Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Cheryl Burke

“We have a good time,” Cheryl Burke, 27, told us while celebrating her belated birthday at Palazzo Las Vegas#39;s Azure Luxury Pool. “We#39;ve known each other since we were kids. We have that brother and sister relationship.” Burke is aware of the rumors and she even heard about her “wild” weekend with her castmate. “I woke up to a lot of phone calls,” she said, “but we#39;re just friends.” Cheryl Burke and her fellow Dancing with the Stars castmate Maksim Chmerkovskiy are very close. But the

George Percy: The Guy Friend The 26-year-old is the son of the Duke of Northumberland and he, too, studied at the University of Edinburgh – even rooming there with Pippa. And though romance rumors abound, the pair are not currently a couple. “If anything were ever to happen with George, Pippa would be the Duchess of Northumberland one day and probably richer than Kate,” says an Edinburgh source. Last month, the pair raised eyebrows when they spent a weekend together in Spain. No word on what

Taylor Swift Hooks ‘Rents Up With New Digs

Taylor Swift is a great performer. She’s also a great daughter. A source close to the singer announces that she just purchased a home in Nashville – for her parents! The crib’s price tag? A tidy $1.4 million. “It’s an incredible house. Taylor’s been visiting her parents there and she’s so excited for them,” says a source, who adds that Swift visited recently. Taylor Swift: What a sweetheart! Meanwhile, across the U.S., “Taylor just bought a beautiful home for herself in L.A. She’s in L.A. so much – and she was paying a fortune in hotel charges!” Good for her. She certainly deserves it with all the success she’s had, and isn’t it nice to hear about a celebrity doing something so nice for their parents? [Photo: WENN.com]

Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy Bust a Move, Strip Down on Oprah

Kirstie Alley does not hold back. The 60-year-old Dancing With the Stars maverick took another sexy turn yesterday – this time on Oprah, where she and Maksim Chmerkovskiy appeared. Kirstie and her DWTS partner appeared on the talk show as part of O’s big Bloopers, Blunders and Funniest Moments episode. They delivered a classic: Kirstine Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy on Oprah They wowed the crowd – including Cee Lo Green – with some slick moves and obvious chemistry. Then Kirstie tore off Maks’ shirt to thunderous applause. Kirstie fell during the rumba two weeks ago, then lost a shoe this week, But she says mishaps and all, she’s found doing the punishing show cathartic. “It’s sort of given me my confidence back,” she said. “It’s amazing.” Hopefully she keeps rocking on DWTS for many weeks to come.

Dancing With the Stars: Chelsea Kane a Shoe-In, Kirstie Alley Shoe Comes Off

A week ago, Kirstie Alley fell to the floor, only to make a full recovery on Dancing With the Stars. Unfortunately, she suffered another mishap last night. This time, it was a footwear malfunction. Kirstie and Maksim Chmerkovskiy had to fight through more adversity as Alley’s left shoe fell off in mid-waltz. Just like the previous week, they recovered well enough to earn a respectable score – 22 out of 30 – plus sympathy and respect from fans and judges. Kirstie Alley Loses Shoe on Dancing With the Stars “You didn’t miss a beat,” said Carrie Ann Inaba. Bruno Tonioli agreed, while Len Goodman was less impressed, pointing out the need for improvement. Still, we’d be surprised if Kirstie and Maks were in jeopardy after a second straight week of bouncing back strongly from a somewhat freakish setback. Another gal who should be safe? Disney starlet Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas, whose Viennese waltz earned them the top score of the night at 26. Watch it, and check out the full scoreboard, after the jump … Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas – DWTS Week 4 That put them just ahead of the Hines Ward and Kym Johnson and Ralph Macchio and Karina Smirnoff. Both of those couples notched scores of 25. Len grumbled about Chelsea’s unorthodox choreography, but technically, the judges could not deny that Kane’s was the best dance of the night. At the bottom of the heap and definitely at risk of elimination tonight are Kendra Wilkinson and Louis van Amstel, who bombed with an 18. Here’s last night’s scoreboard … Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas: 26 Ralph Macchio and Karina Smirnoff: 25 Hines Ward and Kym Johnson: 25 Chris Jericho and Cheryl Burke: 23 Petra Nemcova and Dmitry Chaplin: 23 Romeo and Chelsie Hightower: 23 Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy: 22 Sugar Ray Leonard and Anna Trebunskya: 21 Kendra Wilkinson and Louis Van Amstel: 18 Who do you think is going home this evening? Does Kendra have the fan support to overcome that lack of score? It will be interesting to see. After four weeks and two eliminations (three tonight), who do you think will win Dancing With the Stars? Vote in our survey:

Bristol Palin is a Dancing With the Stars Finalist; Brandy Eliminated in Stunner!

