Source: Adriana M. Barraza/WENN.com / WENN Usher is continuing to defend against a lawsuit brought by two women and one man who accused him of giving them herpes. The R&B singer has filed a motion to have his medical records sealed from the public, which also extends to one of the women in the case as he awaits information to be handed over to his legal team. The Blast reports : According to court documents obtained by The Blast, the singer went to court to request that certain records be sealed from the public. Usher says he needs to file exhibits to his motion seeking to compel one of the women suing him to hand over certain information. He not only wants his records hidden from the public but also wants the woman’s records sealed too. He says the exhibits include previous and current private health diagnoses. He writes, “There is no gray area that allows for the revelation of some of Jane Doe’s personal information without compromising her privacy rights. Any public exposure of her private information could result in significant harm to Jane Doe.” No decision has been made on the matter as of yet. Back in May, Usher settled a $20 million lawsuit with Laura Helm, settling that matter for good. — Photo: WENN
Source: SCIENCE PHOTO LIBRARY / Getty Daughter Licks Tongue Depressor, Mother Posts Video On Snapchat We hope all y’all disgusting bastards and bishes go directly to jail and do not collect $200 for all this lickin’ y’all doing. According to News4Jax , a girl and her mother got in on the latest disgusting internet craze during a trip to the doctor’s office, the absolute last place you would want to wantonly lick things, but we digress. While waiting to be seen at the All About Kids and Families Medical Center, the girl’s mother whipped out her cell phone to record her daughter licking a tongue depressor then putting back in the container for some unsuspecting person to use. Not only did this piss-poor excuse for a mother record the germy viral ritual, but she also posted the clip to her Snapchat page. The video was spread far and wide around the internet and the mother, who asked not to be identified, said she has been receiving death threats. News4Jax asked why she recorded it. She responded, “I had just been waiting a long time. I was just being silly with my kids.” Her soon-to-be-ex-husband said he was horrified when he realized the girl in the video was his daughter. “My mouth hit the floor. I was completely surprised and shocked that she would even put something like that out there to be seen,” the father said. “I’m very embarrassed. That is not how I want my children raised or brought up.” Here’s what the medical center had to say about the incident: “We were notified yesterday a patient had violated our trust with behavior that is inconsistent with the practices and standards that we uphold and expect at our facility. “Upon notification of this isolated incident, we contacted law enforcement to request a full and thorough investigation. In addition, we immediately removed all materials and containers from the specific exam room and re-sanitized our entire facility. Our internal investigation does not reveal any resulting risks or harm to patients from this action. “This type of behavior is not tolerated at All About Kids and Families Medical Center. Each year, we serve thousands of patients, and providing quality care and ensuring their safety is our top priority.” Send. These. Hoes. To. JAIL.

B lack women are making historic moves in medicine. According to Atlanta Daily World Patrice A. Harris, M.D., M.A. , was sworn in as president of the American Medical Association; making her the first African American woman to be at the helm of the country’s largest collective of physicians and medical students. For the first time in its history the American Medical Association has a Black woman as president! https://t.co/mdvJbXoA2e — #becauseofthemwecan (@Becauseofthem) June 13, 2019 The inauguration ceremony took place in Chicago on Tuesday. During her inaugural speech, Dr. Harris highlighted the issues that she intends to address as she starts her new role. Amongst the things on her agenda are implementing effective strategies to improve healthcare education and training, combating the crisis surrounding chronic diseases, and eliminating barriers to quality patient care. Dr. Harris also hopes to push the conversations about mental health and diversity in the medical field forward. “We face big challenges in health care today, and the decisions we make now will move us forward in a future we help create,” she said in a statement, according to the news outlet. “We are no longer at a place where we can tolerate the disparities that plague communities of color, women, and the LGBTQ community. But we are not yet at a place where health equity is achieved e in those communities. I hope to be tangible evidence for young girls and young boys and girls from communities of color that you can aspire to be a physician. Not only that, you can aspire to be a leader in organized medicine.” Dr. Harris—who has served as an AMA board secretary and AMA board chair—has had a storied medical career thus far. Prior to being appointed to become president of the American Medical Association, she served as the chief health officer of Fulton County, Georgia and has worked with several healthcare organizations to advance their services. She also served as an adjunct professor in Emory University’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Several Black doctors are breaking barriers in the medical field. The Duggars have issued a new statement in light of further updates on the sudden and tragic death of their family matriarch. As previously reported, Mary Duggar died this past Sunday at the age of 78. The loss was unexpected and we later learned why: Mary’s passing was the result of an accidental drowning , as authorities responded to a 911 call placed from her home in Arkansas — yet were unable to revive the mother of Jim Bob We now know a couple other things about this tragedy as well, courtesy of an Instagram post by Jana Duggar. “On her last morning spent here on earth I drove Grandma to church where she worshiped her Savior,” Jana wrote on Thursday, adding: “Later that afternoon, she went to meet Him face to face! I’d say that’s probably how she would’ve chosen to finish out the day if she got to pick.” According to Washington County Coroner Roger W. Morris, meanwhile, Mary simply “slipped” and fell into the water. “Her daughter Deanna discovered her body and alerted authorities, who pronounced her dead at the scene,” Morris said in a statement. This horrible news was first shared by the Duggars on their official Facebook