Funny Or Foul? Khloe Kompares The Kardashians To The KKK, Pokes Fun At Their Love Of Black Peen

You mad or nah? The Kardashians make no secret of their love for Black peen men , and it’s a running joke between them and us. Apparently after hearing about the more friendly and inclusive branch of the KKK in Montana , Khloe posted this OMG HILARIOUS SO TRUE (and kind of old) meme up to her IG account earlier this evening: But not everyone saw the humor in it. Via RadarOnline : Khloe Kardashian has stuck her Louboutin in her mouth again. After the famously quick-witted Kardashian sister posted a joke about the KKK on her Instagram Tuesday night, critics were swift to slam the seemingly tasteless move, with one editor even calling her a “trash bag!” Kardashian kicked off the furor when she posted a pic of herself with sisters Kim and Kourtney that read, “The only KKK to let black men in,” and captioned it “True.” “Wow Khloe Kardashian, you are a trash bag,” Ebony Senior Digital Editor Jamilah Lemieux tweeted in response. “…I checked her IG, hoping it was a hoax.” “Now just waiting for the ‘I got hacked’ tweets to start!” Lemieux wrote. “Date the whole NBA, who cares?” she continued. “But show a modicum of respect. The Klan killed and terrorized our people. Ironically she was Black girls’ fave one of the group because she’s witty and a size 8. Ugh. Black men the only ones defending her…” Other twitter users chimed in, “IDK maybe it’s just me, but if I were attracted to and slept with and married black men, I might not make KKK jokes, just a thought.” User @DerrickClifton wrote, “If you’re a white woman (ahem Khloe) who’s dated or married a black man, one would assume you’d get why a KKK joke isn’t even remotely funny.” “Khloe Kardashian disgusts me,” @xodanix chimed in. Her sister Kourtney’s baby daddy Scott Disick posted the same pic on his Instagram as well. Naturally Khloe deleted this with a quickness when she saw how poorly received it was. Cue Tyga, The Game, or some other smitten Black rapper to cape up and fly to the defense of “The KKK” in 5…4…3…2… Instagram

Richard Sherman Apologizes For NFC Title Game Rant, Coaches Defend Seahawks Star

Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman has apologized for going OFF on rival Michael Crabtree after his NFL team clinched the NFC title Sunday. Sherman boasted of being pro football’s best corner and called Crabtree a “sorry receiver” in a brief but comically intense chat with Fox Sports’ Erin Andrews: Richard Sherman Loses It in Postgame Interview Only moments before Richard Sherman’s rant , he had made a game-saving play against Crabtree, sealing a dramatic victory and Seattle’s trip to the Super Bowl. Sherman, a communications major from Stanford, says he’s sorry – not for bashing his opponent, but for the distraction he caused in the wake of the win. “Obviously I could have worded things better and could obviously have had a better reaction and done things differently,” he said in an interview on ESPN Radio. “But it is what it is now, and people’s reactions are what they are.” He also told ESPN: “I apologize for attacking an individual and taking the attention away from the fantastic game by my teammates … That was not my intent.” Seattle coach Pete Carroll said, “He was really clear that the last thing he wanted to do was take something away from our team, what we had accomplished.” The son of a social worker and garbage-truck driver in Compton, Calif., he was a straight-A student who played for 49ers Coach Jim Harbaugh at Stanford. Current Stanford coach David Shaw, part of Harbaugh’s staff and a friend of Sherman’s, knows about the Seahawks player’s kind side, and his drive. “Richard was the first to raise his hand [to volunteer for community events. He was there at the beginning [of an event for people with Down syndrome],” Shaw said. “He stayed past the end. He is the farthest thing from a thug you can imagine. Thugs don’t volunteer to help out at Special Olympics when they’re in high school.” “But the flip side is a guy who’s ultracompetitive. You put him in that environment, where the game is very personal, and when the gauntlet’s thrown down, he’s ready.” The problem on Sunday night, his defenders say, was Crabtree. The two men just don’t like each other, with bad blood brimming over during a charity event with Larry Fitzgerald of the Arizona Cardinals last summer. “He said something personal face-to-face,” Sherman said. “He knows what he said, and now he knows I’m going to be tough on him the rest of his career.” After tipping away the pass intended for Crabtree into the hands of teaamate Malcolm Smith and clinching Sunday’s win, Sherman ran up to Crabtree. He patted him on the butt and appeared to extend his hand for a handshake, but Crabtree shoved him in the face. Sherman went on to make a choke sign. Sherman realized that his conduct had been poorly received and wrote that “it was loud, it was in the moment, but it was just a small part of who I am.”

