Source: krisanapong detraphiphat / Getty Mississippi Restaurant Is Facing Backlash For One Employee’s Racism One employee working the drive-thru window at a restaurant in Mississippi ended up being fired on Monday after printing a derogatory name on a Black customer’s receipt. According to Alexia Washington, she and a friend visited Who Dat’s on Friday night and placed a meal order, but once they saw what was on the receipt, they were disgusted. “Something told me to look at my receipt,” Washington said, according to WMC Action News . Printed at the top of the receipt were the words “Black b**ches in silver car.” She said she immediately reported the inappropriate text to the manager at Who Dat’s, who made the employee apologize–But of course, she was still disturbed by the worker’s hateful message, which is why she decided to post a picture of it on her Facebook page. “My car isn’t silver, for one,” Washington wrote in the now-deleted post. “For two, I wasn’t rude. I didn’t have any type of hostility. He didn’t have any hostility with me.” She went on to explain her decision to share the message on social media, saying she “wasn’t going to say anything and [was going to] give them the opportunity to do right, but nothing has been done,” according to the Clarion Ledger . Washington claims she had requested that the employee who printed the slur on the receipt be fired, as she felt “racially ridiculed and demeaned as a African American Female.” When her messages to the restaurant’s higher-ups seemed to be ignored, that is when she decided to go public. “I seek justice for this hate crime and I will no longer remain silent,” she wrote on Facebook. “I’ve lived in Oxford for 5 years and I’m still having to deal with this type of ignorance. I’m not a rude or hateful person. I was not rude when I was at this establishment and was greeted with this kind of service. I will not stand for it.” Luckily for Washington, her decision to go public with the whole scenario paid off, as Who Dat’s posted a reply to the customer’s post, assuring her that the employee had indeed been fired. The restaurant’s owner, Wylie Coleman, even met with with Washington face to face after that. In a lengthy note posted to the restaurant’s Facebook, Coleman wrote that he sat down with Washington for an hour and a half on Tuesday “in shock and remorse” to discuss “a broad range of issues and goals in our lives as we work through the summer.” He said he and Washington “have so much common ground.” Coleman called the racist receipt “no joke” and “a vivid insult describing oppression which stabs four-five immediate generations.” He said he couldn’t explain the employee’s action and that it “did not represent us as a business or [personally].” He also declared that the decision to terminate and ban the employee was a joint one made with Washington, as it would be “the only way to move forward.” He added, “From the bottom of my heart I would like to apologize to the young ladies that were attacked by this injustice. We have a lot of work to do as humans and representative[s] of the community.”

MC is accused of using her ex-assistant Lianna Shakhnazaryan’s AMEX card to pay for and conceal at least 6 cosmetic surgeries, says Daily Mail. The receipts are signed by ” Stella Carey” and include a $10,000 in PLLA buttock filler injections, a $4,800 LipoFreeze fat-melting laser treatment to her upper breasts and an $8,900 firming ultrasound procedure to her neck and jawline. They were then mailed to Mariah’s home address. Mariah is currently embroiled in a court battle with her former friend and employee over claims that Lianna Shakhnazaryan, 36, spent money on Carey’s personal credit card and secretly filmed her. But employees and Shakhnazaryan tell a different story about Mariah’s spending habits. Allegedly she would use their cards and reimburse them later for hundreds of thousands in purchases. ‘Mariah never wanted people to know about her shopping or surgeries so she would put them on [former assistant] Lianna’s [Shakhnazaryan] card or [former manager] Stella’s [Bulochnikov] cards,’ an insider said. ‘She has an AMEX card of her own but her business management team only let her have one because of her spending – she always spent so much on it, it would get maxed out.’ ‘All the staff, including her security guards and nannies, have to put stuff on their cards and get it reimbursed. Mariah sued her former assistant earlier this year, alleging the woman tried to extort her with “intimate videos” for $8 Million. Last night, the Warriors top brass got involved when one of the team’s minority owners violently shoved Kyle Lowry after the Raptors forward chased a ball into the stands. But the one down below may take the hot cake… Simply put, a woman was arrested last Friday after going behind the counter at a McDonald’s restaurant in Norwich, Connecticut and slapping a manager in the face because the customer’s order “was made wrong.” Did we mention this manager was pregnant at the time of the attack? Because she was most definitely pregnant. According to The Smoking Gun, police charged 21-year-old Shannelle Hanson with breach of peace and third-degree assault, taking her into custody after she overreacted to the aforementioned mistaken order. Investigators say that Hanson purchased a McChicken Sandwich around 8:20 p.m. at the drive-thru window two miles from her home… … but she wasn’t satisfied with what she received. She allegedly got out of her car and walked into the restaurant, declaring that “her food was made wrong,” based on a customer who spoke with the cops. Hanson subequently “requested a refund” and “then went behind the counter,” according to a Norwich Police