Dancing With the Stars Results: Who’s Outta Here?

It was a mediocre week for Dancing With the Stars competitors overall, but there were bright spots. Notably the emergence of Rob Kardashian and David Arquette. On the other end of the spectrum, there were routines that the celebs and pros would just as soon forget, leaving a slew of dancers in jeopardy on the results show. While you never know going into the Dancing With the Stars results show, it seemed semi-clear to us which competitors had a better path to safety than others. This time, unlike some weeks, our intuitions were correct. So who got the chop among the top eight celebrities when the week’s results were unveiled? Who is safe to tango their way into our hearts another week? Carson Kressley had the lowest score of the week, with Chaz Bono and Nance Grace close behind. One of the three is sitting on the sideline now. Which one? Follow the jump to find out … Carson Kressley , despite being considered a crowd favorite by so many, could not overcome a few straight weeks of lackluster efforts on the parquet. Despite the fact that his departure was greeted by a loud “Noooo!” from the audience, few can argue they didn’t see it coming, or that he was robbed. “Thank you to everybody at dancing with the stars,” he said. “This has been pure joy … I hope I could make everyone laugh and smile along the way.” It was great being here.” Mission accomplished, Carson. Well done. And then there were seven. Can anyone stop the J.R. Martinez express, or is he charting a course to the finals? Can Ricki Lake bounce back next week? We’ll find out. For now, comment below and vote in our poll: Did Carson Kressley deserve to be voted off DWTS?

Sean Penn Labels Tea Party Members Racists Who Want to "Lynch" President Obama

Sean Penn channeled his inner Morgan Freeman this week. The actor raised eyebrows by calling Tea Party members a bunch of racists, drawing a stinging rebuke from the national coordinator of the Tea Party Patriots. Penn referred to Tea Partiers as the “Get the N-Word Out of the White House Party” on Piers Morgan Tonight , saying its members want to “lynch” President Obama. That sentiment and word choice did not sit well with many. Sean Penn Rips Tea Party Said Mark Meckler , co-founder and national coordinator of the Tea Party Patriots: “I’m fairly certain that Sean Penn has never been to a tea party or met anyone who belongs to a local tea party. I’d be happy to sit down and speak with him if he’s ever interested in really speaking with one of us and learning what we are about instead of just slandering millions of his fellow American citizens with racist hatred.” “While protected by the 1st Amendment, this rhetoric has no place in reasonable discourse in America. Then again, no one ever accused Sean Penn of ‘reasonable discourse.’” We know where Herman Cain stands on this, but what about you? Is the Tea Party racist?

Elsewhere In The World: Sean Penn Has Put Haiti On Hold To Save North Africa

What would Black folks in the world do without Sean Penn in this decade? After basically living in Haiti for an entire year starting last January following the earthquake, Sean Penn, who we’re certain hasn’t abandoned his new part-time island home for good, is now fighting for North Africa. After waving an Egyptian flag in Cairo’s Tahrir Square Friday, Sean Penn has continued west on his humanitarian tour of North Africa. The actor made a stop in Tripoli, Libya, where he spoke to reporters about the state of the country post-Moammar Gadhafi. So what did the star have to say? Penn refused to talk about what his exact plans were in the Libyan capital when he chatted with the press outside his hotel, but he did praise the country’s citizens for their efforts in ousting the dictator, saying he admired “the courage to say ‘we want freedom.’” “It’s an extraordinary thing,” he gushed, adding that he was confident Libya could truly become a democracy. “An enormous price has been paid, but I think there is no question that they can follow it through,” he said. Last week the 51-year-old star was in Cairo, where he was invited by Egyptian-born actor Khaled el-Nabawi to participate in a rally demanding that military rulers speed up the transfer of power to civilians after an 18-day revolt caused the ouster of former Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak in February. Citizens are worried the power will go to Mubarak supporters. Thank you, Based Sean Penn. No seriously… because which famous one of “us” have you heard go there? Source

At the Belasco Theater in downtown Los Angeles, the event featured Cuban cuisine, desserts shaped like lines of cocaine, a Ludacris concert and a Q&A panel with stars Al Pacino, Steven Bauer, Robert Loggia and F. Murray Abraham, as well as Scarface producer Martin Bregman. From their Scarface -style thrones on stage — bathed in red light and surrounded by Roman sculptures, natch — the cast reflected on their movie’s present-day popularity, machine-gun injuries and Eddie Murphy. Some Humpday Swirl: Garcelle Beauvais Spotted On Dinner Date With Sean Penn

Looks like recently divorced Garcelle Beauvais and Sean “I just dumped Scarlett Johansson” Penn are getting it in with each other!! According to E! online : So who shared a meal with the outspoken actor and human-rights activists the other night at the celebrity haunt Sunset Tower Hotel in Los Angeles? Although he was arrived solo and sat alone at the bar for a bit, he was eventually joined by none other than Franklin & Bash actress Garcelle Beauvais. “When she arrived, they moved to the front corner table, which put them on display,” a source tells us. “They sat inside for a while and even ordered food.” Then they moved outside, where Penn was able to smoke—and perhaps have more privacy? Penn’s rep did not immediately comment. Beauvais’ issued the standard line about not commenting on her client’s private life. She was on hand in New York when Penn was honored earlier this year at the Help Haiti: Urban Zen HHRH & The Stiller Foundation event, which honored the Oscar winner for his work on the island nation. Hmmmm….well you already know these two are down with the swirl, so we believe it!
