The Real Housewives of New Jersey Recap: "Who Threw My Husband in the Pool?”

Wednesday’s The Real Housewives of New Jersey season finale was an action-packed one.  New housewife, Jennifer Aydin, was on hand to invite her co-stars to her huge home for a big season-ending party.  Well, the party was for her 16th wedding anniversary, but it did fall on the night the season finale was filmed, so there’s that.  The housewives, including Danielle Staub, arrived in some of their nicest get-ups of the season.  That’s when we learned that Danielle had been trying to poison Teresa against Margaret.  As you will recall if you watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills online , Teresa and Danielle were once at odds.  There table flips, fights, and crazy rumors. But they’ve left all that in the past. Teresa wants to see the best in Danielle, but everyone else could see the issue.  “Teresa’s not a very good judge of character,” Melissa Gorga said of her sister-in-law.  Melissa’s husband, Joe, was desperate to make things right between him, Margaret’s husband, Joe Benigno, and Danielle’s then-husband, Marty Caffrey.  The two Joes found Marty at the party and asked him to step outside with them to bury the hatchet once and for all.  Marty said that Joe was trying to paint Danielle in a bad light in the Bahamas for their wedding. In fact, the two Joes tried to tell Marty there was something amiss with Danielle.  “You were out of line. You should apologize,” Marty complained, but Joe B responded with, “No f–king way. You have to apologize for calling my wife all kinds of shit.” “You wanna talk shit?” Marty screamed. “You’re a f–king jealous motherf–ker. You wish you were me!” “You keep staring at Danielle’s tits because your wife doesn’t have any!” Marty shouted. “She doesn’t have the body Danielle has.” Margaret then showed up, and that’s when things got really out of hand.  “What is going on?!” she asked with a stern look on her face. Marge has been serving looks all season long, and this was a new one.  Joe said, “He said I’m jealous of Danielle because you have no body and no tits.” “Yeah, I said that. And I’m gonna say that,” Marty fired back as Margaret got ready to unleash holy hell.  “What man would say that about somebody else’s wife?” Margaret shrieked, as Marty countered that he was “promoting the beauty” of his wife.  “By insulting another woman?” Margaret quizzed. Joe was done listening to his wife being belittled and got close to hitting Marty.  “If you talk down to my wife…” Joe yelled. “If you touch me one more f–king time…” Marty fired back. “I’m willing to go after you right f–king now,” Joe said, clearly getting ready for a fight. . “When you go home tonight, she’s gonna bitch slap you!” Mary snarled. He then turned to Margaret and said, “You emasculate him every chance you…” In a truly hilarious moment, Joe and Margaret grabbed Marty and threw him into the pool.  That’s one way to shut someone up, we guess.  “Your husband’s in the pool,” said Margaret, walking off with Benigno, to Danielle. “Who threw my husband in the pool?” Danielle asked. “Me and my husband,” said Margaret. The rest of the episode paled in comparison.  What did you think of the season finale? The wild reunion kicks off Wednesday.  View Slideshow: Danielle Staub: Accused of Financial, Verbal AND Emotional Abuse … by Her Own Husband!