Christina Aguilera To Sing National Anthem At Super Bowl

Singer will help open the February 6 game in Dallas. By Gil Kaufman Christina Aguilera Photo: Jason Merritt/ Getty Images We already know who’ll be playing in the Super Bowl on February 6, thanks to the two exciting wins by the Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. And we know that the Black Eyed Peas will provide the halftime entertainment , which raises the obvious question: Who’ll be singing the national anthem before the sure-to-be-epic battle between two of the NFL’s most iconic franchises? Fox and the NFL announced on Monday (January 24) that the honors will go to none other than Christina Aguilera. Though the diva failed to launch a tour in support of her poorly received studio album Bionic and her big-screen debut in “Burlesque” quickly faded, Aguilera will take to one of the biggest media stages there is when she helps open the big game at Cowboys Stadium in North Texas prior to kickoff. If last year’s game is any indication, more than 153 million people could be on hand to watch the game, which last year notched the largest TV audience in history. “I have been performing the anthem since I was seven years old and I must say the Super Bowl is a dream come true,” Aguilera said in a statement. “I am really excited to be part of such an iconic event.” She breaks the string of “American Idol” divas doing the honors, which have been performed by Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Hudson and Jordin Sparks over the past three years. It also puts her into an elite group of stars who’ve recently taken on the difficult tune in the past, which includes Beyonc

His album was slated for a September release, but the scheduled date has come and gone. Michael Jackson’s Estate: What’s Coming Next?

Unreleased songs, Cirque du Soleil shows, a video game and much more are on the roster. By Gil Kaufman Michael Jackson Like Elvis, Bob Marley and Tupac Shakur, in death, Michael Jackson ‘s popularity has only grown stronger. The singer, who died at age 50 on June 25, 2009, while gearing up for a 50-concert comeback attempt, has generated nearly $1 billion in revenue for his cash-strapped estate since his death. And with a number of projects in the works , it’s likely that cash registers will keep ringing for years to come. Part of the reason the managers of Jackson’s estate moved so quickly to cut a number of lucrative deals in the months after the singer’s death is because of a $500 million mountain of debt they were facing. According to CNBC , they chipped away at that by launching a four-pronged plan that included generating cash to pay bills, developing long-term projects for regular cash flow, restructuring Jackson’s massive debt, and then working to restore the pop star’s image, complicated and tarnished by decades of bizarre behavior and two allegations of improper sexual contact with children. A spokesperson for the estate could not be reached for comment at press time to confirm future plans. One of the biggest deals was a $250 million pact with Sony Music Entertainment to release 10 new products encompassing CDs, DVDs and video games through 2017. The first of those albums, a still-untitled collection of unreleased songs, is due out at the end of this year. A repackaging of the singer’s 1979 solo debut, Off the Wall — which was reissued with bonus tracks in 2001 — is expected in 2011 with more outtakes and remixes. Jackson had been working for years on a follow-up to the poorly received 2001 album Invincible, recording tracks with Lenny Kravitz , Akon and Will.I.Am, among others, some of which have leaked in unfinished demo form. But it’s unknown if those songs will be packaged as the album Jackson was working on at the time of his death or if they will be sprinkled in among the future releases. His former label boss, Tommy Mottola, said soon after Jackson’s death that there were “dozens” of unreleased tracks that could see the light of day at some point. Reports surfaced this week that a collector discovered more than 200 unreleased Jackson 5 tracks in a warehouse. The “This Is It” documentary of rehearsals for the 50-date London comeback shows has already generated $300 million at the global box office and millions more on DVD. But concert promoter AEG Live said at the time of Jackson’s death, it had shot more than 100 hours of high-definition footage , meaning further repackaging of that material could be coming in the future. A video game from Ubisoft that will allow fans to re-create Jackson’s signature dance moves is due by the end of the year, and two new Cirque du Soleil shows employing Jackson’s music are slated to launch by 2012. The first show will be one of the Canadian troupe’s traditional traveling extravaganzas hitting the road in 2011, while the other will be anchored in Las Vegas and is expected to open in 2012. CNBC said the future of Jackson’s onetime adult playland, the 2,600-acre Neverland Ranch in Santa Barbara County, California, is still up in the air. The site is currently owned by Colony Capital, but it could be sold or moved to Las Vegas to create a tourist destination. Also up in the air is an auction of Jackson’s personal effects from Neverland, which he had arranged before his death as a way to raise money to pay off his debts. Plans for the 2009 auction were scrapped at the last minute after the thousands of items had already been put on display by Julien’s Auction House in Los Angeles. MTV will be remembering the life and music of Michael Jackson all weekend. Don’t miss the one-hour special “Michael Jackson’s Influence on Music,” airing tonight at 6:30 p.m. on MTV. ‘American Idol’ Eliminations Shock And Disappoint Fans

