days. Earlier this month, we reported that Chantel and Pedro are getting their very own spinoff , called The Family Chantel . But they're also appearing in the new season of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? (which premieres Sunday, April 28). In a new sneak peek, this couple is struggling to trust each other after the drama of Pedro's fight with Chantel's family. It's no secret that Chantel's family has major issues with Pedro. Viewers are still not over the incident in which Pedro stormed around the table to physically confront Chantel's brother. What followed was a full-on brawl. Producers leapt out from behind the cameras to break up the fight. Yes, there is such a thing as too much drama. Even after things appeared to have wound down, Pedro lashed out, kicking dishes on Chantel's mother's table. (Chantel's mom has since bought a taser in case anything like that happens again) In this new 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? sneak peek, we see that Chantel and Pedro are still dealing with the aftermath of that fight. And tensions are running high. “After the fight with Chantel's family,” Pedro confesses. “I no feel like emotional support [from] her for me.” “When your wife is not at your side,” he continues. “When your wife thinking all the problem is you,” Pedro adds. He expresses: “that make me feel like I am nothing at all.” “I'm like f–king s–t,” he characterizes. Pedro brings up that Chantel has blamed him. Real talk: it sounds like this is the emotional fallout from an angry outburst of Chantel's. If you tell your husband that he's the troublemaker right now, he's going to take that to heart. He feels betrayed and unloved that Chantel doesn't want to have a child right now. But Chantel says that Pedro misunderstands. “I don't feel like Pedro understands where I'm coming from,” Chantel expresses while speaking to the camera. She says that this confusion comes into play “when I say that I don't want to have children in a chaotic family.” Right now, her family is a huge mess — and she wouldn't want to force that situation upon a child. “I just don't want to have a child right now,” Chantel explains. She continues: “and have that child torn between my family and Pedro like I am.” That makes a tremendous amount of sense. After viewers saw her break down crying last year after Pedro attacked her family (and their table settings), everyone wondered: Is Chantel going to have to pick a side eventually? An alternative, of course, would be for her to just not mention disagreements with Pedro (or rather, Pedro's sister, Nicole). But that doesn't sound super emotionally healthy … or like a recipe for great reality television. Tragically, the only people in this sneak peek are Chantel and Pedro. Nobody — nobody — loves being on television as much as Chantel's mother. Her entire family is very entertaining. Which is, of course, why they've landed a spinoff series: The Family Chantel . The title itself comes from a phrase that Pedro used in the very episode in which the alarming fight broke out.
Hey, was last week’s episode of Game of Thrones a little too slow for you? Maybe you could’ve done with a little less reminiscing and goblet-sipping, and a little more of the sex and swordplay the show is famous for. Well if that’s the case, you’re in luck. Sunday night’s episode is certain to traumatize viewers for life with the deaths of several key characters. We’ve already discussed the various theories and who will die, and the consensus seems to be that some of GoT’s most badass warriors will be struck down at the Battle of Winterfell. (That’s also rumored to the episode title, although HBO is keeping that information under wraps again this week.) It’s not looking good for Brienne of Tarth, who basically competed her character arc by becoming a knight of the Seven Kingdoms. Similarly, Grey Worm fantasized about taking a relaxing vacation with Missandei, which is basically the Westeros equivalent of a cop fanstasizing about his upcoming retirement in an ’80s action movie. Even Arya’s not safe, as her sex scene with Gendry puts her at an increased risk for joining the Night’s Army. (Anyone who’s ever seen a horror movie knows that teens who lose their virginity are that much more likely to be dispatched in gory fashion shortly thereafter.) Of course, if Game of Thrones is anything, it’s unpredictable. The show has trafficked in shocking twists ever since the day Ned Stark lost his head playing politics in King’s Landing. So attempting to predict how the final four episodes will play out is a bit like trying to guess the subject of Trump’s next all-caps tweet tirade. Even the Three-Eyed Raven doesn’t know what goes in on inside that skull. So perhaps all of the brave warriors who fans have marked for death will still be standing at the end of the battle. And maybe the Night King will target a more vulnerable group. As you probably recall, Bran, Tyrion, Sam, and others who have been deemed unfit for battle will be hiding in the crypts below Winterfell. It’s a bad sign that multiple characters felt the need to proclaim how safe the crypts are in what might turn out to be a bit of heavy-handed foreshadowing. It’s an even worse sign that Yes, if you spend much time in the GoT-obsessed corners of the internet, then by now, you’ve probably heard multiple theories about the Night King making a beeline for Bran and the rest of the crypt keepers. The most obvious hypothesis is that meme-able mic dropper will raise the dead and use them to help wage war against the defenseless. But there are other possibilities as well. Some believe NK was a Stark in life and that he’ll be drawn to the crypts for different reasons. Perhaps to retrieve Rhaegar Targaryen’s legendary harp, which might confer some sort of magical properties to the carrier, or might somehow be used to confrim Jon Snow’s true identity. Others believe the Night King is Rhaegar — though that seems unlikely given what we’ve already seen of his origin story. (Though it’s worth noting that while the show suggests the Children of the Forest created the White Walkers centuries before the main action of GoT, this may not be the case.) In any event, GoT S8E3 is sure to feature some epic warfare. In fact, it’s rumored that we’ll be seeing the longest battle sequence in the history of film or television. But it also promises much more than that — plot twists and character deaths that will set the stage for the final three episodes and the conclusion of the series. Aegon Targaryen himself, Kit Harington, has gone on record as saying that no one he’s spoken to yet has correctly predicted the ending. So we’ll hold off on even trying. Instead we’ll be here imagining how wild it would be if the the Walkers somehow emerged victorious. Would be cool to see, but the remaining episodes would probably get pretty boring with no dialogue. The book—which is being sold by retailers like Amazon and Barnes & Noble—was so effective that it was selected to be added to the Library of Congress’ collection of over 39 million books. The story is centered on siblings who are vying to become their school’s next leader and they square off in a debate before their classmates. “I developed the character of Kayla when Nicholas was younger to help teach him expanded vocabulary. After being praised by his first-grade teacher for using the word ‘collaborate’ during his first week of school, I asked Nicholas what he thought about writing a book to help his friends expand their vocabularies,” said Buamah’s mother Danielle in a statement, according to the news outlet. “He thought it was a great idea, as long as one of the main characters could be a male figure, and that’s when he created Kyle.” Buamah wants his book included in school libraries throughout the country. The next installment of his Walking Dictionary series is slated to be released in Summer 2019. He wants to use the series as an avenue to help students develop literacy skills. Buamah has other goals that span outside of the literary world. He hopes to become a mechanical engineer one day. There are many young Black authors on the rise. 8-year old author Jamarion Rainey released a book entitled ADHD and Me: The Key to help other youngsters dealing with ADHD.
