Even though the movie was dragged by critics — Roger Ebert gave it 0 stars, calling it “jaw-droppingly bad, a movie so misconceived I wonder why anyone involved wanted to make it” — it became a beloved classic-like film in the Black community. But that was 1997. Even then, Ebert, a white man, criticized the depiction of Berry and Desselle’s lead characters as “a hurtful stereotype.” And in this post-Madea, call-out-culture landscape, I don’t see a B.A.P.S part deux going over well at all. I also don’t see Academy Award-winning, 52-year-old Berry going for it either. Nicki Minaj Gets Support From Pop Princesses While rap fans are iffy (at best) about Nicki Minaj’s tardy clapback against Remy …the pop world is LOVING what they hear. Nicki posted a compilation video of stars like Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, Jhene Aiko, and Tinashe grooving to her diss track, noting that though they all have the most innocent and sweet faces…they’re each lowkey savages who can really relate. Well Nicki DID say her aim was to make a hit moreso than to justify Remy with a response…and with these ladies pushing her product to their ‘tween fans…looks like that goal might get accomplished. After all, as she keeps reminding everyone, she’s a chart-topper by nature. Love & Hip Hop Hollywood Season 3 Episode 3 Recap: When Princesses Attack

On Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood Season 3 Episode 3 , Princess confronted Moniece and, well, you can imagine how that played out. Watch Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood Season 3 Episode 3 Online Oh yes, Princess Love has had enough of Moniece Slaughter bashing her in the media, and things finally came to a head this week. Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood Season 3 Episode 3 saw things almost get violent after Moniece asked Princess to apologize to her. We know. The indignity. If you watch Love & Hip Hop Hollywood online , you know this was a long time coming, but still, nothing ever prepares you fully. First off, Willie admitted he had been texting Kyesha behind Shanda’s back, and promises he will do better. She’s not amused. Meanwhile, Brandi tells Princess that she and her friend/business partner turned their online boutique into an actual storefront. Princess is happy for Brandi but wants to know where she got the money; Max gave her $27,000 to put aside for their son. She spent it on … this. Brandi also says she uses Princess as an alibi whenever Max asks what he’s up to, and since Princess is engaged to Brandi’s brother? Let’s just say that puts her in an awkward position, and later, Princess tells Ray J what Brandi is up to, begging him not to tell Max. Even more awkward. Ray J promises he won’t talk, but Max starts to figure out that there’s something up, and it’s only a matter of time before this is exposed. Not much time, it turns out. The day of Brandi’s launch party at the boutique, everything is going well until Max SHOCKINGLY shows up. Brandi comes clean, at which point Max storms out to leave, only to watch Brandi jump on the hood of the car and windshield screaming. Really good times. Eventually she gets off, Max speeds away and Brandi collapses in the middle of the street crying after a brief attempt to give chase. Finally, the main event: Princess wants to know why Moniece keeps running her damn mouth talking about her during interviews and Mo wants her to say sorry. Ain’t happening. Moniece gets up to walk away but Princess runs around the table and tries to lunge for after her, until security steps in to break it up. Just another week in Hollywood, right? That s–t cray, but it’s par for the course with this cast of characters VH1 has assembled for us. When Justin Bieber is away, the alleged felon will play. With Kylie Jenner! In new photos posted to Instagram by Lil Za, the controversial rapper is hanging out in Bieber’s kitchen with this 16-year old reality star, posing happily with Kylie inside a mansion that was recently raided by police. As part of that raid, of course, Za (or do his friends call him “Lil”) was arrested for drug possession and later charged with three felonies . But he doesn’t seem too bothered by that in this pictures, does he? Jenner was spotted with Lil Twist in July getting frozen yogurt, but subsequently denied the two were more than friends. As for Kylie’s status with this Lil? It’s unclear. Historically, Farrah Abraham’s behavior has often defied description, not to mention consistency, logic, truth and really any semblance of sense. You can’t take anything she says at face value, including what she’s revealing this week about the dark past that made her who she is at present. Then again, if these shocking revelations are true, that might actually explain a lot about her some of the decisions and comments she’s made lately. According to Farrah Abraham , in a new interview with In Touch , she endured beatings when she was a child and several brutal rapes as an adult. “Violence has been a big part of my life,” she says, claiming now-divorced parents Debra Danielson and Michael Abraham “would beat me with a belt if I acted out.” “I had cuts, bruise, welts, swelling and scars,” she tells the celebrity gossip site. “The abuse tore me down and at times made me feel like not living.” As a result, she turned to plastic surgery for a self-esteem boost, spending more then $30,000 on a nose job, chin implant, Botox and two boob jobs. “Abuse made me feel that I’m never attractive enough,” she says. “I try to be so perfect.” There was also the whole foray into porn. Sorry, “sex tape.” Speaking of which, she says she continued to endure more pain after the staged “sex tape” video with porn star James Deen “leaked” last year. In the PR blitz following its release, Abraham said she surrounded herself with “the wrong type of people” at porn conventions, strip joints, and clubs. “I was drugged and raped more than once. It was a dark time,” she adds. “But I’m much more aware now, and I’m determined to break the pattern.” “I still have a lot of issues,” Abraham admits, but with the help of Couples Therapy (even if she’s on the show solo), she says she’s getting better. Teenager Petitions for Plus-Size Disney Princesses: Every Body is Beautiful!

