Earlier this month,  we reported  that  Bad Boys For Life  was scheduled to start filming next year as long as the movie didn’t face further setbacks. The third installment in the  Bad Boys  series has been heavily anticipated for fifteen years at this point. Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are set to reunite for the film, which has gone through several directors. Michael Bay helmed the first two films, bringing his penchant for explosions and intersecting storylines to the forefront. Now, Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah ( Snowfall ) will sit in the director’s seat. Martin Lawrence took to Instagram on Halloween to share a photo of himself and Smith together. “It’s official. Bad Boys for Life. #teammartymar #badboysforlife @willsmith #weback,” he captioned the post. Formerly announced honorees include Martin Lawrence and Mariah Carey, and now legendary director Hype Williams is being added to that list. Williams was undoubtedly the most sought after video director in the ’90s and well into the 2000’s…he’s still directing the industry’s finest visuals in 2017. His videos helped all of the most important artists in the industry and include Wu-Tang Clan, Usher, Kanye West, Mary J. Blige, LL Cool J, Notorious B.I.G., Tupac, Nas, Diddy, DMX….the names are literally endless. Though he’s been at the helm of a lot of everyone’s favorite hip hop music videos in the past few decades, Hype remains one of the most creative individuals and his videos retain qualities specific to his style. Mireya Acierto/FilmMagic VH1’s ‘Hip Hop Honors: The 90s Game Changers’ Is Next Weekend Regina Hall  is set to host while Missy Elliot will perform on the VH1 annual special “Hip Hop Honors: The 90s Game Changers,” which is airing next weekend, September 18. The event is in the style of a 90’s block party, broadcasting from Paramount Studios in Los Angeles. The special will celebrate important moments from television, film, and music that came from the decade. Missy Elliot’s performance will also pay tribute to the 90’s. In addition to Missy’s performance, it was announced earlier that Martin Lawrence will be honored on the program for his work on “Martin,” which ran from 1992 to 1997. More honorees and performances will be announced in the future, but you’ll be able to see it all on September 18th.

Martin Lawrence Proposed To Roberta Moradfar With A $500K Ring Remember when we told you that Martin Lawrence is set to wed his girlfriend of several years Roberta Moradfar ? Well the comedian is apparently so smitten by the nurse practitioner that he dropped a whopping $500,000 on her engagement ring. According to TMZ , Martin worked for months with Iconic Jewels Beverly Hills to create a custom 5-carat emerald cut engagement ring. The customized ring also pays homage to Martin and Roberta’s sweet black love. The band has Martin and Roberta’s initials spelled out in diamonds. As previously reported, this will be his third marriage. He was reviously wed to Shamicka Lawrence from “Hollywood Exes” in 2010, but they split in 2012. Lawrence’s first wife was Patricia Southall (now Smith), a former Miss Virginia USA. They were married from 1995 to 1997. Southall went on to marry NFL pro Emmitt Smith. Congrats to the happy couple!
