Can you believe we’re coming up on the one year anniversary of the feud between Kanye West and Jay Z? Time must really fly when things are sad and pointless, huh? As we learned from one of Kanye’s epic rants during his Saint Pablo tour last year, his issue with Jay Z began when Jay didn’t reach out to him or his family after Kim Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint in Paris. Or, well, it began when Kanye disagreed with the way Jay handled a business situation — they’d recorded verses for a Drake song, but Jay cut them “out of respect” for Meek Mill, who doesn’t exactly get along with Drake. But the personal drama was a big source of contention — and honestly, it’s also way more interesting. Kanye begged him to reach out to him, like they were brothers, and he even said that their kids had never played together. Then, just about a month later, Kanye went on another rant about Jay Z, except this time, he had some words for Beyonce , too. In that rant, he claimed that Beyonce had said that she wouldn’t perform at the VMAs unless she won the award for Video of the Year. He admitted that she is “great,” but “sometimes we be playing the politics too much and forgetting who are just to win.” It was just a couple of days after this rant that Kanye had his mental breakdown , leading to a hospitalization to deal with his issues. But for Jay Z, that wasn’t an excuse. We heard time and time again that he was done with Kanye, that he simply did not care to deal with him or his feelings anymore. He seemed to confirm it himself with a track on his new album. In the song, titled “Kill Jay Z,” he rapped “I know people backstab you, I feel bad too, but this ‘f-ck everybody’ attitude ain’t natural.” “But you ain’t the same, this ain’t KumbaYe, but you got hurt because you did cool by ‘Ye,” he continued. “You have him 20 million without blinking, he gave you 20 minutes on stage, f-ck was he thinking? ‘F-ck wrong with everybody?’ is what you saying, but if everybody’s crazy, you’re the one that’s insane.” It seems like a pretty pointed song about Kanye, right? Except in a new interview, Jay claims that that’s simply not the case . “It’s not even about a Kanye diss,” he says. “It’s not a diss. I’m talking to myself the whole time.” “I’m not talking about Kanye when I say, ‘You dropped out of school, you lost your principles.’ I’m talking about me.” It makes sense if you take another look at those lyrics with that in mind, but it’s still undeniable that he’s talking about Kanye, at least a little bit. And that he’s not exactly pleased with him, either. “You got hurt, because this guy was talking about you on a stage,” Jay Z explains now. “But what really hurt me, you can’t bring my kid or my wife into it.” “We’ve gotten past bigger issues, but you brought my family into it, now it’s a problem with me.” He adds that “You know it’s a problem because me and him would have talked about it, been resolved out issues.” “And he knows he crossed the line. He knows. And I know he knows. ‘Cause we’ve never let this much space go between one of our disagreements and we’ve had many.” So it sounds like Jay Z got extra upset about Kanye for not only airing such personal issues in front of a large audience, but also for bringing up Beyonce and Blue Ivy at all. Now, we’re learning that Dues wasn’t Messer’s only secret boyfriend, and that she kept one relationship so thoroughly on the down-low that even the most gossip-starved TM2 obsessives had no idea she was seeing anyone. An aspiring model named Scotty Ayres has revealed to Radar Online that he and Leah dated for several weeks during the summer of 2016. “We were a ‘thing’ but she didn’t know what she wanted so we just fell out,” Ayres tells Radar. “ He adds, “It was a train wreck dating her” … but then he doesn’t really go into much detail. In fact, despite considerable evidence to the contrary, Ayres denies that Messer was addicted to prescription drugs at one point. “She didn’t take nothing that she wasn’t prescribed,” he claims. “She’s not a druggie at all! She’s a good-hearted girl.” Of course, just because she wasn’t using during the short period of time that she dated Ayres, that doesn’t mean Messer never struggled with addiction. But despite his claim that their relationship was a “trainwreck,” Ayres has nothing negative to say about Messer’s behavior. However, the reason for that might be that he’s holding out hope that they’ll eventually get back together. “I wish she would give me another chance, but I have to let her come to me,” he said. “I can’t chase her.” Gotta love a guy who will talking to the press about your relationship and act like he’s giving you your space at the same time. Ayres concluded by offering some douchey words of advice to someone he may or may not have hooked up with almost a year ago: “She needs to focus on herself first before she needs a man,” he said. ABC confirmed some bad news and shocked fans with some amazing news on Tuesday afternoon. First, the bad news: Scandal really is coming to an end after next year’s seventh season. Said creator Shonda Rhimes in a statement regarding the conclusion of this beloved drama: “Deciding how to end a show is easy. Deciding when to finish is quite simple when the end date is years away. But actually going through with it? Actually standing up to say: ‘This is it?’ Not so much. “So, next year we are going all out. Leaving nothing on the table. Creating this world in celebration. “We are going to handle the end the way we like to handle the important things in our Scandal family: all together, white hats on, gladiators running full speed over a cliff.” This sucks, as know. But ABC has at least softened the blow by also announcing the following: Rhimes will executive produce an upcoming Grey’s Anatomy spinoff! There may not be enough exclamation points there; allow us to rectify the mistake: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. The series will be written by longtime Grey’s Anatomy Executive Producer Stacy McKee and will premiere some time in early 2017, presumably after How to Get Away With Murder ends its season. As for what the spinoff will center on? Red. Hot. Firefighters! No casting decisions have been made and few details are available at this time. But the unnamed show will focus on a number of firemen and firewomen in Seattle. “No one can interweave the jeopardy firefighters face in the line of duty with the drama in their personal lives quite like Shonda, and Grey’s signature Seattle setting is the perfect backdrop for this exciting spinoff,” said ABC Entertainment president Channing Dungey in a statement today. Added the network itself: “From the captain to the newest recruit, we follow these brave men and women as they risk their lives and their hearts both in the line of duty and off the clock.” Sounds like your basic, let’s-mix-serious-work-with-suspenseful-and-romantic-play Rhimes fare, doesn’t it? Grey’s Anatomy will conclude Season 13 this Thursday night. According to the official synopsis for Grey’s Anatomy Season 13 Episode 24 , there will be a massive explosion at the hospital, leaving many lives in jeopardy and resulting in a major cliffhanger.
