A 13-year-old girl is on life support two days after a fight on campus at Attucks Middle School. Kashala Francis ‘ mother Mamie Jackson says her daughter was attacked by two girls after school on Thursday. A third girl jumped in and kicked Kashala in the head. Jackson says when her daughter returned home after school Thursday that she was okay and just had a bruise on her face. As the days progressed, Kashala complained of a painful headache. Jackson told her daughter over the phone to lie down. By the time first responders arrived at their home, Kashala was unconscious. She was rushed to Texas Children’s Hospital and doctor’s made a tragic discovery. “We found out she has a large tumor in the back of her head, and she had fluid buildup in her brain,” Jackson said. The tumor was unknown to family members before doctors discovered it on Sunday. There’s no word on whether or not the fight contributed to Kashala’s condition or if it were a pre-existing condition. HISD in a statement wrote, “The district is aware that several Attucks Middle School students were involved in an off-campus altercation on Thursday. HISD is gathering information and cooperating with the Houston Police Department in its investigation.” RELATED:  South Carolina Fifth Grader Died Of Natural Causes, Not A Fight According To Solicitor RELATED:  5-Year-Old Girl Abducted, Assaulted Outside Elementary School To Lure Sister Into Fight

Kodak Black Indicted For Sex Assault

Florida Rapper Accused Of Attacking Woman After South Carolina Show A Grand Jury has indicted Kodak Black on charges that he raped a teenage fan after a concert in 2016. The jury handed down the indictment in April for felony criminal sexual conduct in the first degree, nearly a year after police in Florence, South Carolina first arrested the “Tunnel Vision” rapper, Twelfth Circuit Solicitor Ed Clements told BOSSIP. According to public records, his alleged teen victim told police that he attacked her at a local Comfort Inn & Suites, biting her neck and breasts during the alleged assault. If convicted, Kodak faces up to 35 years in prison. He has remained out on $100,000 bail. Kodak Black’s attorney, Beattie Ashmore, told BOSSIP he was well aware of the indictment and characterized it as simply part of the judicial process. No trial date has been set yet, and it wasn’t immediately clear Monday when Kodak Black was due back in court.

Hide Ya Kids: Teacher Popped By One-Time For Chopping Down 17-Year-Old Boy

What do these teachers see in these underage boys? Teacher Arrested For Having Sex With Student Teachers are supposed to mold our youth not fawk them. Disgusting. According to Reading Eagle reports: A Tulpehocken High School physical education teacher was arrested Wednesday and charged with having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old male student. Nicole Kurowski, who was also a cheerleading coach, surrendered to authorities and was arraigned on an institutional sexual assault charge before District Judge Thomas M. Gauby Sr. She was released on $25,000 bail. State police said the teacher was engaged in a sexual relationship with the student during the 2012-13 school year. Troopers said a few instances of indecent contact occurred during school hours. Dr. Edward J. Albert, Tulpehocken School District superintendent, said Kurowski is suspended without pay. He attended her arraignment. Albert said he was made aware of the situation on Sept. 2, Labor Day. He said he received a tip from a person whom he would not identify. “I got the tip and I immediately got on the phone with the school board president (Scott W. Klopp) and our solicitor (Brian Boland),” Albert said. “I take this matter very seriously.” On that same day, Albert contacted state police and District Attorney John T. Adams. A preliminary investigation was conducted from Tuesday through Thursday that same week. Albert said Kurowski was initially suspended with pay. However, now that she’s been charged she is no longer being paid, Albert said. State police investigators recovered text messages and pictures with the assistance of the Berks County District Attorney’s Computer Crimes Unit and the state police Bureau of Criminal Investigations. The text messages were analyzed and it was apparent that Kurowski and the student engaged in conversations on a daily basis during and after-school hours, troopers said. Photos and messages stating “I love you” were exchanged between Kurowski and the student, troopers said. Some messages were sexually explicit, trooper said. “Any further discipline will be based on the ending of the investigation and the hearing,” Albert said. In the five years Albert has served as the district’s superintendent, he said he has not had to deal with such an issue. They should have fired her not suspended her without pay. SMH. CBS, NBC Skip Pelosi Threat to Investigate Opposition to Ground Zero Mosque