page Sunday afternoon, where the “feisty” and “incredible” County On star was remembered by her famous loved ones in a tribute message. “Mary found great joy in sharing her love for Jesus and her own story of how at age 15 she asked Christ to forgive her for her sins,” this post read in part. “It was at that time she committed the rest of her life to live for Him, a commitment she kept with devotion.” And now the family has said a bit more — about both Mary and the support they’ve received from their fans around the world. “Grandma Duggar has had two strokes over the last year and some other medical issues and it’s our understanding that Grandma Duggar had slipped and fallen and passed by the time her daughter found her in the pool,” a rep for the family told Us Weekly. This rep continued: “We’ve been really touched by the outpouring of support and more than a thousand people referred to her as America’s grandma which is a title we hadn’t even given her.” Over the past few days, nearly every well-known Duggar family member has shared his or her thoughts on Mary’s passing. Here is a sample, for example, of what Jana posted: Grandma made a deep impact on each of our lives—first and foremost through her relationship with Jesus Christ, and secondly through her example of sharing the good news of salvation through Jesus with others! She would always be talking about the day she would see her Savior’s face and how much she looked forward to it! Yesterday was that day! She knew where she’d spend eternity and wanted everyone else to know that for themselves too. And Jill: My heart breaks. My grandma died suddenly today! She was an amazing woman of God and such a great example to so many! And Anna: She was a true soul-winner and loved everyone she met, telling them to turn from sin and trust Jesus for salvation! Miss her soooo much and we cherish each moment we were blessed to spend together! And Amy: My best friend passed away yesterday afternoon. Jesus sure took home a treasure. I’m at a loss for words, shaking as I even type this out. I loved her so much. She helped raise me, we did everything together. I know you are in perfect peace and we will see you again. We continue to send our condolences to the entire Duggar Family. View Slideshow: The Duggars: Who’s Courting? Pregnant? Next In Line? [UPDATED]

Popular Youtube Vlogger Biannca Prince is being dragged for filth after insinuating her baby’s brown eyes aren’t pretty. Moments after giving birth to a healthy baby girl, Biannca Prince looked at her daughter and said, ‘I thought you were going to have pretty eyes.” Her husband quickly retorted, “She does have pretty eyes.” Record scratch. A clip from the video has since made its way around social media, catapulting it into viral status and prompting the couple to respond to all the backlash. Apparently Biannca and her husband Damien can’t believe she is being called out for being a “colorist” and stepped on their digital soap box to explain the “eye” comments. To bad the explanation is absolutely worse. “When I said I wish she had ‘pretty eyes,’ I didn’t mean she doesn’t have pretty eyes,” she said trying to explain. “When i said pretty eyes, I meant the term “green eyes.” At one point, she asks her husband has anyone ever complimented his brown eyes? To which he responds, “No.” And she says, “exactly.” Then goes into a story about her sisters, with brown eyes, have never been compliments, but strangers always told her mother how beautiful her eyes were. Seems Biannca clearly missed the point, let’s clarify. This isn’t about preference, Biannca can’t see how she put a higher value on colored eyes for the simple fact that they’re not brown. Because brown eyes aren’t seem as beautiful as blue, hazel, green or even light brown eyes. Colorism has shown us that the lighter your skin or eyes, the closer to White and the better. Period. What say you readers, what’s your reaction to Biannca’s reaction? Source: Mark Wilson / Getty Ben Carson was once someone we studied and talked about every February for his contributions to the medical profession and his genius. Boy, have the times changed. Now he’s the head of HUD, mostly because Cheeto Dusty heard the word “urban” and hired his only black friend for the job. During a hearing on Tuesday, Carson was asked what an REO was and this fool thought they were asking him about an Oreo. What an idiot. OH, REO! Thanks, @RepKatiePorter . Source: Tashi-Delek / Getty Just like one diet doesn’t fit all, one supplement regimen doesn’t either. Vitamins should be based on lifestyle, age, gender, health goals, stress levels, sleep patterns, dietary restrictions, medical conditions and the medications you are taking to name a few. Personalized vitamins reduce the risk of nutrient deficiencies while preventing a buildup of excess vitamins in your body. For instance, if you’re already getting plenty of calcium in your diet, it can be harmful to take calcium supplements long term. For all populations, nutrients and nutrient levels shift throughout life’s stages. For instance, if you’re in your childbearing years, it is important to get enough omega-3 fatty acids, specifically DHA, since it is a building block of the brain. In addition, folic acid (vitamin B9) is crucial to support healthy neural tube development in the growing fetus. Vitamin D deficiency is very common among people of color, primarily since pigmentation reduces vitamin D production in the skin. Vitamin D helps to protect against chronic conditions such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and some cancers, all of which are more prevalent in the black population. Magnesium is an important mineral that African American women often don’t get enough of in a standard diet, where low magnesium levels are often associated with high blood pressure. Omega-3s, Blood Sugar Support (benfotiamine), CoQ10, and Garlic are some other nutritional supplements that can help support heart health, especially given that African Americans can experience an increased incidence of heart disease and type 2 diabetes. Hair, Skin, & Nails is a must for black women who need to support hair growth and maintain moisture in the skin. In addition to creating a robust nutritional assessment to curate a customized pack of vitamins and nutrients for each person, Persona Nutrition also organizes the supplements by time of day to take personalization one-step further. There are nutrients that should be taken at various times of the day to help optimize health. For instance, you don’t want to take an energy-promoting nutrient right before bedtime. Our Persona vitamin packs are clearly marked by time of day to make daily nutrition truly personalized.