Department arrest report. The McDonald’s manager, whose name was not released and who is 29 weeks pregnant, told the police that she was “slapped in the face and pushed by Hanson.” A male employee said that when he attempted to separate Hanson and his manager, who was situated near the french fry station, Hanson “slapped him in the face and pushed him.” This happened after she was given a full refund, too. In a written statement, the manager said that Hanson was made aware she was pregnant and responded to this information by telling those around her “she had bail money and didn’t care I was pregnant. She hoped I lost my child.” YIKES. After being taken into custody, Hanson told police she was upset that “there was nothing on” her McChicken Sandwich, which typically comes with shredded lettuce and mayonnaise. Monday night on ABC, The Bachelorette finally unleashed the beast in the form of Season 15’s leading lady Hannah Brown. And you don’t need The Bachelorette spoilers to tell you that “Hannah Beast” promises to be a different kind of Bachelorette . For one, she came from outside The Bachelor’s top four earlier this winter. Secondarily, fan response has been … lukewarm. Look, to be clear, we’re not hating on Hannah whatsoever, but more than a few fans feel she’s the worst Bachelorette ever. Before the season even got underway, no less! Akin to how folks say you need to find the biggest inmate and beat him up in order to earn respect in prison… Hannah barged into the Bachelorette Mansion. Scott responded to her accusations by saying he did NOT have a girlfriend, but, well, yes: there was a woman waiting for him back home. What a loser! The guy even went on to compare his situation to Hannah dating Colton Underwood before becoming the Bachelorette, an idea that really made no sense whatsoever. She was with someone before and is now single. That’s just how life works. Scott has backup options just waiting for his call! Having heard enough, Hannah trashed Scott as a “jerk” and swiftly threw him out of the house. The Bachelorette then told the remaining men to go home if they had similar circumstances, making it very clear they weren’t dealing with some pushover this season. Thankfully, no one else could relate to Scott. And some of these 30 aspiring husbands proved to be rather creative and funny upon their introductions: Connor S. jumped a fence, a sly reference to Colton doing the same on The Bachelor …. Devin lied about being a virgin, also mocking poor Colton… Joe leaped out of a box… and Cam did a freestyle rap. Prior to entering the mansion for the cocktail party Hannah paused to say a prayer. She then said that she had a slight crush on Jed after he sang her a “Roll Tide” ballad because Hannah hails from Alabama — and she shared kisses with Luke P., Connor S. and Cam! As for who earned the First Impression Rose? It went to a 24-year-old Import/Export Manager who showed off his shirtless physique in his introductory clip and who met Hannah back during the After the Rose special several weeks ago. “I think I’m a good looking guy,” this stud told the camera with a smile and laugh. “When I was in college, a lot of the girls around me thought so too.” This same person is from Gainesville, Georgia and said on air that God spoke to him in the shower once and that he changed his focus in life as a result and has been “working on the husband that I want to be for my future wife.” He also was the first person to comfort Hannah after she sent Scott packing. Yup: it’s Luke Parker! Pictured below with The Bachelorette, will he be able to go from early favorite to final one chosen? We’ll need to tune in if we want to find out — but we do not need to read through any The Bachelorette spoilers to know who no longer has a shot at Hannah’s heart. It was clear from the series of commercials that the two seemed to have a good rapport with one another. And it showed in the final product. When Complex asked her how she came to be cast in the commercials, she said: “Well, Fam Rothstein, who is one of Donald Glover’s teammates, and a sister named Sylvia, they called and spoke to my husband, who everybody knows is my manager,” she said. “They spoke to Sydney, and when I say it was a beautiful negotiation? It was the way it’s supposed to be done. It was professional people dealing with professional people, and we made something beautiful. I wish every deal and every phone call could be the one that came in from Fam Rothstein and Sister Sylvia. Email Submit Mo’Nique said that her experience with Glover and his team was one of the few times where she can recall being respected as she should in this business. “I remember at the end of the shoot, I asked Donald if could I talk to him and his team, and it was one of those moments that brought tears to my eyes to say to those brothers, ‘This is how it’s supposed to be,’” she said. “And to treat a Black woman with such respect and honor, that for me goes down in my history book, to say there are still those out there that treat us with the respect we’re supposed to be treated with. They’re still out there and I know it seems like we got to dig deep, but dammit his name is Donald Glover.” This admission is bittersweet to read. Considering all of the Black men Mo’Nique has worked with throughout the course of her career, it’s a shame that this business deal sticks out in her head as one of the few times she was respected properly as a Black woman. Thankfully, Glover and his team were not only able to see her talent, they were able to respect her worth as an artist and a Black woman. Kudos to him. Hopefully, this type of treatment will become the norm for Mo’Nique and other Black women artists like her.