‘Idol’ watchers are torn up over Thursday’s ousters of Lilly Scott, Alex Lambert and Katelyn Epperly. By Gil Kaufman Alex Lambert and Katie Stevens on “American Idol” on Thursday Photo: Frank Micelotta/ Getty Images The sound of jaws dropping across the country after Thursday night’s shocking “American Idol” vote-off was mirrored in the comments left by MTV News readers in the wake of the eliminations of Katelyn Epperly, Lilly Scott, Alex Lambert and Todrick Hall. “I can’t believe they sent this group away,” wrote a dumbfounded Dprk7r79 on Friday morning. “Did America really vote like this? I liked Lilly and Alex a lot.” Others were just mad that voters appeared to just get it all wrong again. “How disappointing. Three of the four best contestants were sent home,” said Green Eggs and Ham. “I hope that Lilly, Alex and Todrick’s contracts allow them to produce albums now, because I will buy them. As for American Idol … You lost me tonight. I won’t be watching your show for the balance of this season.” Some suggested that the nefarious spoilsports at VoteForTheWorst.com are having a real impact on season nine and throwing the vote. “Lilly and Alex should NOT have gone home, they were two of the best,” argued Fortunefox. “Shocked really. I think VFTW is having an unfortunate impact this season. Crystal [Bowersox], Michael [Lynche] & Lee [Dewyze] should be afraid … very afraid because as good as they are – tonight proves that NO ONE IS SAFE.” Quite a few said they thought Scott and Epperly should have been saved in favor of teen Katie Stevens and Paige Miles, with the latter having her roughest week to date with a poorly received cover of “Smile” and the former continuing to struggle to sound contemporary and find her artistic niche. And, like quite a few angry posters, RockChick suggested that Lambert deserved to stay over onetime front-runner Andrew Garcia, who she said has been on a downward slide since his lauded “Straight Up” cover, even as Lambert has been steadily improving. As for commenter Stampede, well, disbelief is the only way to describe it. “I’m still in shock from the eliminations tonight on ‘American Idol,’ ” read Stampede’s response. “Absolutely as usual America gets in wrong. I mean this is the 9th season of ‘American Idol,’ and in the 8 already finished, only 3 of the winners were the right choice. Lilly Scott is amazing, Alex Lambert has a great soulful voice, Andrew Garcia should have been the one to go. And for the girls, Didi [Benami] or Paige should have been the ones to go. Absolute outrage.” Stampede even suggested that next year the power should be taken out of viewers’ hands and the judges should decide who gets eliminated each week. Ann Isabel is holding out hope that there’s a wild-card round this year, providing the opportunity for one the semi-finalists to return. And while many fans wrote in giving props to Scott and Lambert for their unique skills, one poster, Rachel, was just mad. “I can understand everyone’s disappointment when some of the true talent got sent home last night,” she said. “So when did the audience of this show turn into idiots? Probably last season after they picked the wrong winner yet again! I know why Crystal didn’t get super excited when she got in the top twelve, when you are a true artist on a show voted on by kids who have Hannah Montana on their TiVo you can’t expect real talent to be realized!!! I mean Tim [Urban] Really!???!!! And Katie!???!! Yeah sure they could make it on a Disney Channel special but … ‘American Idol?’ I think NOT!!!!!!!” Get your “Idol” fix on MTV News’ “American Idol” page , where you’ll find all the latest news, interviews and opinions. ‘American Idol’ Shocker: Lilly Scott, Alex Lambert, Katelyn Epperly, Todrick Hall Exit