Danielle Staub Files Second Restraining Order Against Marty Caffrey

Back in August, The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Danielle Staub was granted a restraining order against her husband, Marty Caffrey. Now, Danielle has been granted a second restraining order. She says that Marty will not leave her alone, let alone grant her the divorce that they both so sorely need.. Us Weekly reports that a rep for Danielle Staub has confirmed that Marty has been issued a temporary restraining order. The order against her estranged husband, which will be good for 10 days, was for the personal safety of Danielle and her children. Danielle has two adult daughters: Christine, age 24, and Jillian, age 20. An inside source explains that a factor in this second restraining order was an allegation against Marty of emotional abuse. “She couldn’t take it anymore,” the insider shares grimly. Emotional abuse can be serious, and it sounds like that was just one of the issues that drove Danielle to this desperate measure. “She went to the police department last night to file it,” the source reveals. Based upon Us Weekly’s reporting, we take that to mean Wednesday night — January 2. “It will be good for ten days,” the insider notes. Ten days, we hope, will be enough time for Danielle to either resolve the situation or obtain another, more permanent court order. “Danielle has been trying to end the marriage,” the source explains. Danielle and Marty married in May, but split just months later. “He’s been telling people that Danielle wants to work on their marriage, but it isn’t true,” the insider reports. Chillingly, the source adds: “He wont let her go.” That is very alarming to hear. The insider reports that Danielle’s legla team has “made four settlement offers to Marty.” “He’s refused all of them,” the source states. The insider adds that Marty has also “refused mediation.”  “He’s intentionally dragging this out,” the insider accuses. “He has a second home nearby,” the source notes. “But refuses to leave the house that Danielle is living in.” Marty tells Us Weekly that he hasn’t “even seen Danielle [much]” and doesn’t know “why she would need a restraining order.” “I think what’s gone on here is that the last three episodes of the Housewives …” he theorizes. “Danielle has been portrayed her as this crazy bitch to everybody, including me, my kids, and Margaret and other cast members,” Marty speculates. That’s true. Danielle lashed out on camera . It’s part of her job, basically. “She received profound backlash messages on social media that she didn’t expect,” Marty claims. “It has thrown her for a loop,” he concludes. “And she’s taken out the blame on me.” Just weeks ago, Danielle herself opened up to Us Weekly about Marty’s behavior. “The fact that anyone would use your partner’s past,” she began. “As a way to abuse them.” Danielle continued: “and then verbally abuse and emotionally abuse my daughter or my children or my friends that are around me.” “There isn’t one woman that he’s had a conversation with that could say that he’s not an abusive man,” Danielle emphasized.  ”It’s erratic behavior and it’s constant. I mean, constant,” she characterized. “There’s not letting off that gas.” We hope that the entire family can reach a safe, peaceful resolution, and soon. Deteriorating Dust Mite Stacey Dash Secretly Said “I Do” … And The Groom Is A GOP Goon

WENN/Mindy Best/Getty Images for SXSW Stacey Dash Marries Republican Lawyer Known For Creating Fake Trump Supporting Politician Stacey Dash has said “I Do” for the fourth time! According to Page Six reports the human hangnail has been wed since April 6th, when she had a secret ceremony in Florida just days after withdrawing from her Congressional run in California. Dash’s new hubby is reportedly a lawyer named Jeffrey Marty who is famous for creating a fake “congressman” Rep. Steven Smith of Georgia, who was the first to endorse Donald Trump and regularly ticks off folks on Twitter with his Tea Party touting — despite already being exposed as a fictitious character. Page Six sources say Dash wed Marty just ten days after first meeting but her manager Kerry Jones wasn’t able to answer how or when they met or why the wedding was a secret, only that, “They wanted it on the D.L. [down low].” Besides being responsible for creating the fake “Rep. Steven Smith,” Marty is also known for once telling a reporter, “There are a lot of people that have died mysteriously around [Hillary Clinton]. When they were supposed to testify against her — three or four different people. Within a week.” Dash had filed to run in California’s 44th congressional district on February 26, saying she wanted to “free people from the shackles of a plantation mentality.” She dropped out of the race just a month later because of “the overall bitterness surrounding our political process.” Oh guess we should also mention that Marty lives in Florida, so unless Stacey is leaving Los Angeles behind or Marty moves to be with her, this will be a long distance matrimony-dom. We don’t really know much about this guy but everything we do know sounds batsh*t crazy. Do you think the fourth time will be the charm for Stacey?

Bolitics: Vice President Joe “Blurt It Out” Biden Congratulates The Wrong Man On Winning Boston Mayor Election

Biden back. Joe Biden Congratulates Wrong Man On Boston Mayor Victory Vice President Joe Biden has a long track record of jumping out of pocket and he recently proved that he’s still at it when the results of the Boston mayoral election were announced. via Chicago Tribune As he watched the returns in Boston’s most competitive mayoral race in two decades on Tuesday night, Marty Walsh’s cell phone rang. “A 202 number popped up, and I picked it up. It was Vice President (Joe) Biden. He went right into it, ‘Congratulations, Marty, you son of a gun. You did it!’” Walsh recalled on Thursday. “I said, ‘Mr. Vice President, you have the wrong Marty Walsh.’” Biden had intended to call labor activist and state Senator Marty Walsh, who had just been elected mayor of Boston. Instead he was on the line with the Marty Walsh, president of Gateway Public Solutions, a public affairs consulting firm in Boston. “He laughed, and he was great about it,” said non-Mayor-elect Walsh, who worked in the administration of Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick and before that for Senator Edward M. Kennedy. Good ol’ Joe. LMAO. Continue reading

