There’s not a lot that looks like it might be able to stop Terrence Jones and the Kentucky Wildcats in their march toward an NCAA men’s basketball title. But one person at least found a way to slow Jones down &— and she calls herself a fan. Actress and noted Kentucky fan Ashley Judd apparently found her way into the ‘Cats locker room on Saturday following the team’s victory over Iowa State. Following some routine congratulations and best wishes for the team’s upcoming trip to the Sweet 16, Judd departed… with Jones’s phone . The forward announced the mishap on Twitter: If your trying to reach me on my phone you cant because @ AshleyJudd took my phone to e town — Terrence Jones (@TerrenceJones1) March 18, 2012 Soon afterward, Judd handed the phone off to a mutual contact in Elizabethtown with a note of apology, which Jones also tweeted : Look what I got thank u @ AshleyJudd twitter.com/TerrenceJones1… — Terrence Jones (@TerrenceJones1) March 18, 2012 “Catlanta”! As far as Marvel Studios’ summer superhero movies go, it seems like there might be a clear set of preconceived notions already coagulating into stone. Captain America ? Looks like it might be a retro-adventure movie like Indiana Jones ! X-Men: First Class ? The trailer looked cool, but the posters are objectively vomit-inducing, so we’re cautiously optimistic. Thor , on the other hand, seems to have already been declared DOA by the geek brigade. But this behind the scenes look on the set in New Mexico might start to change their minds.

REVIEW: Affable Win Win Keeps the Fighting Spirit When ‘Work, Money, Everything’ Is the Problem

Warmly observed and solicitous of its audience to the point of caress, Win Win is as comfortable an experience at the movies as you might have this year. Writer and director Tom McCarthy ( The Station Agent , The Visitor ) specializes in light humanism (or humanism lite), storytelling that features recognizable people facing their recognizable lives with just a little more grace and good nature than is recognizable. The flourish there at the end lends McCarthy’s understated, involving approach a bit of self-affirming flattery: These people look and sound just like me, therefore, I am as endearing and ultimately decent as these people.

HBO Sets April 23 as Premiere Date for Cinema Verite

Looks like it might be time to re-subscribe to HBO. The network announced on Thursday that Cinema Verite — the awesome-looking ’70s period piece about the dawn of reality television with James Gandolfini, Diane Lane and Tim Robbins in leading roles — will premiere on Saturday, April 23. It’s not TV, etc.