Shaky singers Aaron Kelly and Paige Miles survive to make it to the season-nine top 12. By Gil Kaufman Lilly Scott on ‘American Idol’ Thursday Photo: Fox After months of auditions, nail-biting Hollywood drama and three sometimes-painful live-performance weeks, America finally got its top 12 on “American Idol” Thursday night (March 11) on a show that provided some of the first true surprises — and shocking exits — of season nine. The handful of singers who appeared certain to end their runs on the show after crash-and-burn performances got miracle reprieves as Katelyn Epperly, Lilly Scott, Todrick Hall and Alex Lambert were voted off. In the first elimination group, host Ryan Seacrest waved through potential singer/songwriter Didi Benami and quirky dark horse Siobhan Magnus. That left Katelyn Epperly and Paige Miles standing center stage, with one facing elimination. It seemed certain that Miles, whom the judges have repeatedly said had the strongest voice in the competition, would be the one to go after her poorly received cover of “Smile,” a song made famous by Michael Jackson. But in a surprise, it was Epperly, who went home after an equally slammed cover of Carole King’s “I Feel the Earth Move.” Miles looked shocked and not quite as elated as one would suspect, while the somewhat emotional Epperly began to well up when she said she’d learned a ton on the show and her elimination was “just a push for me to go do more stuff.” The second go-round for “Earth” was a bit more energetic and had the personality the judges had been missing, though the vocals were still not great. Then it was the guys’ turn, as Tim Urban, Todrick Hall, Lee Dewyze and Casey James lined up on the stage. First to go through was sensitive pinup James, who played it safe with Keith Urban’s “You’ll Think of Me,” followed by this year’s true wild card, Urban, who seemed destined to go home after two horrendous weeks but somehow pulled out a strong vocal on Wednesday night with his cover of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah.” Not surprisingly, the much-praised Dewyze was safe, thanks to his serviceable cover of Owl City’s “Fireflies,” while dancer Hall was sent packing even after his big gamble with a gospel version of Queen’s “Somebody to Love” that drew praise but didn’t seem to endear him to voters. Hall seemed to sense his number was up, staring blank-faced into the camera with a resigned look. He said he was just happy that fans came up to him over the weekend and said they’d voted for him. “This has been an awesome experience,” he said. “I came here to prove that I’m not just a dancer, I can also sing. I think I’ve done that.” The reprise of the bombastic glam-rock tune indeed proved that Hall has a powerful voice and strong performance chops that will likely keep the former Broadway star — who performed with onetime “Idol” Fantasia in “The Color Purple” — gainfully employed. Seacrest mixed it up as he built the second half of the top 12, starting out with leading female contender Crystal Bowersox, who looked more nervous than she should have been as she got the good news, followed by Michael Lynche, who was a shoo-in following his searing, tear-jerking cover of Kate Bush’s “This Woman’s Work.” During her second go-round on the show, Lacey Brown made it further than last year, when she washed out just before the live rounds. This year will be different, as she took a seat, along with jittery teen Aaron Kelly, who managed to make it to the top 12 despite a so-so performance of Lonestar’s “I’m Already There.” That left Alex Lambert and Andrew Garcia standing with their arms around each other’s shoulders awaiting the news. It was another shocking exit, as Lambert, who was beginning to overcome his paralyzing case of stage fright, got the bad news. The men gave each other several deep hugs, and Lambert lamented how nervous he was during his run. “There’s a lot of things America hasn’t seen me do yet,” he said. “And a lot of things I know I’m capable of. … I wish I could have just broken out of my shell.” Magnus was brought to tears, and Bowersox mouthed along as Lambert tried his best to keep his emotions in check during one more run through Ray LaMontagne’s “Trouble,” earning a group hug from the male top six at song’s end. The final pairing featured teen Katie Stevens and Lilly Scott awaiting their fate. Stevens, who was tagged as a potential winner of the whole thing early on, stumbled in the live rounds, unable to find a performance personality and repeatedly getting feedback from the judges that she came off as much older than 17 and needed to get more experience under her belt. But, despite another poorly received performance on Tuesday, this time of Kelly Clarkson’s “Breakaway,” America gave her the nod over Scott, a unique performer who won the judges over with her offbeat style, musical chops and a solid cover of Patsy Cline’s “I Fall to Pieces.” Scott looked dumbfounded at the news and genuinely bummed. “I thought I did really well, I thought I was appealing to a lot of people,” she said, shaking her head while Stevens wiped away tears of joy. “I put my heart into every performance. I really gave it my all every time. … I don’t know what America wants to hear.” Without her mandolin, Scott sang another solid rendition of the 50-year-old country classic, singing it even more powerfully than she did earlier in the week, perhaps leaving the audience with a sense of an opportunity missed. The show opened with one of the blandest group lip-synch numbers in recent memory, a vanilla waltz through Michael Bubl