REVIEW: Gleefully Insane Seven Psychopaths Is Meta Movie Mayhem

While I hate to quibble over the details, Martin McDonagh ‘s  Seven Psychopaths  really contains only six of the nutjobs promised promised in the title — unless you want to count the main character, Marty ( Colin Farrell ). Marty, an Irish screenwriter living in Los Angeles who likes to drink but wouldn’t say he has a drinking  problem  (though others might disagree) and considers himself an observer of the increasingly and often hilariously crazy events that unfold in the film. But the film, which is half ’90s-style violent comedy and half an meta-critique of that genre, makes a pretty good case for writing as its own breed of pathological behavior — one that tends in its nature to be solitary and that leads you to prey on the experiences and stories of others, to assimilate them as your own to tell. Seven Psychopaths  is set in a bright, rambling Los Angeles in which even the people who aren’t employed in the film industry know how to give notes. Marty is working on a screenplay also titled Seven Psychopaths , though mostly he’s staring at a blank page and getting sloshed. His best friend Billy ( Sam Rockwell ), an unemployed actor who makes cash on the side by kidnapping dogs with his partner-in-crime Hans ( Christopher Walken ) and then returning them to their grateful owners, tries to provide support, while his girlfriend Kaya (Abbie Cornish) stews in exasperation. A series of events involving a masked man who’s been killing mobsters and leaving a jack of diamonds as his calling card, a stolen Shih Tzu and an ad in the LA Weekly brings all the inspiration Marty could want into his life and a lot more. Despite his chosen subject matter, Marty claims “I don’t want to do another film about guys with guns in their hands.” Instead, he’d prefer something about love and peace. McDonagh, an acclaimed playwright as well as a filmmaker, has fewer qualms about the appeal of gleeful carnage and wild-eyed swagger, though he also explores the balance between wanting to create something universal and profound and taking a less complicated joy in things blowing up. As a mixture of bloodshed and philosophy,  Seven Psychopaths is a step up from and a smoother ride than McDonagh’s 2008 feature debut  In Bruges , which also starred Farrell and which studied the interactions of its two gangsters for meaning like they were tea leaves. In its  Adaptation. -esque interrogations of its own developments — Marty’s thoughts on where his screenplay is going echo what’s happening in the movie, and he and Billy tussle for control over what type of ending they’re going to get —  Seven Psychopaths presents a clever if largely surface-level argument about cinema as art versus cinema as a delivery system for more immediate gratification. Despite Marty’s wishes, it’s the immediate gratification aspects of  Seven Psychopaths that win out, by way of the jubilant gore, the crackling verbal back-and-forths and the fact that the cast is stacked with actors who in any other film would be playing the scene-stealing oddball but here raise the ensemble average to something deliciously quirky. Even Farrell, as the least wacko of the men, is interesting — the Hollywood preener toppling into destruction. Walken, playing the mild-mannered, cravat-wearing Hans, cranks up his signature inflection and transforms every other sentence into an odd laugh line. Woody Harrelson, as insane dog owning gangster Charlie, is amusingly and smirkingly scary, following rules that only he understands. Tom Waits turns up as Zachariah, a man who carries around a pet rabbit and who has a hell of a story to share, while former  Boardwalk Empire co-stars Michael Pitt and Michael Stuhlbarg pop in for a thoroughly enjoyable discussion of eyeball shooting. But it’s Rockwell’s demented Billy, grinning like a jack-o’-lantern through the escalating chaos, who reigns over the film’s greatest moment when he offers up a suggestion for a climactic scene in Marty’s movie that uproariously fills the screen as he narrates and provides sound effects. Set to a score by Carter Burwell that takes breaks for tunes like P.P. Arnold’s “The First Cut Is The Deepest” and Linda Ronstadt’s “Different Drum,” existing in a start contrast from what’s unfolding on screen,  Seven Psychopaths is a ball. But there is a hollowness to some of its self-critiques: when Hans tells Marty “your women characters are awful,” with little to say and usually meeting a bleak end, he’s offering the same jab at the movie he’s in. That doesn’t change the fact that it’s true. And given the Tarantino-worthy antics the characters get up to, the musings about what these things all mean sometimes seem just that — empty musing. Marty may be offered a vision of how violence can transcend into something more powerful, but the movie he’s in can’t quite follow the same path. It’s a good thing that psychopathy is so entertaining. Follow Alison Willmore on Twitter . Follow Movieline on Twitter .