Only Good Morning America’s Jake Tapper on Thursday mentioned the call by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to investigate those who oppose the construction of a mosque near Ground Zero. CBS’s Early Show and NBC’s Today both skipped any discussion of the subject. So did Wednesday night’s network newscasts. Tapper explained, “And the House top Democrat also called for transparency for who is funding the opposition to the Islamic center.” He then featured a clip of Pelosi advocating, “And I have joined those who have called for looking into how is this opposition to the mosque being funded.” However, Tapper also described GOP opposition to the Ground Zero mosque this way: ” Some of the opposition is being ginned up by the group founded by Republicans William Kristol and Liz Cheney, which has started running this web video, featuring family members of 9/11 victims.” “Ginned up” is not a term often used for liberal organizations A transcript of the August 19 segment, which aired at 7:04am EDT, follows: ASHLEIGH BANFIELD: Some developments in the controversy over the Islamic center and mosque near Ground Zero. Two New York leaders, Governor David Paterson, and the leader of the Catholic Church in the city, have suggested that the center be moved to another site. The issue is following the President, too, as he begins his vacation today on Martha’s Vineyard, where we catch up with Jake Tapper this morning. Jake? JAKE TAPPER: Good morning, Ashleigh. Well, that’s right, President Obama arrives here later today, hoping to get a break from the depressing economic news, the grueling reports from the front lines in Afghanistan and, of course, that contentious debate of that proposed Islamic center two blocks from Ground Zero. The President went to Ohio to campaign for Democrats and to talk about jobs. BARACK OBAMA: We are moving in the right direction. TAPPER: But, inevitably, he was asked whether he had any regrets about joining the controversy over the proposed Islamic center near Ground Zero, so overwhelmingly opposed by the public. OBAMA: The answer is no regrets. TAPPER: House Speaker Nancy Pelosi echoed the President’s support for freedom of religion. She also called for transparency for who will pay for the project, which some estimates price at $100 million. And the House top Democrat also called for transparency for who is funding the opposition to the Islamic center. NANCY PELOSI: And I have joined those who have called for looking into how is this opposition to the mosque being funded. TAPPER: Some of the opposition is being ginned up by the group founded by Republicans William Kristol and Liz Cheney , which has started running this web video, featuring family members of 9/11 victims. UNIDENTIFIED MAN: This mosque, it’s wrong. It’s so wrong. TAPPER: Not every Republican agrees. Ted Olson, the Solicitor General for President George W. Bush, whose wife was killed on 9/11, said President Obama is right. TED OLSON: We don’t want to turn an act of hate against us, by extremists, into an act of intolerance for people of religious faith. TAPPER: And, Ashleigh, on the heels of this debate, a new Pew poll indicates that a growing number of Americans believe, wrongly, that president Obama is a Muslim. It’s 18 percent believe he’s a Muslim. That’s up from 11 percent last year. They were wrong last year. And the 18 percent are wrong this year. Ashleigh? BANFIELD: Wow. So much for vacation, huh? All right, Jake. Thanks very much.

