Ke$ha To Appear On Nick’s ‘Victorious’

‘It was really fun to film,’ Victoria Justice says of the ‘Blow’ singer’s cameo. Ke$ha Photo: Fotonoticias/ Getty Images Ke$ha will make an appearance on the hit Nickelodeon series “Victorious.” And while the role won’t have the pop singer stretching her acting muscle too much — she’ll be playing herself — someone else in the Sebert (that’s her real last name) clan also is getting in on the action. Ke$ha will be joined on the episode of the sitcom by her little brother, Louie. The plot will revolve around Tori — played by the show’s star, Victoria Justice — and her pals trying to win a contest to go to a Ke$ha concert. The gang must piece together golden tickets in order to win their chance to see the “Blow” singer in a private gig. It seems that 11-year-old Louie provides the winning piece so that they can watch the glittered one perform the aforementioned track. “It’s a private concert, and yeah, I will say that the costumes are awesome and there’s definitely lots of glitter,” Justice told EW.com, which first reported on the episode. “It was really fun to film. It’s the first time on my show that we’ve had a successful radio artist perform on the show. Ke$ha’s kind of edgier, and I think that it’s cool to bring that element to the show.” “Victorious” made its big debut last spring. When MTV News caught up with Justice at that time, the teen actress admitted that the show’s fun vibe made it possible for anything to happen. “I play a girl named Tori Vega and she’s kind of suddenly accepted to this performance arts high school, and from there it’s her dealing with all these crazy characters that go there and normal teen problems, like trying to fit in and cute boys,” Justice explained. “I also get to perform original music and sing and dance. [That] makes it a lot of fun.” Are you excited to see Ke$ha and her little brother on “Victorious”? Tell us in the comments. Related Artists Ke$ha

Beyonce Paid $2 Million To Perform For Muammar Gaddafi’s Son In Skimpy Fit [Video]

Beyonce has been criticised for performing a private concert for Libyan dictator Colonel Gaddafi’s son. The 28-year-old beauty has been criticised after reports that she spent New Year’s Eve performing at a party hosted by Colonel Muammar Gaddafi’s son Moutassim. The event allegedly took place at nightclub Nikki Beach on the island of St Barts in the Caribbean and it is claimed she was paid $2million for entertaining the likes of Usher, Lindsay Lohan and Gaddafi Jr. Marc Lamont Hill, a Columbia University media professor, said on CNN: “Beyonce’s handlers usually make really good decisions about where she’s going to perform… ‘So it seems to me that someone was asleep at the wheel, or the money was so overwhelming that they said: ‘Screw the public image, we’re going to take the cash.’”

Miranda Cosgrove Urges The ‘Importance’ Of After-School Programs

The ‘iCarly’ star has teamed up with the Quaker Chewy Afterschool Rocks campaign. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Sway Calloway Miranda Cosgrove Photo: MTV News Miranda Cosgrove already has a pretty sweet after-school program to keep her busy: her hit Nickelodeon series “iCarly.” But the teen star is doing her part to help ensure that other kids have something positive to get into when the last bell rings. The actress teamed up with Quaker Oats for Quaker Chewy Afterschool Rocks, a campaign co-sponsored by the nonprofit Afterschool Alliance . The aim of the partnership is to extend access to affordable, quality after-school programs to students across the country. Cosgrove thinks the cause is vital. “It’s really cool,” she told MTV News. “They’re bringing after-school programming back to schools.” In March, Cosgrove hung out with a group of students at PS 72 in Harlem, New York. “I got to meet all the kids, and they did a choreographed dance,” said Cosgrove, who was treated to a performance by the 90’s Babies dance troupe, an offshoot of the Harlem RBI sports-based educational program. But Cosgrove is not just a spokesperson. The actress — whose album Sparks Fly is due later this month — will be performing a private concert for about 300 guests. Fans can enter to win a ticket through the Chewy Afterschool Rocks sweepstakes . “I just think that after-school programs are really important,” Cosgrove said. “I remember when I was little, my big thing was I was on a baseball team. I remember it as one of my favorite memories. I went out with my dad and got a whole baseball outfit. And I made up a team name. We called ourselves the Rose Buds.” What after-school programs are you involved in? Let us know in the comments below! Related Artists Miranda Cosgrove
