According to The Daily Mail, the romance between Selena Gomez and George Shelley is set to officially begin, with the former reportedly leaving the latter a recent video message that said the following: “Hey, George, it’s Selena. I was in London for a bit and I’m bummed I missed you so next time give me call.” George Shelley and Selena Gomez to Date? The Union J singer tells the newspaper that he was “gob-smacked” by Gomez’s words and plans to take her on a beach date in Lisbon next month. “We could have a little bonfire,” Shelley says , clearing hoping sparks fly between the young artists. There has been rumors that Shelley was dating 22-year old singer Jesy Nelson, but he cleared those up for the publication and made it clear his sights are only set on Selena: “Jesy is one of my best mates. We’re really close. Jesy wouldn’t be at all annoyed if I met up with Selena – she’d probably want to come too.” SOUNDS HOT!
If you think PETA reached a new low when it placed a lettuce bikini on Courtney Stodden , well… The organization is pushing for the National Buffalo Wing Festival to ban pregnant women from competing in its chicken-wing eating contest… because consuming this item may cause their unborn sons to develop small penises. PETA Urges Banning of Pregnant Women from Chicken-Eating Contest “Pregnant women may want to think twice before chomping on those chicken wings, or their sons could come up short,” PETA Associate Director of Campaigns Lindsay Rajt said in a statement. See, there was this thing conducted called the Study for Future Family which determined that chemical compound in chicken might diminish genital size. Maybe. Possibly. It’s at least conceivable. And that was enough for PETA to take its stance, while also listing its usual reasons for why folks should not eat chicken, whether they are expecting or not. “Chickens suffer every day of their abbreviated lives, including when they’re hung upside down by their legs from conveyor belts before their throats are cut,” the release added. “They’re also often submerged in scalding-hot water to be defeathered while still conscious.” And then to really drive its point home, the company told folks to check outs its gallery of nude PETA ads . That’ll show those carnivores!
Ever defiant, Joe Francis claims he is not going to jail, despite just being sentenced to 270 days in jail for assault and false imprisonment of a woman. Francis claims the sentence is “ridiculous” and “absurd” and he won’t rest until it’s all thrown out. He also says the jury is mentally f–king retarded . Joe Francis Sentenced to Jail Francis was convicted of falsely imprisoning three women at his mansion in 2011, inviting them over to party and then refusing to let them leave. When one resisted, he allegedly choke-slammed the girl into the floor. Still, he insisted after posting bail, “I’m 100 percent innocent.” Francis says he has appealed the jail sentence, which means he won’t have to turn himself in to do time until a judge shoots down his request. You know how long that can take in the legal system. He was also sentenced to probation and psychological counseling, given his obvious temper, but won’t be doing a darn thing until his appeal is heard. Francis says it’s a non-issue, because he’s still sure he’ll win in the end, even though he already lost at trial and had his request for a new one thrown out. What a douche.
The Bachelorette final three are set and off to the overnight dates after the somewhat surprising elimination of Zak Waddell on Monday’s episode. So who’s it gonna be? If you’ve read The Bachelorette spoilers at all this season, you know she’s been really into one guy from the onset. Did last night change any of that? Drew Kenney Brooks Forester Chris Siegfried Brooks Forester is the man Des said she was in love with prior to the hometown dates, but Chris Siegfried and Drew Kenney both helped their chances. Enough to pull an upset over Brooks? That’s the million-dollar question. From what we know of Desiree Hartsock , it seems very unlikely that she’ll send all of them home, no matter what the promos might make it look like. We know she envisions Brooks at the end of her journey (take a shot, Bachelorette drinking game players), while the other two are also good choices. Emma Roberts was arrested on a domestic violence charge July 7, according to reports. The incident took place in Canada, and the alleged victim was boyfriend Evan Peters. Emma Roberts, Eric Roberts’ daughter and Julia Roberts’ niece, was taken into custody after someone called police to report a fight in Evan and Emma’s hotel room. Police found Evan with a bloody nose when they arrived, and Emma was arrested. A law enforcement source tells TMZ that Evan also had a bite mark on him. Emma, 22, was released hours later when Evan, 26, declined to press charges. Sources close to Roberts say she and Evan were in fact hitting each other but only she was arrested since he had the obvious physical injuries. The sources deny the bite mark detail and note that the couple is back together and both are working on the upcoming season of American Horror Story . Here’s hoping this Canadian horror story was a one-off.

911 is definitely a joke now. Checks have just stopped coming in for a Dallas 911 operator who decided to air her racist views on black folks on her Facebook page. Via MailOnline reports : A 911 operator has been fired for allegedly posting numerous racist remarks on her Facebook page. April Sims, from Dallas, Texas, compares black people to ‘animals’, says they have ‘sh** for brains’ and blames them for wasting time calling 911. The posts on her page were not available but one of her Facebook friends sent them to a local news station. One read: ‘Black people are outrageous! They are more like animals, they never know how to act, just loud [expletive] Always causing problems.’ ‘I can count on one hand the black people I know who don’t have [expletive] for brains. I can count on one hand the black people I know who aren’t selfish.’ Another said: ‘You want to call 911 cause your boyfriend put his hands on you and you want to press charges when you don’t even know his real name?! ‘Sure let’s make a police report for Dino, that is his street name.’ The Dallas Police Department announced last night that Sims had been terminated for violating the department’s social media policy. The policy prohibits employees from posting items or information that may adversely affect the morale, confidence, and public respect of the department. She was hired by the department in December. Dallas City Councilman Dwaine Caraway told WFAA that the incident ‘embarrasses not just the department, it embarrasses the city. ‘Number one, I am shocked and it saddens me to know that this is going on and still taking place in today’s time, especially here in 911.’ Sims is said to have contacted a News8 reporter last night to say that nothing on her page has been deleted. On her Facebook postings, someone asks her if her page was hacked. She responds by saying she stands by every word. Also on her page, in response to someone who challenged the remarks, she hinted at some of the difficulties facing 911 operators and callers. ‘You should be more worried about the fact that there is often no Spanish speaker on duty. We have to call a 3rd party language line therefore causing those citizens to wait over a minute for emergency assistance. ‘All because the city doesn’t want to pay employees more speak Spanish. That’s what you should be worried about.’ Her page still states that she works as a ’911 CALLTAKER at Dallas Police Department’. SMH @ this bi*** right here…

You’ll forgive Ann Curry for not caring a whole lot about what her NBC bosses think. The former Today Show host made her first live appearance on screen last night since her controversial firing, hosting the Nightly News for Brian Williams. And while fans were psyched to see the return of this former co-host, they were also taken aback by her new haircut. As were network producers, apparently. ” Ann was always told by her bosses that her hair had to be long, and she just didn’t like to wear it at that length,” an insider tells The Daily Mail . “She is a no-fuss gal, and doesn’t want to spend a ton of time styling her hair. [So] she just decided to cut it.” Curry reportedly clashed often with producers during her Today run, with higher-ups mocking her fashion and style. So perhaps this was her small attempt at revenge?
