We’re happy to report that Che Mack’s mom, Kimberly Moore has been found safely after a suspected home invasion. According to 11 Alive news reports : The mother of an Atlanta reality TV star has been found alive. Kimberly Moore was found in her Cobb. Co. home after being missing since yesterday evening. Chavante Mack, who has appeared on Love and Hip Hop Atlanta, told police she came to the home around 8:00 Wednesday evening to find the house ransacked and her mother missing. Capt. Stephen Fore said when officers arrived to the home on Maplewood Drive in Decatur, they found the back door was forced open and all of 54-year-old Kimberly Moore’s personal belongings still there. “Her vehicle was still located outside the home,” Capt. Fore said. Police also said Moore’s wallet and I.D. were left inside the home. Foul play is suspected. Moore was not injured when she was found late Thursday morning at the house on Tyrell Drive. The investigation is still open and she is being brought to DeKalb Police headquarters. Wow! What a mystery. But we’re glad to hear she’s okay although news reports were saying she was very shaken. Sure, it can take a long time when the other party won’t consent, but it’s better than kidnapping and torturing people. According to The NY Daily News A Brooklyn rabbi and three others were busted by the FBI for plotting to kidnap Jewish husbands then torture and zap them into giving their wives a divorce, authorities charged Thursday. Rabbi Mendel Epstein, 68, would charge desperate wives up to $100,000 to “convince” their hubbies to consent to a divorce, or “get” in Jewish law, sources and court papers said. “We prefer not to leave a mark,” the racketeering rabbi allegedly said in a recorded conversation with an undercover agent in which he described his method. “We take an electric cattle prod. …You put it in certain parts of his body, and in one minute the guy will know.” Epstein — who was arrested Wednesday night along with Rabbi Martin Wolmark, 55, Ariel Potash, 40, and a muscle man only known as “Yaakov” — was recorded saying they pull the kidnapping plot every year to a year and a half, court papers show. All four are set to appear Thursday afternoon in a federal court in Trenton. Epstein’s Kensington home was raided Wednesday night together with other locations in Rockland County and New Jersey, sources said. Epstein is also a known lawyer and advocate for women’s right to divorce who has said in prior interviews that he has handled some 2,000 divorce cases. Around the time the federal investigation started in August, he released a four-point “Bill of Rights of a Jewish Wife.” Damn shame. Authorities say the rabbi was approached this summer by an undercover federal agent posing as an Orthodox woman asking for help in getting a divorce. She was told it would cost $10,000 for the rabbinical court to approve the forced “get” plus another $60,000 to pay for the “tough guys,” according to the criminal complaint. Epstein assured her that if victims go to the police, cops typically say, “’Uh, is there some crazy Jewish affair here.’ They don’t get involved.” He said his son and other toughs use “karate skills on the victims to facilitate the divorces,” as well as handcuffs and placing of plastic bags over the husbands’ heads, court documents said. Last week, a Beit Din, or rabbinical court, in Monsey, Rockland County, authorized the use of violence, and Epstein was told the husband would be lured to a warehouse in New Jersey this week. He then allegedly scoped out the location with Yaakov. Wolmark is accused of presiding over the Beit Din proceedings, signing off on the violent ploy after the undercover explained why she needed the divorce. Potash was to act as her agent to receive the “get” from the purported husband. Man Stages Kidnapping And Kills Teen According to The NY Post A man used a fake Facebook account to lure a teenage girl out of her house in an attempt to stage her kidnapping and rescue so he could look like a hero but ended up killing her, a police affidavit released Wednesday said. Kyle Dube was indicted Wednesday on charges of murder and kidnapping in the death of 15-year-old Nichole Cable, whose body was found in a wooded area of Old Town this month a week after she went missing. Dube, of Orono, had intended to kidnap and hide Nichole and later find her and “be the hero,” the affidavit said. But she died in the back of his pickup truck after he duct-taped her while wearing a ski mask, it said. Dube’s lawyer had wanted the affidavit to stay impounded, citing concerns over his right to a fair trial. The Associated Press and the Portland Press Herald had fought to unseal it. Lawyer Sigmund Schutz, representing the AP and the Portland Press Herald, had argued that the affidavit explaining why the 20-year-old Dube was charged in Nichole’s death should be made public on First Amendment grounds. Defense lawyer Stephen Smith had cited threats against Dube and concerns about the privacy of family members. An innocent girl is dead because he wanted to be a hero. SMH. AP
The creepy child hostage situation in Alabama continues to unfold almost a whole week later…. Alabama Man Continues To Hold Boy Hostage Underground For Seventh Day In A Row An Alabama man who fatally shot the bus driver who attempted to protect the 20 children on the bus last Tuesday is still continuing to hold a 5-year-old special needs boy whom he took from the bus hostage in an underground “shelter.” via ABC News A 5-year-old boy was being held hostage for a seventh straight day in an underground bunker in Alabama on Monday, and authorities remained tight-lipped about talks to free him from the gunman who shot and killed his school bus driver. The boy, who is due to celebrate his birthday on Wednesday, was taken from the school bus and locked away in a home-made shelter on the property of Jimmy Lee Dykes, 65, a Vietnam veteran and retired trucker at the center of the hostage drama in a rural corner of southeast Alabama. Dykes has been identified by the local sheriff’s department as the man who last Tuesday fatally shot bus driver Charles Albert Poland, 66, as he tried to protect the more than 20 children on the bus during their ride home from school. Authorities have identified the boy only as Ethan, who suffers from Asperger’s Syndrome and attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder. There has been no indication that Ethan has been physically harmed by Dykes, whom the local sheriff’s office has thanked for allowing the boy to receive medication, coloring books and toys. Frankly, I have other things. I have my own charities that I contribute to … It’s a serious, very serious offer.” Trump goes on to say he’s making a “positive” gesture here, trying to help Obama become more transparent while, of course, assisting a good cause. Austin Reed Sigg , who was arrested this week for the kidnapping and murder of 10-year old Jessica Ridgeway, reportedly confessed to the heinous crime, prosecutors said today. During a court hearing this morning, authorities said Sigg – a student at Arapahoe Community College – admitted to taking Ridgeway’s life and also to attacking a jogger in the area. They also told a judge that “overwhelming” DNA evidence exists that links Sigg to the crime. Sigg, 17, will be formally charged on October 30 and is being held on suspicion of first-degree murder, felony murder and kidnapping in relation to Ridgeway, who vanished on October 5 and whose body was discovered on October 18. Police in the Denver suburb of Westminster said they took Sigg into custody on Tuesday night after receiving a call from his mother. Mindy Sigg, meanwhile, told The Associated Press that her son turned himself in. “I made the phone call, and he turned himself in. That’s all I have to say,” said Mindy.
College Student Fakes Kidnapping To Skip Assignment This takes “my dog ate my homework” to a whole other level. Police in the Brazilian Amazon say a college student has confessed to faking her own kidnapping as an excuse for not handing in a year-end university project. Para state’s civil police say on their website that 22-year-old Susan Paola Fadel Correia initially alleged she was abducted last week by three men, then was tied up and held for 24 hours before being released. A police statement says she acknowledged Wednesday that the story was false and that she spent the 24 hours that she was supposedly missing at the home of a friend. It quotes officer Gilvandro Furtado as saying Fadel explained that she “didn’t want to upset her mother” with news of her problems at school. Fadel has been charged with making false accusations. This chick went from having bad grades to having to spend time in jail for six months over the worst lie in human history. Talk about tanking under pressure.
