Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries Klash Over Wedding Kash

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries are engaged in a game of He Said/She Said/Nobody Cares. According to reports, the Nets rebounding machine is asking for $7 million in order to agree to a quickie divorce… or else he’ll take the reality star to court and do all he can to expose their marriage as a money-making scam. But those in Kim’s camp believe the request and the entire complaint is absurd, considering Humphries also cashed in on the wedding , earning a cool million bucks for the selling of photos, along with over $250,000 for each Keeping Up with the Kardashians appearance. Where is all that money now? In a joint account he’s never touched, Kris says. In his own account he most certainly HAS touched, Kardashian says. For now, the joint account that was actually shared by the couple is being frozen by a judge until the mess is sorted out. Who will be the winner in this legal battle? Most certainly not the public, that much we know.

Runaway Horses Kills 1, injures 23 at 4th of July Parade

Two runaway horses pulling a wagon trampled spectators at a small-town Fourth of July parade, killing a 60-year-old woman and injuring at least 23 other people, four critically. The horses bolted after one rubbed its head against the other, removing that horse's bridle, police said. They galloped for several blocks with the wagon in tow, trampling parade-goers. The wagon flipped and ejected its two passengers, police said. Among those injured were children who had stooped in the street to pick up candy that had been tossed to them. Sandie Crilly, 46, of Willow Springs, Ill., said she was collecting Tootsie Rolls from the street with her 8-year-old son, 12-year-old niece and 2-year-old granddaughter when the horses ran toward them about halfway through the parade. Someone yelled to get out of the way, she said. “I could see it was two horses,” Crilly said. “I could see they were running at full speed and they were harnessed together and I knew we were going to most certainly get hit, and as soon as it happened, everybody was crying and screaming.” Police declined to identify the woman who died, but said she passed away at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City. Four people were hospitalized in critical condition, five others were seriously hurt and 14 others sustained minor injuries, police said. added by: Stoneyroad

The Gossip Girl Pun Index: Love is a Pun-Free Battlefield

The knives were most certainly out on Gossip Girl last night. The episode (“Inglorious Bassterds” for those keeping score at home) dealt with all the little betrayals that couples do to each other on a daily basis. Or, at least couples on Gossip Girl . So Dan and Vanessa lied to each other about how they felt about their respective work, Nate got kissed by hopeful man-stealer Jenny but didn’t tell his girlfriend Serena, and Chuck used Blair’s emotional attachment (and l-o-v-e) to get his precious Empire Hotel back. Never mind that Chuck’s a billionaire and the hotel is ultimately meaningless; it’s a symbol for his father’s something something something. How did Gossip Girl’s cheeky puns and wordplay fit in with the episode’s theme? Not very well. To the list!
