I don’t know about you, but I hate all the negativity going around the world today. It’s like when you turn on the news, or hit any website everyone is hating, and as a professional critic, who is confused as a hater, when really I don’t care, sometimes I think it’s okay to celebrate people and their stunts…that may not pan out how they wanted them to pan out, you know a fail at the task at hand, while in turn are just a fucking win. If this girl made the roof to pool jump as she wanted to, no one would know she did, it would never hit the internet, so the fact that she didn’t make it, is why we do. So call it a fail, I see it as a hit not a miss, and anything involving pain and bikinis work for me.
Looks like Beyonce really is pregnant. Reliable sources claim that the superstar singer is in fact expecting her second child with husband Jay-Z! Yes, E! confirmed the news we all had a feeling was coming. The news follows rampant speculation that the “Countdown” to Baby No. 2 was underway even as the duo remained tight-lipped about the rumors. Earlier this month, the Beyonce pregnancy chatter began thanks to her custom-made Givenchy MET Gala gown, which deftly concealed her stomach. Or so the story went. But then it began to really seem true. Then, the rumor mill really started churning when the 31-year-old was forced to cancel a Belgium concert “as a result of dehydration and exhaustion.” That’s code for “pregnant” or at least “not telling you what’s really going on.” Perhaps most telling was that her apology for the canceled show did not include a denial of the pregnancy rumors or a better explanation of why. The pair has not officially confirmed that #2 is on the way, but we’re guessing at this point they’re just laying low until the start of her second trimester. Anyway, congrats to Beyonce, Jay and Blue Ivy Carter!

Earlier this year Karrueche told Rolling Out that dealing with the attention that came from breaking up with Chris Brown in 2012 “was very hard.” “The most challenging part about the attention was the negativity and the misconception from some people,” she said after he dumped her for Rihanna . “People only see you in blogs and they think they know everything about you. There are things that go public and everything that comes out is not the truth.” In this case, she communicated quite well directly with her fans, who she seems happy to remind about her relationship with the R&B superstar. Shouldn’t we be happy for Gabby? We just wish this exciting makeover, given by celebrity hairstylist Ted Gibson, wasn’t overshadowed by all of the negativity surrounding the Double-Gold Olympic Champion. Seems Gabby’s team put a plan in action once the star returned back to the states this week; one of her many stops was at Gibson’s salon: “I couldn’t believe it and still can’t,” Gibson, who has worked on the tresses of Anne Hathaway, Angelina Jolie, Kate Gosselin and Ashley Greene, told The Daily Beast on Wednesday about the criticism Douglas received over her slicked-back ponytail. “You have this young girl doing amazing things, and the conversation becomes about her hair? It was ridiculous and shameful.” Earlier this month, the pint-sized Team USA gymnast, who’s the first African American female to win the All-Around gold, shed some light on the trivial, tress-related matter. “They have no idea what they’re talking about,” she told Us Weekly. “We rotate from event to event so there’s no time for them to say ‘Representing the USA, Gabrielle Douglas’ and me to say ‘Yeah, thanks!’ as I’m brushing my hair. It’s so disrespectful! I’m not thinking about that. I’m thinking about bringing a gold medal home.” So on Tuesday, Gibson, who also lends his talents on What Not to Wear, worked his mane magic on the Virginia Beach native and gave her a hair makeover that the teen couldn’t stop gushing about: frizz-free, center-parted waves that fall a few inches below her shoulders. Over the weekend rapper Canibus added J.Cole to the list of MCs he’s had issue with over the years. What made this latest assault so bizarre is that J. Cole has publicly stated that Canibus is one of his favorite MCs and biggest influences, even playing his music at his shows. Well, it seems that is exactly what Canibus had a problem with. In an open letter, the artist best known for his battle with LL Cool and the classic diss record “Second Round K.O.” , said he felt disrespected by Cole for not mentioning his newer work. “Cole might say he does this to pay homage, but in reality, by him playing my older material owned by my former label dating back to 1998, subsequently overlooking my current works and contributions which directly benefit me now, he is treating me less like an artist that has, and continues to contribute, influence, and inspire an even younger generation of MC’s coming up…” ( read the full letter here ) Canibus went on to add that Cole speaks about him “like he’s dead.” The letter was followed by a diss track called “J. Clone” (listen here) where Bis calls Cole out by his government name Jermaine and replays sound bites of interviews where Cole praises him. “ If it ain’t a threat, then it must be a promise / You said my name so much they think you’re being honest. ” The entire campaign wreaked of a desperate plea for attention and there was a very vocal outcry from fans and artists alike. Sean Price , who has recorded songs with Canibus on several occasions even Tweeted, “You get no points dissin J. Cole. Leave that man alone Canibus.” Well, it appears that Canibus got the message loud and clear and issued the following apology via Youtube. “I’ve seen thousands of comments about this J.Cole track and all of the negativity it’s stirring up, ” he says with Slick Rick’s “Hey Young World” playing in the background. “And after 48 hours of it I feel confident enough to say that it’s unanimous. Hip-Hop has spoken up loud and clear. It’s a “Cole” world right now and you’re the reigning champ, J. I take a full responsibility for my actions and I apologize for stepping over the line.” Truth be told, Canibus’s gripe is not unique. Many veteran hip-hop artists who still record have publicly wished that fans and DJs would embrace their new work instead of living in the past. But that doesn’t mean they go and attack those who still support them. Furthermore, you have some artists like Lil Kim who have waged war on MCs for NOT paying homage in the way Cole has. What kind of message is this sending to new artists? Fourteen years ago Canibus was the young buck “paying homage” and the old head took it the wrong way. You’d think he’d remember that . But throughout his career Canibus has morphed into this curmudgeonly, stereotypical mad rapper picking bones with everyone from Eminem , Joe Budden and Royce Da 5′ 9′ to even KRS-ONE . So the collective eye roll at this J.Cole shot seemed to finally shame him into calming down. “I’m not a hater, I just went too far and I hope hip-hop can forgive me for my foolishness,” he concludes. “I’m gonna go sit my old ass down somewhere right now.