Should there be a plus-size Barbie ? That was a hotly debated question posed on Facebook last month – and now Jewel Moore is hoping to stir up more online chatter. The teenager from Farmville, Virginia has created a petition at Change.org that is titled “Make Plus-Size Princesses in Disney Movies!”  What was this young woman’s motivation? “I made this petition because I’m a plus-size young woman, and I know many plus-size girls and women who struggle with confidence and need a positive plus-size character in the media,” she writes on the pag, adding: “Studies show that a child’s confidence correlates greatly with how much representation they have in the media. It’s extremely difficult to find a positive representation of plus-size females in the media.”  That’s for sure. Especially when the media considers this to be an example of plus-size . Over 11,000 people have signed the petition, which Moore wraps up with hope for a more realistic image for to which countless young girls – who don’t feel they fit the Disney princess standard – can aspire. “It would be revolutionary for Disney to show support to a group of girls who are otherwise horrendously bullied by the media. How many of you have watched a movie and literally laughed until you started crying?  If the answer is yes, you were probably watching one of the movie titles listed below. TUD has compiled a list of 10 funny black movies . These movies provide nothing but laughs from beginning to end.  Most of the movie titles are comedy but they also display some real life issues. I guess that is what make these movies so hilarious. The thing about black movies, they always seem to be about stereotypes of how black people are in real life. It can be pretty funny when you watch a black movie that makes fun of those stereotypes letting the world know that all black people are not the way we are portrayed in movies. Check out the list below and tell us about your experience while watching these funny black movies. 10. B*a*p*s – Black American Princesses directed by Robert Townsend in 1997 starring Halle Berry and Natalie Desselle .  Two females from Atlanta move to L.A. with a dollar and a dream. Niecy wants to be a professional dancer while Mickey thinks she is the next Monifah and black Martha Stewart in the kitchen. Watching Halle Berry dance was hilarious. Too bad we may never get to see her play a role like this again. I for one thought it was refreshing to see her in a comedy. 9. White Chicks – Directed by Keenan Ivory Wayans in 2004. Starring Shawn and Marlon Wayans. Now what is more funny than two black male cops dressed up as rich spoiled rotted white girls. Things got a bit crazy when Kevin and Marcus were assigned to protect the girls on their trip to the Hamptons for the weekend. Too bad for Marcus his wife decided to track him down and a buff football player decided to wife him. 8. CB4 – Directed by Tamra Davis in 1993 starring Chris Rock and Allen Payne . MC Gusto played by Chris Rock decided to take on a real life gangster’s persona and form a rap group with his two friends. Too bad for him the real Gusto hot out of jail and wanted his image back. 7. A Low Down Dirty Shame – Directed by and starring Keenen Ivory Wayans in 1994. Also starring Jada Pinkett-Smith who made the movie extremely hilarious with her wild antics. Shame a detective gets pulled back into his past to track down 15 million dollars. The love of his life Angela resurfaces but she doesn’t get too far thanks to Peaches. 6. Boomerang – Directed by Reginald Hudlin in 1992 starring Eddie Murphy , Robin Givens and Martin Lawrence . This romantic comedy may have been more funny than romantic. The great thing about this movie was you saw successful black people in a corporate setting. Marcus played by Eddie played a successful advertising executive. 5. I’m Gonna Get You Sucka – Directed and starring Keenan Ivory Wayans in 1988. A parody of blaxploitation movies. Jack Spade a black hero wannabe gets together with  former black heroes from the 70s to help him take down Mr. Big. 4. How High – Directed by Jesse Dylan in 2001. Starring rappers Method Man and Redman as two college freshman. These two take over the campus of Harvard after cheating on the SATs with the help of a dead friend who burned himself to death due to smoking a blunt and falling asleep. 3. Don’t Be A Menace 2 Society While Drinking Your Juice In Da Hood – Directed by Paris Barclay in 1996 starring and written by Shawn and Marlon Wayans . A parody about black hood movies and the stereotypes about black people. The Wayans brothers captured the most common stereotypes about black movies and made fun of it. 2. Friday – Directed by and starring rapper Ice Cube in 1995. After Craig loses his job his best friend Smokey played by comedian Chris Tucker get him into some trouble by smoking all of Big Worms weed. Now if that was not enough, he has the fight the biggest bully in the neighborhood Deebo. “Craig can I borrow your VCR” -Crackhead Felisha 1. Coming To America – Directed by John Landis in 1988 starring Eddie Murphy and Aresenio Hall . A fairy tale that may never happen. Hakim and Semmi pack their Louis Vuitton luggage and travel to Queens, NY to find a Queen. What made this movie so funny was the many characters Eddie Murphy played.
