According to TMZ Justin Bieber has pissed off a private jet company … because his plane has been grounded in Miami for 8 hours, while Justin searches for his pet monkey … TMZ has learned. Sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ … Justin rented a private jet to take him from Miami to Burbank. The plane was supposed to take off at 11 AM ET, but the Biebs called to say he was running late. Hours passed … and he showed up at around 3 PM. But we’re told he wasn’t ready to smoke out of Miami because he needed to pick up his monkey from West Palm Beach. Four more hours passed, and the monkey hasn’t surfaced at the airport. We’re told Bieber actually chartered a helicopter to bypass street traffic and retrieve the primate. We’re told Bieber has 30 minutes left at the time of this post … before the pilot pulls the plug because he’s about to run out of duty time. If we were the pilot, we would read Justin the Riot Act. Cue up the “Axel F”: Tropic Thunder actor Brandon T. Jackson has landed the lead in CBS’s Beverly Hills Cop reboot , which producers plan to bring back as a series for TV under the guidance of original star Eddie Murphy and The Shield ‘s Shawn Ryan. Murphy, who will executive produce and act in the series pilot, will reprise his role as the wisecracking, transplanted cop Axel Foley while Jackson will play Foley’s police officer son. Per Deadline : The series centers on Axel Foley’s blue-collar police officer son, Aaron (Jackson), who helps take down the criminal elements of the rich and famous in Beverly Hills while trying to escape the shadow of his larger-than-life father. Murphy will reprise his role as Axel in the pilot and may recur if the pilot goes to series. And look — Jackson’s already a part of the Beverly Hills Cop family! (Pictured below: Judge Reinhold and Jackson at Spike TV’s “Eddie Murphy: One Night Only” event earlier this month.) If this Beverly Hills Cop reboot business is happening, I’m glad it’s someone like Jackson, one of the more consistently hilarious actors of his class, getting the big shot. This just in from Deadline: Dimension Films, who has the rights to David Cronenberg’s 1981 telepath sci-fi horror pic Scanners , is adapting the genre film not into further sequels or remakes but into a television series. French horror director Alexandre Aja ( High Tension , The Hills Have Eyes , Piranha 3D ) will exec produce the drama and may direct the pilot. [ Deadline ]