WTF. There’s no other intro we can muster right now. It’s not anything new that Dancing With the Stars is more about popular support than technical merit, especially with mediocre, middle of the pack performers. But at some point, you’d assume the better dancers would be rewarded. You’d assume wrong, apparently. Bristol Palin will be joining Jennifer Grey and Kyle Massey in next week’s finals, with a deserving Brandy on the sidelines. Somehow, Brandy and Maks will be watching, not dancing in the finals . No sooner had we talked about how Palin’s run personally irked Maksim Chmerkovskiy than he and Brandy got the boot Tuesday, despite great dancing Monday. A record-high number of votes made it happen, too. “One thing that I love, for my family, the choice they made to come to this country,” said Ukrainian-born Maks, taking the high road, “the fact that people vote and voices count. I love that this show represents that, the people’s choice.” “I don’t regret a second of the last five years of my being on the show and definitely not a second of me being on this season. It’s been an amazing journey.” Uhhnh, did Maks just pseudo-quit Dancing With the Stars? Apparently millions of voters felt she totally deserved it, but one person on stage didn’t look stunned, including Bristol herself and partner Mark Ballas. Imagine if she actually wins this thing next week. Can anyone derail the Bristol Palin express? We know she works her butt off , and there’s nothing objectionable about her on a fundamental level. But she can’t dance. It’s time for this to end. All we have to say is that Jennifer Grey and Kyle Massey voters? You better be on your robo-texting game, because the Palin movement is no joke. Call it a conspiracy , call it pure enthusiasm for the teen mom next door. Whatever you want to label her, she’s one of the final three this season. Does Bristol Palin deserve to be in the finals?

ESPY Awards Fashion Face-Off: Maksim Chmerkovskiy vs. Zac Efron

Total hunk alert! A pair of talented dancers walked the red carpet of last night’s ESPY Awards in Los Angeles, as Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Zac Efron both posed without their significant others. For Maks, Erin Andrews was busy battling Lindsey Vonn in her own Fashion Face-Off; while Vanessa Hudgens simply didn’t accompany Zac to the event. But that just gave Efron more time to prepare for this match-up against the smooth Dancing with the Stars professional, a man who makes his living competing with other attractive people on a global stage. Will that experience carry Chmerkovskiy to victory? Or will Efron’s boyish charm be too hard to resist? You tell us! Who looked hotter at the ESPY Awards?

Maksim Chmerkovskiy — How I Beat the Rap …

Dancing with the Stars: Erin Andrews Ties Nicole Scherzinger, But Who Will Voters Choose?

Might Erin Andrews have pulled off an incredible Dancing with the Stars upset? In our finals preview yesterday, we listed her as a long shot against favorite Nicole Scherzinger and dark horse Evan Lysacek, each of whom are more skilled. Somebody either forgot to tell Erin she was the underdog heading into last night’s final performances, or did tell her and provided her bulletin board material. Erin Andrews tied Nicole with an aggregate 55, meaning it really will come down to every last vote. Can she muster enough support to win the Mirror Ball? Teaming with Maksim Chmerkovskiy on a Samba to kick off the night, Erin scored a 29. Evan Lysacek and Anna Trebunskaya got a 28 on the Viennese Waltz. Nicole and Derek Hough’s Rumba netted a 28. In the freestyle round, Nicole made up one point on Erin, tying for the overall lead. Evan faltered somewhat. Erin Andrews mauls Maksim Chmerkovskiy in bed. Art imitating life? If Scherzinger still has a slight edge, it’s because she and Derek went for the toughest moves, almost resulting in Nicole falling off his shoulders at one point. Erin and Maks, meanwhile, chose to do a lyrical freestyle, which seemed So You Think You Can Dance -esque with props and unadulterated sexual chemistry. So can Erin actually pull off the upset on tonight’s results show – when Kate Gosselin returns , Vienna Girardi debuts and the season winner is unveiled at last? She earned consideration at the very least. Nicole will likely get the title and it will be well-earned, but she won’t run away with it. Last night’s full scorecard: Erin Andrews and Maksim Chmerkovskiy: Samba: 29. Freestyle: 26. Total: 55 . Nicole Scherzinger and Derek Hough: Rumba: 28. Freestyle: 27. Total: 55 . Evan Lysacek and Anna Trebunskaya: Waltz: 28. Freestyle: 24. Total: 52 . Click to enlarge some more photos from last night … Who do you want to win Dancing with the Stars?