Mark of the Beast: Obama’s latest Monsanto pick, Elena Kagan

First, we spit out our coffee over President Obama’s appointments of former Monsanto goon Michael Taylor as Food Safety [sic] Czar and ‘biotech governor of the year’ Tom Vilsack as Secretary of Agriculture. Then we choked on our grits when he made Monsanto lobbyist, Islam Siddiqui, the US Ag Trade Representative. Now, the real food movement has completely lost its appetite with Obama’s nomination of Monsanto defender, Elena Kagan, to the US Supreme Court. In December 2009, in her capacity as Solicitor General, Kagan intervened in the first case on which SCOTUS will rule involving genetically modified crops, Monsanto v Geertson Seed. She defended Monsanto’s fight to contaminate the environment with its GM alfalfa, not the American people’s right to safe feed and a protected environment. The lower court ruled that “contamination of organic and conventional alfalfa crops with the genetically engineered gene has occurred and defendants acknowledge as much. Such contamination is irreparable environmental harm.” That other fields, not those of Geertson Seed, et al., had been contaminated does not bother Kagan. “The district court failed to find either that respondents had suffered or were likely to suffer irreparable harm…” This flies in the face of reality. The biotech industry has admitted it cannot prevent contamination of natural fields. When Bayer CropScience contaminated nearly a third of the US rice supply with its GM version, its defense lawyers told jurors that “Bayer’s containment protocols were equal to or exceeded industry standards when the test rice escaped into the general supplies.” If the best containment protocols don’t work, then contamination cannot be prevented. That is clearly an indication that natural crop farmers are “likely to suffer irreparable harm.” Geertson Seed explains some basic facts about alfalfa and GM contamination: “Alfalfa is not just a prolific field crop, but feral alfalfa and weedy alfalfa is commonly found beyond the fields by roadways, irrigation canals, backyards and beyond…. “Contamination of conventional alfalfa from genetically engineered alfalfa is a major concern. The primary mode of contamination is from the movement of pollen by bees from plant to plant. Alfalfa is pollinated by many different bees and other insects that fly long distances. Sudden wind gusts like those associated with summer thunder storms can carry pollinators over greater distances. When a pollinator visits an alfalfa plant that has the Roundup Ready (RR) gene inserted, it will pick up the pollen that contains the RR gene and carry it to a distant conventional alfalfa plant. If that pollen fertilizes the blossom of the conventional plant, the resulting seed will contain the RR gene.” This contamination becomes especially important because contaminated alfalfa will continue to sprout for years: “The seed produced by alfalfa can have 50% or more dormant seed [which] can lay dormant in the soil for many years.” Glyphosate is one of the most toxic herbicides in use today. Monsanto’s trade name for it is Roundup. Geertson Seed explains that: “Roundup Ready alfalfa will have a selective advantage over non GE alfalfa and will become the dominant weed variety. In turn, the weedy Roundup Ready alfalfa will be difficult to kill and will become a source of pollen and seed that will contaminate other feral plants and conventional alfalfa seed fields in the area. In a few years, it will be extremely difficult to avoid contamination from GE alfalfa.” Worse, researchers at the University of Caen found that Monsanto’s particular formulations of glyphosate in Roundup “actually amplified glyphosate’s toxic effects,” which include human cell death. Kagan seems to believe that the biotech industry’s inability to prevent contamination is not an issue for farmers, the environment or we the people. Her repugnance toward our human right to reject the deployment of genetically engineered crops comports with corporate views. She earns the M on her forehead, joining Justice Clarence Thomas, a former Monsanto lawyer who corruptly refused to recuse himself from Monsanto v Geertson Seed. Rady Ananda's work has appeared in several online and print publications, including three books on election fraud. Most of her career was spent working for lawyers in research, investigations and as a paralegal. She holds a B.S. in Natural Resources from The Ohio State University’s School of Agriculture. added by: samantha420

Supreme Court Nominee Elena Kagan Dodges ‘Twilight’ Debate

Senator asks solicitor general about ‘famous case of Edward vs. Jacob’ during confirmation hearing. By Gil Kaufman U.S. Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan at her Senate Hearing on Thursday Photo: Brendan Smialowski/Getty Images She faced tough questions on abortion, banning military recruiters from campus and a host of other constitutional issues during her two days in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee. And, like most recent Supreme Court nominees, Solicitor General Elena Kagan declined to offer her opinions on issues that might come up before the court should she be confirmed for a spot on the nation’s top bench. She swatted away tough questions from a number of Republican inquisitors with a smile and good humor. But when it came to the most crucial issue of our time, the question that has vexed so many (OK, not a single one) previous Supreme Court nominees — is she Team Jacob or Team Edward? — Kagan refused to bend. Kagan professed she was not really aware of the “Twilight” phenomenon when asked a question about which team she was on by Minnesota Democratic Senator Amy Klobuchar. “Solicitor General Kagan, you had an incredibly grueling day yesterday and did incredibly well,” Klobuchar said. “But I guess it means you missed the midnight debut of the third ‘Twilight’ movie last night. We did not miss it in our household, and it culminated in three 15-year-old girls sleeping over at three a.m.” “I didn’t see that,” Kagan laughed. “I just had a feeling. I keep wanting to ask you about the famous case of Edward vs. Jacob or the vampire vs. the werewolf,” Klobuchar said on Wednesday. With a smile, Kagan said, “I wish you wouldn’t.” And so, as with Lady Gaga , we may never know which side Kagan lands on in the vampires vs. werewolves debate, but at least we know she got asked the tough questions. What team do you think Solicitor General Kagan is on? Should it make a difference in her confirmation to the Supreme Court? Let us know by leaving a comment below.
